    Jeff & Diana's Pool & Spa Service
Awesome. Great person to work with and very knowledgeable. Also helped me with replacing the connectors to the pool pump with no extra charge over the phone. Would definitely hire him again for his services.

The Pool Guys Remodeling & Repair
From start to finish, Tim and April were awesome. They were like clockwork with their schedule. April was out every day to make sure things were going smoothly. When tile was not fitting exactly as it should on the spa, she had her guys cut down the gunite a bit so it is perfect. Everything was finished on schedule and without a hitch. I would definitely recommend and hire them again. They are really good people.

When i was looking to replace my skimmer, i found this company through Angie's list. I contacted them and they responded promptly. I scheduled the appointment. The person visited our house was very technical and detailed too. He was exploring few options to fix the leaking skimmer and gave the reasonable quote for replacing the skimmer.

They quickly found the issue and went straight to work. They were done with the service within an hour. They were the only company we could find in the area that did this type of work. They were on the expensive side but we didn't have any other options.

I called Affordable Pools to repair or replace my pool motor. The people at Affordable were very friendly, professional and completed the repair in a couple of days. They also advised me on the reason for the motor shorting out and how to avoid it in the future.  I highly recommend Affordable and will rely on them for future repairs.

    Delmae Pool Service
I recently purchased a home with a 1970s pool and an old Purex pool filter. While treating the pool to deal with an algae bloom, I found that I didn't know how to properly open and clean the filter. I called Mike on Sunday afternoon--he answered right away and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 1pm.
Mike arrived right on time. He showed me how to open the filter and advised me about possible issues with the o-ring on the filter and explained that it occasionally needs to be replaced if it is stretched or damaged. He then disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled the filter, showing me the steps and tricks along the way.
He answered all of my questions about replacing my pool pump with a variable speed model to save money and he recommended a different suction-based pool cleaner device when my current model needs replacement.
He also performed a full water chemistry test and explained a few alternative options to the products and techniques I received from the local pool supply store.
Mike was great--very honest, patient, easy to speak with, and he explained all of the details to me that the local pool supply store didn't. He is so much more personable than the teenager behind the counter at the pool supply store who lazily mumbled instructions to me. He had several recommendations for saving money, and offered a few options for different chemicals that were less expensive and more appropriate for my particular pool chemistry issues.
I'm going to try to tackle the pool myself for now, but it's good to know that Mike is a phone call and a few miles away in case I have any questions or need any assistance.

    Pacific Pool Tile Cleaning
We called Matt and he responded immediately came over and gave us an estimate. He was very honest and said our pool didnt look that bad and maybe just emptying the pool and fresh water would be better but if we decide to have it acid wash to give hime a call. After our 4th of July party we decided we wanted it acid washed. We gave Matt a call he came to our house the next day set up the pump and the next after that came out and did the acid wash. He tested the plaster and did a section. He showed me the difference before he finished and you could see a difference. He felt like a light acid wash meaning half acid and half water mixture would be better for plaster and I agreed. Pool looks great. I feel that Matt knows what he is talking about so I already referred him to two I my friends. I definitely would use Matt again. He also had another person assisting him who was very polite as well.

    Veteran Pools & Plastering
Overall, it was outstanding. He did a great job, but there were just a couple of things. Like all contractors, when they're done, they're done. There might be a tiny bit of something that needs to be done and you don't see them anymore. So, I guess that's what happened. I mean, it had nothing to do with his construction ability, because that was really good. The work was really good. It was prompt, he had good people working, everything he said he was going to do he did and it was a reasonable price. Nothing's reasonable actually with a pool repair, but it was as reasonable as you can get. Overall, the pool experience was good. There were just a couple of things that I wish he had done that he didn't do. He's really good, but his follow up was a little bit lacking when he was done. But, the work is outstanding.

    Revco Solar Engineering, Inc.
We got an estimate of over $4000 to replace 5 panels.  We called Revco Solar for an additional estimate. The representative set an appointment, arrived on time and examined the pool and the system.  He recommended that we replace the panels, but based on our pool size and our usage of it, said that 4 panels would be sufficient to meet our needs. The estimate was much lower than the first one we received. Revco Solar uses Fafco panels and the panels that were to be replaced were also Fafco. We were very satisfied with those panels, so we signed a contract for replacement.  We had a phone call within an hour after he left, from Revco. and set the installation for one week later.    The installers arrived on time and were very courteous and efficient. They explained what they were going to do and proceeded with the installation.  The job was completed in a few hours and was done very professionally.  We are pleased with the job and would gladly use them for any other problems we might have.

Approximately a few months after the pool work was done we noticed the plaster was very discolored and tiles started falling off.  Next were gaps in the cantilever decking.  Art said he would take care of the problems.  We were unsure of how he was going to handle the repairs so he had us call his engineer and we were told by the engineer that Art did not use the rebar correctly or put the proper barrier between the pool and the cantilever deck..  We were told that the discolored plaster was not guaranteed and that it was our fault for some dirt getting into the pool, he then said he would check with his supplier to see if he could get reimbursement on the plaster.  After having several pool contractors come out and look at our problems, we were told by them that he had plastered in the main drain and the decking was wrong (not up to code and drains should have been put in the decking) also plaster was poor quality to have discolored so fast.  After starting the repairs and we were not happy with the way things were going Art  said he could not make us happy and walked off the job.  We contacted an attorney to send him a letter and have not gotten a response.

We were in contact with the state licensing board. He agreed to settle with us for $6000. He had ten days to return the money. On the tenth day he called the state board and told them he was not going to do it. We are now going into arbitration.

We went to arbitration and received a decision in our favor, now we wait to see if we get paid.
