    Goldberg, Dr. Teresa A.
I have been seeing Dr. Goldberg for several years for my annual eye exams. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. Her office does a very thorough eye exam. The staff is very helpful in assisting me to choose new eyeglass frames.

They are students who are overseen by professors, they have the latest equipment, and they give you such a thorough exam, it is wonderful. If there is a problem with your glasses, or a new prescription, they are very responsive to you, and you can go right back. They have a wide selection of eye wear that you can choose from. They take the optometry insurance that I have, and so it is wonderful. They are very professional, and my physician told me it was the best place for me to go.

    UC BERKELEY OPTOMETRY CLINIC
This is a teaching facility. Everything eye exam and fitting of glasses is done by a student. A licensed and quot;realand quot; doctor comes in andbasically does the exam again to confirm the student has done everything correctly. This approach is very measured careful but generally takes twice a long as similar appointment in the doctors office.
The fee's are reported to be greatly discounted from what a doctors office would charge. My wife goes to another eye doctor, ironically a UC graduate, who charges about one third less than this clinic's discounted price. Likewise, the eye glass selection is excellent, but the discounted prices are much higher that what you can find in a retail environment.
Go here if you have the time and want to feel good about helping the optometry students. Cheaper exams and glasses can be found elsewhere.

    Solano Eye Care
I have been all over the Bay area looking for a doctor who could resolve my eye problems and give me a correct prescription for glasses. Dr. Woodring was able to do just that! He is very good, very thoughtful, and very thorough. Roger fitted my glasses efficiently and in a timely way. Everyone is the office is great!

    UC BERKELEY OPTOMETRY CLINIC
I am really happy with them. The students are very well trained and there is also a professional backing them up. They have good customer care. I didn't know what customer care was until I met them. I was referred by someone and I glad I went to them because they are excellent.

    UC BERKELEY OPTOMETRY CLINIC
They are very good about catering to the fact that I don't like eye puff test done. They have alternate ways of getting the same information. They have always been very accommodating about that. I also like that they let me use vintage frames. It is not always possible to get a convenient appointment quickly.

They are a kind of teaching place. They are very thorough but might take a little longer. They are very nice and accommodating. They have a lobby. I can make an appointment of the weekends and they are open a lot of hours.

    Woodring, Dr. P. Harold
He does a thorough, hour-long exam of your eyes to see if he can detect early any problems with glaucoma and things if you don't have any eye disease, but you should be going to an ophthalmologist if you have any really serious eye problems. He is more for screening and for eye glasses and the beginning stages of things but I would definitely go to an ophthalmologist if I had a more serious problem. He is an optometrist who will examine your eyes and give you a prescription and sell eye glasses. He will refer you to an ophthalmologist if he detects eye problems. He has been very good over the years. I don't buy glasses there because it is expensive. The exam itself is not expensive but the glasses can be a little more, but he is good for the eye exam and follow up and everything, and he takes insurance. He is friendly, but also business-like and not overtly friendly.

They are very through and professional. When you make an appointment, they wee you within 5 minutes of your appointment time. They communicate well and are personable. The ophthalmologist for the prescription lenses is the most professional that I've ever experienced.

I see the medical students there. It is very different from other places. I have been their patient for 28 years now. I also get my glasses there. The good thing about them is that if you are not happy with the prescription, they will keep working on it until they get it right. Not all optometrist would do that. It is not hard to get an appointment with them. I see somebody different everytime. I see different student everytime, but they are backed up by their teachers. The student does the eye exam and the teacher takes a look at it. If they find something interesting, they call half a dozen students to show them the same. I will continue to use this practice in the future.
