    Joe Young Construction
Joe was very easy to work with, and did excellent work. His prices were very reasonable, and he often threw in things at no extra cost, which was wonderful! One of the things that I really appreciated was that he responded back to me promptly whenever I texted him. True to any business, there were times when unexpected things came up and he had to postpone work that he had planned to be doing for me on a certain day, but he always communicated these issues to me, and when I had something that really needed to be done right away (such as getting the plumbing to the washing machine fixed on a weekend) he found a way to make it happen. I will definitely be hiring Joe to do work for me again in the future.

    Rogall Flooring
Jason did an awesome job with my flooring needs. There were several challenges... bedrooms where the floors needed to be built up to match the level of the living room floor. Tile removal. Removal of colored concrete in the kitchen and dining room. Floating to level the living room, dining room and kitchen floors as much as possible. Grinding of concrete in the master bedroom. Nothing in the house was level... even the walls were built at a slight angle. Thanks to Jason and his crew, I now have beautiful laminate floors throughout my house. Visually very appealing, with smooth transitions between the rooms! Jason is a perfectionist, and it shows in his work. He was very easy to work with, and was very good at coming up with solutions to meet my needs and desires. If I ever need flooring work again, I will definitely be using Rogall Flooring. The results far exceeded my expectations!

    CENTRAL COAST CASUALTY RESTORATION INC.
All work performed by CCC or their sub-contractors was top notch. The initial damage treatment of drying out, cleaning up, and removal of all ruined materials was fast, efficient and clean. The office end of the task - paperwork, insurance company, etc- was always handled professionally and quickly. When I called or emailed they responded within hours. Plumbing and plumbers who came out were all excellent, friendly and smart. Flooring contractor had a great idea that helped us match our existing hard wood floor without tearing out 1000 square feet of it and his workers were fast and great. Tiler, Doug, was old school (real mortar bed, etc) and his work, while not speed racer, was the best I've seen and I tiled 2 of my bathrooms myself. He did just excellent work! Wood worker/ carpenter Ted, who handled the redesign and finish of our linen closet, was so good that we have since hired him to help us finish our Kitchen and I will also be hiring him to do another custom project for our living room soon (when I finish my task for the kitchen!). All in all, if I have another house disaster ( please, no!) I will call CCC immediately.

Excellent work and attention to detail. Jason really cares about his work and it shows in the results. He created a beautiful wood floor from a busy Hickory wood pattern and it looks stunning. Yes, the look is perfect but, more importantly, the quality of the installation is excellent. I know we will enjoy this floor for years and years to come. Thank you so much.

    Templeton Flooring
Summary - Templeton Flooring may fit your budget and your schedule, but in our experience you get what you pay for - and it's not quality work.
    The full story:
On February 2014, we had a leak in our front living room area, and it necessitated replacement of all contiguous laminate flooring we had, which went from our front living room, dining room and family room (approximately 1600 square feet). We called upon a contractor  (CCCR) who worked with Templeton Flooring because "Templeton Flooring keeps schedule."
When the time came to get the flooring folks out, the Templeton Flooring licensed contractor showed up on time but left shortly after, leaving his son and a friend to do the actual work. The licensed contractor didn't actually oversee any of the work.
Being 8 months pregnant and on bedrest, I was unable to constantly watch their work. However  I did get up and watch these guys work several times throughout the day and what I did notice was two rather immature 20-somethings who took lots of breaks, smoked in our backyard and used our backyard furniture for lunches without asking, played really loud music indoors, and made a general mess - dumping construction garbage in our kitchen garbage inside and leaving a layer of dust everywhere. The flooring contractor that originally showed up never visited the site, and I knew this because I could hear the guys come in and out of the house and I was worried that our cats would escape because they just left our doors open. I asked them on multiple occasions to keep the doors shut because we have cats, and they either had a selective memory or were just not detail oriented because I had to ask them several times to shut the doors they left hanging open.
I noticed that the flooring pad wasn't taped together and they were using the flooring cutting machines inside. The result was a very dusty mess that they then "cleaned up" by using large construction brooms inside, which kicked up a lot of dirt and set off my asthma. Everything was coated with a fine layer of dust after they left and that necessitated us hiring a cleaner to clean everything - including the guest bathroom which was quite "used" by them.
Right when I went into labor (the second week in June) my husband noticed a huge bulge in the flooring near the garage. We called the Templeton flooring folks and after a few phone calls they got back to us and schedule the kid to fix the bulge.
A few weeks later, we noticed that the flooring was bulging  and gapped in several other areas. The kid came out (not the licensed contractor) and filled the gaps with woodfiller and used a permanent wood marker to fill the gaps (you could totally see the marker) and told me that "floor cleaner" would remove the visible marker strokes. He also said that I'd have to talk to his dad, which was the licensed contractor to schedule him to come out to inspect the new bulges.
After several phone calls, we had the licensed contractor come out and use solvent to remove the marker stains that the son left. At that time he fixed a bulging transition near our sliding glass door but said we'd have to schedule a time for him to come out and fix the floor and it would require re-installing all the floor.
We called Templeton Flooring to schedule the reinstall and after a discussion with Suzi at Templeton Flooring, we discovered that it was a surprise to her that the actual licensed contractor wasn't actually overseeing the bulk of the work. His son (unlicensed) was the one who installed all the flooring and did the majority of the "fixes".
She scheduled a time for them to completely re-install all the flooring (July 2014). When they installed the flooring a second time, the licensed flooring contractor and two of his sons showed up. We had a baby at that point, but because of our previous experience with them I asked my mom to fly out to take care of the baby so I could watch them like a hawk.
The contractor pointed out to the son on multiple occasions the sons mistakes - too much glue on the transitions made the transitions bulge, the pad wasn't taped so it made for gaps, the flooring was not cut right so it created bulges. My mom overheard the licensed flooring guy pull his son aside and cuss out his son and point out his mistakes, though to our face he blamed our house temperature and moisture for all the problems.
In September, we noticed more issues with gapping  so you could see large gaps between the transitions and the flooring. The son came out and replaced the transitions.
In October, we noticed 1/8" to 1/4" gaps between the floor boards - large enough to fit several coins on their end. After a few phone calls to Templeton Flooring, Suzi and a different licensed flooring guy came out to inspect and they agreed to send a different crew to fix the gaps in November. They had to glue almost all the floorboards together - one of the guys on the crew said that he counted almost 50 spots that they had to glue and tape just in one room!
It's December now (remember - we started this flooring fiasco in MAY of this year, 7 MONTHS AGO) and we are seeing bulges in the transitions next to our two sliding glass doors.
We have to give credit to the business owner Susie Torgerson who was very polite and willing to send guys out to fix the floors each time.
But if we could do it all over again, we WOULD NOT use Templeton Flooring. The headaches, the sleepless nights, the worry and the phonetag is just not worth it. We are VERY disappointed  and frustrated with them, and wish they would refund our money and PAY for another company to do the work instead of having to call their crew out to our house again, again, again and again.

We had a  leak from the Master Bath toliet that was ongoing for awhile.  Kevin repaired all the subfloor damaged by the leak as well as the ceiling and insulation in the room below the toliet. Tore out all the bad pipe and prepaired  it for our plumber to come in and re-pipe and install a new toliet. Very professional job done.

    Bruce Carlson Installations
My tile floor had to be removed due to water damage. I needed hardi backer board replaced as well. Bruce came out and did an excellent job. I thought the previous tile work was nice but this tile work is what I would call excellent. My previous tile floor required base boards that collected dust and were difficult to clean but they were necessary to hide the uneven line where the tile butted up to the cabinets. Bruce cut my tile perfectly right up to all my cabinets (and there are many of them including and island) and he cut every corner in my kitchen and the doorways absolutely perfect. The grout lines are perfect, the layout is perfect and I no longer need any baseboards. It just looks that good, I'm so happy.
I can also say that this contractor came out right on schedule, took his time to produce a perfect job, was personable and I never had any concerns about leaving him in my home unattended. He even was proficient in disconnecting my dishwasher (which is hard wired to the wall), removing it to tile under it and then reconnecting the electrical wiring. I give Bruce Carlson an A+++

    Amundson Construction
No work was done as I have never received an estimate or a return phone call from either Amundson Construction or RP Development. I'm not sure if the job I needed done was too small, if both of these companies were too busy to do the work or if it was something they just didn't feel like doing since neither Sean nor Robert could bother to call me and give me an excuse for their lack of response. There is no excuse for poor customer service such as this. In this case, a smile and a handshake were not enough.

Cinderella Carpet One Floor & Home
Carpet One Cinderella ripped out the entire floor and replaced it with some material like real liquidy cement. They put my choice of linoleum. I was having a little bit scared about having the linoleum replaced. I had a job previously many years ago, they set out to do the job and did a very sloppy job but this man was perfect. He did all the little curves and worked around all these different contortions and what not. He did an excellent job. It looks perfect.

    Central Coast Handyman & Landscape
Mitchell Baxter gave us an estimate for some landscaping work to be done.  He originally said he could not get to our job for several weeks which we were ok with.  He presented very well.  He called us about a week later and said he could squeeze our job in.  Its just a small job, new sod, re-route sprinklers, place a fire pit.  We were excited when he came over and wrote us up a work order and asked for a $2000.00 deposit which we paid.  Since then he came by for about an hour and dug two holes in the area to be worked in and has never returned.  It is now over 2 weeks, he will not answer his phone or return calls or texts.  After we started having problems with him I looked here, on Angies List and found a bad review, I have since found other bad reviews on the internet.  He has stolen our money.
