Empire Eye and Laser Center: Central Office
The first apt we got in quickly. The second, we waited for over an hour. No complaints with the service, doctor or staff. That was all very good and thorough. Just don't understand why such a bad wait the second time. As far as cost it is probably average compared to most eye exams that are not discount centers. Most of it was applied to insurance so it is hard to judge.

Empire Eye and Laser Center: Central Office
I was really apprehensive but Dr. Chang's bedside manner, incredible knowledge, and caring demeanor put me at ease. If you are looking for an outstanding ophthalmologist go and see Dr. Daniel Chang at Empire Eye. The whole staff was very positive and super helpful, caring and kind. Dr. Chang was very thorough, knowledgeable, and took time to answer all my questions. His caring demeanor helped put me at ease when he advised that surgery would be required to correct my vision. Through extensive research I learned Dr. Chang is a highly distinguished ophthalmologist- distinguished among his peers with numerous awards and honors. Thank You Dr. Chang!! Now I can see without glasses!

    Hawley, Dr. John
My glasses broke and it had been quite awhile. They fixed them right away. Dr. Hawley is very good. You can't get in to see them very easily, it's takes awhile. I called today and I can't get in until September. You know exactly what is going to cost you when you get there.

Empire Eye and Laser Center: Central Office
He was competent and friendly. He shook my hand when he came in and when he left; I think he might have even worked in one more hand shaking. It was a thorough and careful exam. He spent time looking inside of his eyes and doing the whole glasses adjustment. I felt confident that he was quite capable.

    Golden State Eye Care
The experience was excellent. They are very good about getting me in quickly if I need. I usually get in within 10-15 minutes. The staff is very friendly. I can see out of my eye now and I couldn't see the E on the board before. I can see without glasses now. I didn't have to deal with the billing because I have two insurances.

    Kai Wong MD
Dr. Wong is a good friend. His organization is kind of a mess, I think. I trust him. If he tells me something he probably doggone right. He did an excellent job on my surgery. I am really happy with him. If you have a question he is right there with the answer, or he will find out, or ask one of his assistants. He has good communication. I would definitely use him in the future.

Empire Eye and Laser Center: Central Office
The office is pleasant and well-kept, with soft classical music playing. I initially saw Vin Dang, O.D., the primary care doctor for this practice. He found that I was allergic to one of the glaucoma eye drops that my previous doctor had prescribed. The discomfort disappeared when I stopped using the offending drug. Subsequently, he and I agreed that it was time to have the cataract in my right eye corrected. Dr. Daniel Chang performed the operation. I'll include further information in my review of him. Since then, I have continued to see Dr. Dang for follow-up of my glaucoma. I am very satisfied with his care, and I admire the fact that he recently volunteered to spend several weeks treating poor villagers in India who had no other access to eye care.

    Ratty, Dr. Stephen D.
The place and staff are all first rate and the experience was great. After seeing a remarkable change in my vision, I entered the selection process for new glasses and found the assistant to be very knowledgeable and friendly.

    Stainer, Dr. Gregory A
He's very good. My experience with him was excellent. It took a long time but it was excellent, very thorough, very well-done. They were well-organized. Everything went smoothly, sometimes it went slowly than others because there were a lot of appointments involved. He was hardly available at all, his staff was available if you needed them but we didn't ever meet them outside the usually appointment.

    Suter, Dr. Penelope S.
She works with quite a few handicapped kids. She works with a lot of people that have learning disabilities, dyslexia, cross eyes and concentration problems so she does a lot of therapy work in training people to use their eyes and brain together. She also does the complete eye exams which can be very difficult with my daughter because she doesn't concentrate for very long. She doesn't understand a lot of the directions that are given to her. She really can't do the standard eye examination because she can't differentiate. She does the same kind of examination that she would do on an infant. It is a very nice facility and they are very friendly. She works with a lot of kids. They have a play area and it is a protected area. The parents are required to watch their kids very carefully. They have a sign that says that unattended or disruptive children will be given copious amounts of sugar products and a free puppy.
