    I made an 11am appointment online specifically for replacing the battery of an iPhone. I arrived on time, waited in line for 10 minutes, and was then told that the technician who could do the work would not be in until 2pm. Why would they offer 11am appointments when the tech doesn't come in until 2pm? Clearly these people are either completely incompetent or have no regard for customer satisfaction. I took my iPhone to the Apple store which is farther away but at least they completed the work as promised.

    Ricardo'S Driving School
    We went to Ricardos so my girlfriend could learn how to drive. She just never learned when she was a teen and now she was ready. Alex was the instructor and on her first 2 hr. lesson things seemed ok. I soon learned however that he had no lesson plan and he let her drive wherever she wanted the first half hour while he played on his phone. One time while she was driving he even tried to show her a video on his phone WHILE DRIVING! It was not related to driving at all. He didnt have a clipboard to keep track of her progress and would never say how many more lessons she might need. I truly believe he was just riding my money right to the bank. I asked if he had a business license and he said it was grandfathered from the previous owner. I dont think he was even trained or certified to give driving lessons. He would have her "practice" left or right turns by going around the same block for an hour. Then he would have her stop at Starbucks so he could get a drink. After paying $125 per lesson for 7 lessons and she couldn't tell me the correct action for a simple driving situation I ended it. It normally takes 3 two hour lessons of driving to get someone to pass the test. She went for 14 hrs. and when we went to another school they recommended she practice for 25 hrs before the second lesson. A few months ago Alex texted my girlfriend and asked her to have me take down my poor review of him. I left it up on Yelp but I see that he has somehow gotten rid of all the bad reviews that were on there. Thats why I'm here. He is not teaching kids proper driving skills and that puts them and us at a dissadvantage. I believe if anything that kids need better training to make them safer on the roads, not someone playing on the phone.

    I needed a 10? x 10? storage unit to store some of my mother?s excess furniture and other items. I went to the Public Storage website and located a facility nearby. The advertised price was $131/month with ½ off the first month. I compared prices with other companies and decided this was competitive and the location was good so I went ahead with the online reservation process. It wasn't until the final screen that a mysterious one-time ?administrative fee? of $22 appeared. I went ahead anyway, not knowing that it would get worse. A couple of days later I went to the facility to pick out a unit and finalize the paperwork. I took along a printout of my reservation showing a ?Monthly Rent? of $131. I checked out the unit and everything was fine. I confirmed with the salesperson that the ?total monthly cost? (I used those exact words) after the first month would be $131.  This turned out to be a lie, because when we got back in the office I was informed that insurance was required at the minimum rate of $11/month. I said I didn't need insurance, and that there wouldn't be anything of sufficient value to require insurance. I was told that insurance was required because it is in the lease agreement. When I asked why this wasn't revealed on the website or wasn't mentioned when I asked about TOTAL cost, she had no answer. Evidently her training script had failed her. It was only after I indicated that I wasn't going to take the unit that she suddenly reneged and said I could just decline the insurance. But there?s more! She next revealed that the lock I thought was being provided for free would be an extra $17. 
    Clearly these practices are deceptive and unethical. The lease actually makes very clear that Public Storage is under no circumstances liable for any loss of the occupant?s property. Why should they care if their customers carry property insurance? No doubt they make money on the insurance sale. 
    At this point I would have gone elsewhere but due to time constraints I had no choice. Basically their business model is to squeeze as much money as they can from potential customers using whatever deceptive practices will work. 

    UPDATE -- After 6 months the rental rate went up by a staggering 12%. There is no imaginable justification for this increase.

    For the most part they kept in communication with us. They were great and they did good work. The only thing I will say is that the truck they were coming in had broke down. They called and let us know so we rescheduled. But then they didn't show up on that date. So we rescheduled again for the following day, he showed up that day but he was late. I think maybe the schedule wasn't communicated to everyone correctly.

    Time Masters Clocks Watches was very candid in dealing with the difficulties of an old German clock. I thought he was honest at the offset, you don't know what you are getting in to. He gave me a realistic date and he stuck by that date, he gave me a warranty and I actually used the warranty and took the clock back to him a month before the warranty was due and he told me that when you let the clock wind down like that, you have to use this little trick to start it back up again, he started it back up and didn't charge me for it. . He gave me a price and stuck to the price and he gave me a warranty and stuck to the warranty.
