    Independent Physical Therapy
An Excellent Physical Therapy Experience. I sustained a very painful knee injury with tears in the ACL and MCL ligaments. IPT in Sherman Oaks was wonderful. The Physical Therapist Danielle instructed, guided, and evaluated my progress at each visit. The PT Technician Anthony assisted me with exercises to strengthen my knees and the muscles surrounding my knee(s). This was my second time using IPT in a five-year period. Each time, post therapy I am more knowledgeable, my injuries are vastly improved, and I have added body strength to assist in preventing re-injury. Karina, the receptionist, is very pleasant, helpful and professional. Making appointments was never stressful. I recommend IPT in Sherman Oaks to everyone. This is the place to go to get better. Thank you for everything Danielle, Anthony, Karina and IPT!

    Tiffany Hume ~ Therapeutic Bodywork
Tiffany is a truly gifted Bodyworker and Craniosacral Therapist with deep knowledge and intuition about the body and works mulit-dimensionally on many levels. We have worked on many physical injuries and traumas I have had throughout my life helping me regain alignment and balance and she is an incredibly compassionate support on the mental and emotional levels as well as the spiritual. I feel safe, understood and deeply cared for in our sessions. I even have new eyes in my head after experiencing double vision and vertigo off and on for years! She is truly a healer!

    Duncan McBride MD
She would highly recommend Duncan McBride at the Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center. Her microdiscectomy experience went smoothly and so far has been a success. The initial new patient appointment was prompt and relaxed. He took time to answer all her questions so she didn't feel rushed. The staff was efficient and caring when responding to additional questions and concerns before, during, and after the surgery. The follow-up post surgery appointment was able to be done at the Harbor/UCLA Medical Center which was very convenient. Again, she was able to get answers to her list of questions without feeling rushed.

    Neck & Back Medical Center
I see Dr. Green regularly. They are always very friendly and accommodating. They are very flexible with scheduling appointments and other members in our family go there as well. I have referred other individuals to this practice.

    The Spine Institute
Dr. Wang was most reassuring and professional. I was referred to him by a friend of mine and a doctor at UCLA and patient of Dr. Wang's. My result was positive, but unfortunately I had a complication, a dural sac leak, which I found out later happens in about 15% of these cases. This meant another operation and five days on my back waiting to see if the repair was successful, which it was. I am without pain for the first time in many years and even though i encountered some complications, I was very satisfied with Dr. Wang's team. As a side note, I can't say I was as happy with UCLA Santa Monica Hospital. The nursing staff went from great to "I hate my job, why am I here?" Without my wife as advocate 24 hours a day, things would have been much worse. Having just been at Cedars for cancer surgery, there is no comparison in the quality of care. Many other surgeons were recommended to me, all who no longer take any kind of insurance. I am completely happy with my choice of Dr. Wang and his team....just be careful at the hospital and ask a lot of questions!

    Duncan McBride MD
I was a highly active mom of 4 who coached marathon teams and who competed in marathons and triathlons. Following rupturing my L5 disc in the trampoline with my kids I had a microdiscectomy with a different surgeon. This operation led to 2 additional back surgeries which left me with a drop foot and continued daily pain.  I was told the drop foot and nerve pain I suffered from where mine for life. Nine months after the 3rd microdiscectomy I was in need of a fusion of my L5,S1.  Dr. McBride performed the surgery. He not only cured my back pain, he returned mobility to my foot by removing scar tissue and finally freeing my sciatic nerve.  Dr. McBride was patient, informative and compassionate.  He has a great bedside manner and obviously knows his trade.  I recommend him 100%.  He fixed the mess my first surgeon made and gave me back my active life!

All my surgeries have been successful.  Unfortunately I have degenerative disc disease, and arthritis causing narrowing at most levels of my spine, and bulging discs -- which most likely means there will be more surgery in my future.  I do not in any way look forward to this probability.  But at least I know I have one of the very best surgeons in the country, that I trust without a doubt and that I feel safe with, to continue repairing my spine as needed.

    Richard E. Uhler, DO
Dr. Uhler specializes in the spine and neck and works with Dr. Ebsher. He's a very good doctor. He assisted Dr. Abshire with my most recent back surgery. I broke my back in Vietnam and the Veteran's Administration did about everything that they could do and out of desperation I started seeking further assistance and Dr. Abshire was the guy. He is a top gun spinal surgeon and he's not a hack. My back was at a level where the disk had basically turned to peanut brittle and I thought they were going to fuse me and he went in with the minimal evasive procedure. I have flexibility and I haven't really been down since and that's been several years now. I give him very high marks. Dr. Uhler is a very personable young doctor and treats a lot of the high school kids and athletes. He's a nice guy and just a really good practitioner. It's a pleasure to go see him because he's a friend. He's got a good bedside manner and all the people that work for him just love him. He's the kind of guy that you expect to help you. He exudes a lot of confidence and has the charm and the wisdom and the eyes of a much older man. He kind of reminds you of an old family doctor. Just a really good guy. He always sees me and is also my wife's doctor. They also have comfortable furniture in their office.
