FHONEST JOHN'S SEPTIC TANK SVC**DURING CO-VID QUARANTINE*~~Overall Negative Experience. The whole thing left me mortified and ashamed for doing business with this company. They where nice during estimate, but left me hanging after I payed. They disregarded all my concerns after the job was done, and the receptionist was extremely rude and nasty, then hung up on me point blank, then they all stopped answering my calls all together even though I am still under "warranty". There is obviously no warranty or guarantee here what so ever, just a lie. They were trying to shrug me off until the "warranty" was over, now they essentially have told me "too bad, we are not going to do anything". And all this during the CO-VID QUARANTINE non the less..........- ASHLEY Z.

AJMS Express PlumbingThis is the second time I've used JMS. They had 2 laborers here for 3 days doing the work. They are prompt, honest and on-time. I had done some on-line research for the problem and had some specific questions for Angel, the foreman. He answered all my questions satisfactorily. Joe, the owner, came out to check the job at the end. It cost $3800. I didn't have time to get another bid as we were limiting our use of the tank. Considering what plumbers cost, I suspect the price was in the ball park. I gave the price a B because I think it was decent. I would have given an A only if I had obtained other bids. I highly recommend the company.- JOSEPH B.

AJMS Express PlumbingAfter a couple of rain delays, JMS came out to perform a sewer/drain inspection (including video) and cleaning on an older house/outbuilding on my property. Unfortunately, we could no located the 3-inch clean-out, so I had to remove a toilet for them to access the septic line. The tech did his best to get his equipment through the twists and turns of this old plumbing, but through not fault of his, was not able to fully complete the job. He did spend considerable time scoping the drains and septic system (to the point he could reach) and verified things were generally in decent shape, though some work still needs to be done (beyond the scope of the 'deal'). He provided a quote for the additional work (to get the septic system cleared up, install a 3-inch clean-out, etc.) and agreed to re-do the inspection/cleaning job for free at that point if we go forward with the work. All-in-all, a very personable tech, he was prompt for the appointment, and did the best he could given the circumstances. I'd definitely call again if/when I have plumbing needs.- Brian W.

ADash Plumbing and RooterAdam was patient throughout the permit process, and he met me several times downtown to help get the permit. Once we got our permit, Adam was at our house bright and early the next day with his back hoe. He made the process relatively painless, and he was extremely professional and friendly. He even did a few extra fixes for us that came up in the process. And best of all, we are now connected to the sewer line. We talked to a number of contractors for bids, and Adam was not only the least expensive but also the most responsive. It's a big job, and good contractors are very busy. Adam made time for us, and treated us amazingly.- Yvesq S.

AShore Line Septic PumpingI initially contacted Logical Rooter from Angie's List, but he was extremely busy, so he referred me to Cesar Rameriz who owns Shore Line. He arrived on time and spent a tremendous amount of time (about 1 1/2 hours) making sure the tank was properly cleaned out. He didn't just pump and leave! He even cut some roots out of the tank. I would recommend him without hesitation.- JOSEPH B.

AThompson Family Plumbing & RooterThey were amazing. Had a Friday night event at our church where some bored kid put massive amounts of TP into the system and completely backed it up. They came first thing Saturday morning and got it cleared (no small feat) so that it wouldn’t impact our weekend services. Love these folks!!- Neil H.

AWe were very pleased with Jeff. He replied quickly by email on a Sunday, just a few hours after we posted it on Angie's list and gave us an estimated cost and time he was available. He called and came even earlier and fixed the clog and noticed that our dryer was spreading lint outside of the vent and repaired that as well. He was very professional and clearly knew what he was doing. What we really liked is that he explained everything and gave us hints to avoid problems in the future. We would definitely use him again.

AMario and his coworker Sam arrived when scheduled. They quickly found the problem. Rather than just fixing it with some of the many parts on the truck, they went to the nearby home center to get the exactly correct repair part. After fixing the problem, they identified the original cause, installed extra parts to limit future damage, and recommended ways to prevent additional damage. The cost and time were as quoted.

APretty well. They installed a 40 gallon natural gas water heater at a standard price at my rental property. The main thing I like is that they didn't overcharge for the attachments like some other companies. The gas flex lines and drip pan didn't cost me another $500. Dash Plumbing on Angie's List is advertising $799 but quoted me $1500-$1700 to include the flex lines, vent, and drip pan. Even when my tenant smelled gas leak while doing, laundry, they came back the next day to solve it.

Professional installation of greywater irrigation and rainwater harvesting systems. Most people in Los Angeles water their plants with drinking water while letting perfectly usable water from bathtubs, showers and laundry go down the drain. Our systems recapture this lightly-used water and use it a second time for landscape irrigation. Greywater can be used on fruit trees, shade trees and larger ornamentals, it is not recommended for grass or native plants (which can get too much water). We a...

AJoe and the Greywater Corps team came out and provided an assessment of which recapture system would be best suited to our property. We went with a laundry to landscape system to irrigate three fruit trees in our backyard, which are now thriving. The system is easy to use (a valve next to our washer can be switched on and off as needed) and the installation was completed expertly and efficiently. I would absolutely recommend this team to anyone looking for a smart way of irrigating their landscape.

AThe leach lines for our septic system started to fail, so we contacted several companies for options. There were few choices that would perform conversions to sewer; the other company that came out never even provided an estimate. Mike from Gopher gave us a lot of helpful information - bottom line was that our local government won’t issue permits for septic work if you have access to sewer, which we did, so we bit the bullet to convert. Gopher did everything as planned, and finished early due to a cancellation in their schedule. Everyone in the crew was polite and communicated as needed. Mike was in touch frequently and we always knew what was happening. They cleaned up after themselves nicely. Overall we’re very pleased despite a surprise very expensive project.
