    Mr. Hicks was prompt and punctual in arriving on the day we agreed upon. He spent a couple of hours assessing my front and back yard irrigation systems. When he finished, he told me what the issues were. We agreed that he would draw up a diagram, then return to do the work that was necessary (we did not set a future date, but agreed that he would contact me). That part of his service was excellent and I appreciated his attention to detail. Unfortunately, he has not been back in touch with me to set a date to return and perform the work we agreed needed to be done. I realize that my job is probably a small one, but that doesn't make it less important to me. I am disappointed in Mr. Hicks' follow up and follow through, because I think he knows his business and is knowledgeable about irrigation systems, and I have had difficulty even finding someone who would come to my house and perform the audit that he did.

    Excellent. The two-man team showed up right on time, performed the work and finished within the timeframe I was given. During the process, they asked for my opinion about how everything looked and asked if I was satisfied, or wanted anything different. They were professional and friendly and the trees look so much better!

    The work got off to a rocky start after I emailed a signed and dated estimate at the owner's request. I assumed he received it, but apparently it ended up in his spam mailbox. After an initial negative review reported to Angies List, the owner contacted me; and we rescheduled. Communications was much improved afterwards. The crew arrived on time and did a very good job thinning and shaping the tree. They also did a good job cleaning up the debris. I suggest that the owner confirm receipt of emailed signed estimates from future customers to avoid the miscommunication I encountered.

    It could not have gone better. I was so pleased to have a crew that knew about trees, took time to evaluate and discuss the job and didn't "top" or otherwise distort/damage as others have done in the past. They did a great job of cleaning up and hauling away. Approx cost for all three trips plus cost of nutrient apps was beyond reasonable.

    They contacted me the same day that I purchased the offer, by email. They apologized for an inconvenience and said that they're aren't providing the service anymore. They claimed they did not authorize Angie's List to run the promotion and told me to contact Angie's List for a refund. Angie's List is investigating and processing a refund now. I've found someone else to do the work.

    Affordable Tree Service
    I made an appointment for someone to give an estimate for tree trimming on 3- 23 and the estimator called to tell me he was going to be late. I was unable to wait and I told him I would call him at a later date to reschedule. I rescheduled the appointment again for him to show up on 3-28 and he was there early. We made an appointment for the service on 4-1 but I requested evidence of liability insurance and workers' comp insurance, which he said would be e mailed to me that same evening. I did not receive any e mail or evidence of insurance. On 3-29, I made 2 calls to the estimator but he did not answer nor was there a place to leave a message. I phoned the office in the morning and was told that the insurance certificates would be e mailed to me in the afternoon. I phoned the office 3 times in addition to phoning the estimator 2 times. The office worker kept saying that she never made it to the office on 3-29. I do not understand why they require all this follow up on my part to try to obtain certificate of insurance from them. After 5 phone calls, I gave up. If this is an indication of their customer service, I do not need this.

    David's Landscaping contacted me on 2/27/17. We scheduled an appointment for Tuesday, 3/14/17 between 9:00-10:00. No one showed up that day for the appointment - I called and left a message for them to call me. I didn't receive a response until Don e-mailed me at 7:15 pm on Wednesday, 3/15/17. He said he called several times and left his card on my door, but I had no missed calls and no card. He said he could come the following week - I said that would be fine, but then didn't hear back until the following Monday morning. He came out Monday afternoon - had me turn on my sprinklers, made some comments about the low water flow, asked a few questions and gave a few suggestions of how to fix it, and then said I should contact Angie's List and ask for a refund because he wasn't able to perform a sprinkler tune-up on my system. I was surprised that he never even checked my back yard (I only have 3-4 zones and the deal was for up to 8) or looked at all my sprinkler heads - didn't check for leaks or even look at the settings on my controller. He just said he couldn't do the job and I should ask for a refund. He told me Angie's List would probably call him for approval, but he said that would be fine. Customer Service has offered to give me credit for another deal or find a similar provider, but there aren't any other deals I'm interested in. I just want my refund please.

    I had a full-grown Crepe Myrtle tree in my front yard that needed to be trimmed. They contacted me right after I made the purchase for the work and scheduled the trimming to be done. I also had them remove the fallen leaves on my roof and had a second small tree trimmed as well. The work required another hour to accomplish and I decided to have all the debris taken away. Because of that, I needed to pay a bit more for the extra work time and debris removal. They worked very hard and did an excellent job. I highly recommend Sunshine Tree & Landscape Service and will keep their business card in my files for possible future work.

    I originally talked to him and we had the date scheduled. We had to have it rescheduled after the original date. He has a message on his voicemail that says he will return your call in 24-48 hours and I called him twice in the course of 2 weeks and he never returned my call.

    Many mistakes in pruning the shrubs, not checking sprinklers per agreement, leaving security gate to backyard unlocked. Overspraying roses with poison and killing some of them. They didn't replace the dead roses as promised. Lack of attention to detail. When items were brought to the attention of the supervisor, we were just given arrogant, I know it all responses. Their prices were very high compared to the lack of quality of work. They finally emailed me and quit instead of trying to improve their work. I would not reccomend.
