    Sears Appliance Repair
    Sears warranty is worse than useless. I purchased a water heater here. I bought the one with the longest warranty which is 12 years, so that I would not have to worry about a repair anytime in the near future. After 4 years, my Kenmore water heater started gushing water. After calling the service number, it took 3 more days for a repair person to come. When that person did come (showing up late after I had already waited 4 hours) he told me a repair part was necessary and that he would "expedite" the ordering. Well, if expedite means that it will come a week later, then I guess he did. Has anyone heard of FedEx? In the meantime, I was without how water for 10 days. I talked to the service people (who by the way are based in Manila) and to the store manager multiple times to ask for a faster resolution. The answer I uniformly got was "I do not have the authority to help you with that." I probably made a dozen calls. At one point the hold was so long I gave up. I could not wait any longer, and paid a local plumber to install a new water heater. It was worth $1000 to get rid of that appliance and all of the bad karma from Sears. Sears, shame on you.

    Patrick's Plumbing And Appliance Repair
    When you call them, a real person answers the phone! Patrick's wife, Carrie, answers the phone and is very pleasant and schedules a time for Patrick to come out. I've never had to wait more than a few hours! Sometimes Carrie comes out as well. They are both very friendly and pleasant as well as professional.
    Patrick seems to know all about different appliances, has the tools and knows where to get whatever else might be needed. He is fast and efficient. He also cleans up any mess that he may have made doing the repairs which I certainly appreciate too!
    Thanks to the 3:1 service my disposal is now working. I have another burner on my stove to use.  I have a nice ice maker instead having to use those ancient ice cube trays.
    My cats even liked them and they took time to notice them and pet them too!

    I called them to repair refrigerator. Toby came several times to fix the issue, because the manufacturer was sending wrong, faulty parts to him. He did not charge extra for those trips. He tried very hard to fix the issue even though it was design flaw by manufacturer. Very polite guy, listens to costumer needs.

    failed  twice while previously IN warranty. When the refrigerator subsequently failed just after the dishwasher died, we beat feet and went to Sears to purchase two new appliances. Two-year-old appliances should not have to be replaced unless they are cheaply made and woefully maintained, and that was not the case in these instances.

    We had a unique problem with our oven. Rather than charge me to come to
    my home for an evaluation, Moon appliance called me, asked me a series
    of questions -- trying to troubleshoot our unusual problem. We gave him
    information, he researched our problem on line, again called me back a
    few days later with a solution. We scheduled a time for the repair, he
    showed up within the time range he gave us, fixed the problem, and was
    on him way in no time. He did a great job.

    parts. At the end of our dealings, they wanted to repair another part at a cost of $340.00
    more. At that time we gave up on them as incompetent.

    Work was scheduled as soon as I called at a time that accommodated my work schedule. Technician arrived right on schedule. He immediately diagnosed extreme build up of scum in and around my washer barrel as the cause of the smelly machine. He took it all apart and cleaned it thoroughly and efficiently. I've learned something about maintaining washing machines, and my laundry smells better now.

    The intial trip to our home was to diagnose the problem with my dishwasher and then to order the part. As soon as the part arrived, an appointmet was made for the following day. The technicians were very professional and did not push me to repair, gave me the cost of a new unit vs. repairing the unit. They were on time for both scheduled appointments. The repair time was estimated at 1/2 hour and it took about an hour and a half but the cost did not increase. I was will use them again and give their cards to my friends.

    We have not had any problems with our range since they did the repair. It did take a while to have the repair done because they ordered the part and when it came in it was the wrong part so they had to reorder the part again. The actual repair only took about 15 minutes.
