    Massage by Kasie
Massage by Katie is one of the best massages I have gotten. Very knowledgeable, very thorough and helpful. If you need a person who knows how to use massage techniques for therapy, Katie is a good person to see. I intend to use her often. Good massage therapists are hard to find. She is a keeper.

    Paragon Orthopedic Center
We met with Dr. Van Horne approximately 7 weeks prior to surgery.  At that time, we were given a packet of information relating to my hip replacement surgery.  This packet was extremely detailed and contained specific information on the anterior hip replacement surgery that he would be performing.  In addition, it included an independent strengthening exercise program which was intense and aggressive for someone who had been unable to exercise due to the pain I had been experiencing from the severe hip arthritis.  Dr Van Horne was very clear about his list of pre-requisites to be completed before I would be able to have surgery.  It became clear that it was my responsibility to begin his "Conservative Care" program in order to proceed with the replacement without delays.  This program consisted of specific strengthening exercises designed for the hip as well as a walking program.  At the time I was overweight and my diabetes was not as controlled as it should have been.    Dr Van Horne's protocol for hip replacement is unique and I will forever be in his debt.  Initially, I may have questioned the exercise program's aggressive schedule.  However, I was excited and very motivated after our initial visit, and hit the program with a vengeance. It soon became apparent that Dr. Van Horne had perfected a protocol that works!!!  As a result, within 6 weeks I had lost 30 pounds, had my A1c (sugar) level lower than it had been in years and was walking an hour a day.  The first day was painful, but every day after it became easier.  My BMI was down from 35 to 30.  I'm 67 years old and I feel better now than I have in ten years.   I had surgery on 3/10/16 and as a result of meeting the protocol Dr. Van Horne had set for me, I did great.  Came out of surgery and was up walking one hour later (his anterior hip approach is less painful as he does not cut the muscles).   Four hours after surgery, I left the surgery center on my own two feet; standing tall and with absolutely no pain. His directions and preparations prior to surgery and after surgery were detailed and covered everything from A to Z.  I resumed the exercise program the same day as surgery and am following it to this day.  If you want to be informed, encouraged, motivated and totally satisfied with your surgery, I can't say enough about Dr. Van Horne and his entire staff at the Paragon Orthopedic Center in Grants Pass!  My primary doctor did me one of the biggest favors of my life by recommending this doctor.  His reputation speaks for itself with the highest success rate in Oregon.  Great surgeon, great program, great bedside manner; it was a real joy to be involved with his facility.

    Hodges, Dr. Wayne J.
This is by far the BEST Chiropractic care I have ever received. From the first time I entered to this present day, all of the staff are very friendly and helpful and Dr. Hodges, well the Dr. actually listens and addresses your concerns. I have been to numerous chiropractors in the area over the years since my injury and A.V. Chiropractic gets my best ever compliments. I sincerely hope that they prosper in all that they do, great people.

    Drew, Dr. Danny E.
My whole family has been seeing Dr. Drew for various periods of time my husband and I for 4 years my sister and her family longer my mother around six months or so. There is never complaints about the Dr. He is the best. All doctors need to take lessons from him. It just always his office staff, from making mistakes about ordering meds to changing appointments or messing them up and NEVER owning up to what they have done. But none of their problems would ever make us leave Dr. Drews care.

The staff was very cool. all of them were very helpful and the best bed side manner and took time to answer all my questions. I seen DR K, very good,i bet he got rid of 60% of the pain i had, and again these guys take time to tell ya was going on with your treatment, ect. like i said ive been to a lot of DRs and these guys are the only ones that helped me out. open door clinic wasted time and alot of money.i would fully tell anyone with back issues to see these guys. Tindall, Dr. Mark L.
My experience with him has been very good and I will continue to use his services in the future. The staff is very friendly and very eager to help and so is Dr. Tindall. If I am hurting very badly, I can stop in the office and tell them that I am hurting. He will take you right away to help you. When he did my hip replacement he was very good and explained everything thoroughly. His prices are very reasonable also.

    Michael Gill MD
Dr Gill very thoroughly explained options and used electronic visuals to display the condition so a lay person could understand. He has a very casual manner that is not intimidating and is very friendly. I was satisfied that the conditions I went to him for were not critical; and my husband was very satisfied with his surgery in January. Last week he waled 15 miles without knee pain; and will hike Mt Whitney next month. We were able to reassure a friend who needed both knees operated on at the same time that, as Dr Gill said, the surgery would be "easy peasy"!! And, it was!!

    Ihor Kalicinsky MD
His office is very nice. He never double books so dont miss your appointment. The awesome thing though is that not only does he not double book patients(our old dr quadruple booked!) but you are able to see him for around 30-45 mins on your first visit or as much time is really needed. After that, visits generally run approx 15 mins or so with the dr! Most drs seem to see you for 30 seconds it seems. He charts everything out and is very thorough. For instance, if you see him for one thing he may notice that you sound a little congested and he'll check that out too. Okay so basically if you are on time you will be taken back immediately with the nursing staff and then seen by the doc for a total of around 20 mins average. That means you can go see him on your lunch rather than wasting your afternoon sitting in a waiting room. As for care, you really cant beat it. Because he is so thorough, and caring, you actually get the help you need. He's not afraid to help the real patients. So many doctors, particularly pain managment doctors, are afraid to actually help for fear that the patient may abuse the system but as he is so thorough he is great at weeding out the issues and, if necessary, making referals to other specialists. Thank you!

    Marshall Orthopedics
The hip surgery went very well. They got me out of bed the day after. With a walker I was able to take a couple of small steps. That same evening the physical therapst came and had me do a few movements with my feet and then had me sit on the edge of my bed for awhile. All the nurses and doctors were very nice and compassionate during my stay. By day three, I could walk 30 steps with my walker. They also showed me how to go up and down stairs using just a cane. Day three they released me to go home. I had a choice to go to a rehab center or go home. I was lucky to have my daughter come to help my husband and me the first week home. So I choose to go home. I was able to have in home services. The nurses came twice a week to check on me. And physical theraphy came two times a week. My recovery went very good. By two weeks I could walk with just my cane. By three weeks I could walk around my house on my own and was able to use the stairs a couple of times. Of coarse there has been some pain, but nothing like the pain I was having before the surgery. I have had some really good days and some bad. The bad is because when I have the good days I tend to do more than I should, I need to learn how to pace myself better. I was lucky that Dr. Vance did my surgery more towards the front of my leg. The incision is from my hipbone down my theigh, more towards the front instead of going down from the buttocks. I have been told that having it done this way, that recovery can be faster and less painful. I didnt realize how much pain I was in before surgery until after the surgery, and it was gone. I am doing very well with my recovery and cant wait till I can get in my car and go shopping. I know it must be 'cabin fever'. Good luck and God Bless Dr W.
