I arrived at 9:00 for a 9:15 appointment. The front office was prompt and professional. I had to fill out several forms and show ID and insurance cards. I went into the room around 9:10. A medical assistant came in a took a history on a computer and then took me to X-ray. I was ready for the doctor at 9:20 and he came in at 9:25. He was knowledgeable and friendly. He evaluated my knee and shoulder, gave me a diagnosis and discussed treatment options. I was done by 9:40 with home exercises and a prescription. I went back a month later and have been very pleased.

I have used several doctors there. They are good. Dr. Hamilton has done three surgeries on my shoulders.

He is a caring doctor and really listened to me. He tried different things for my arm and referred me to different specialists to help it heal.

Medcessity provided more ?perks? than other facilities.  Before treatment, they used electrode stimulation.  That process made the ?manipulation? of my shoulder less painful.  They used a ?roller/stick? that for lack of a better word ?ironed out or flattened? scar tissue.  At the end of sessions, I was attached to a machine that cooled my tired muscles while, at the same time, it stimulated them.  I enjoyed the entire ?team?.  When I?d arrive, one of several assistants started my preparation (ex. The electrode stimulation); then, I?d been seen by Jonathan who would do the manipulation, ?measuring? and determining the mobility or strengthening exercises.  The facility has a wide range of equipment (some seen in all facilities and others that were uncommonly used); consequently, I never felt bored.  I, particularly, enjoyed the ?Body Blade? and the Pilates machine.  The entire team was efficient, organized and pleasant to work with.  Their appointment reminder system was appreciated.  Reminders were texted to my cell phone and were sent via email.  There is free and convenient parking. As I mentioned in the beginning of this review, this was my third shoulder surgery and consequent physical therapy.  I improved each time; however, this time was a pleasant experience.  There was less pain, more choices of equipment, and having a team approach saved time.  I did not have to wait for the therapist to begin my session; or supervise exercises; or to provide ?rap up? (ex. Ice pack machine).  I highly recommend Medcessity and Jonathan (because he was my therapist); however, I observed the other therapist, Manual.  He, too, provided excellent skills and had a great rapport with his patients/clients.  .

Desert Orthopedic Center took me in on an emergency basis. It doesn't take much for the injury I have but they've been very good with follow-up. The chiropractor does follow-up under the supervision of Dr. Gore. They take their time. They ask questions and listens to you.

The office and staff were very nice, and I was seeing the Dr. only 35 minutes after my appointment time (pretty quick in my doctor experiences). He did about 5 minutes of motion tests, and told me it was only a strain and to stay off it. He was very friendly and cracking jokes much of the time. He offered to do an X-ray, but told me it was probably a waste. I declined.

In summer of 2011 I developed pain and loss of range of motion in my left shoulder.  In August they did evaluation and MRI and determined I had a full tear of roator cuff and it would require surgery of I would evential lose most shoulder function.  I wanted to wait until October and had surgery conpleted at their surgival center.  They took care of everything from preparing me with the special splint and having medications ready, suggesting post surgery therapy and getting me through the procedure.  He did a great job and within 6 months I am 100% with full range or motion and no more pain.  All the staff especially his physicians asstant were great too. Only hassle is sometimes had long waits and billing department was a mess.  if you use them double check everything with your insurance or they could leave you without proper coverage or huge out of pockets.  It worked out but I caught them in several mistakes that could have cost thousands if not corrected I would use any of the doctors at SCOI again.  The are big but they are the best

I took X-rays. I was concerned about my deteriorating hip. He looked at the X-rays and he said your hip is fine. And when I described the symptoms, he kind of twisted my leg and do what doctors do. He said he think it's my sciatic, he thinks that is were the problem lies. And he thought that physical therapy would help, so he sent me in. The pain was in my hip area, but it was resolved to the sciatic nerve. One time I broke my left hand and he had me in his office the same day. If you are going in for a regular appointment, you probably need to call a couple of week in advance. But if you've got a real severe problem, they fit you in right away. The staff is very friendly. The communication is very good. I know exactly what is going on when I walk out of the office.

I was a bit skeptical about prolotherapy, which is not widely practiced. But I had been told it was very effective for sore joints and decided to give it a try. I initially went to Dr. Alderman for a very painful thumb. She performed an ultrasound and diagnosed tendonitis and arthritis. After three treatments, I have regained full range of motion and hope to be pain-free soon. I have been so pleased with the progress I am making that I have now begun treatment on my inflamed rotator cuff shoulder pain.
