I was given all the information I needed to decide which choices were best for me and the price was reasonable compared to others I had researched. The installation went smoothly and I am very pleased with the result. I also asked them to replace the springs to the door, and after a day, one set began to twist and clank. The came out immediately, made the necessary adjustments and everything is working fine. They stand by their work and are prompt with their service.

  The garage company first made mistake on my address and then had to send another garage guy to come. The garage guy told me to change my motor and doors after I told him that remote control can't open the doors. He told me that things are not fixable and quoted me over $3000 to change everything. A few days later, I had another garage company to check and they fixed things very quickly for $70. This made me feel quite upset that I totally wasted $40 with Angieslist.

  MONROVIA GARAGE DOORS

  Had several estimates and Greg of Monrovia Garage doors was the only one who measured accurately for the new door.  He found that one side of the concrete entrance tapered down almost an inch from the other side.  None of the others noticed and were two busy trying to sell upgrades.
  
  On installation day the installer showed up on time, was clean, courteous and professional.  I asked him if he was alone and said yes.
  
  He stated it was an easy job and would be done in a few hours.  This guy definitely knew what he was doing.  He removed the original door by backing his truck under it, disconnecting it and lowering it on to the rack above his truck. He then installed the rails and sectional door, rollers and opener.
  
  He then showed my wife and me how to operate it and how the sensors worked. The price was as the estimate stated.  He cleaned up after the job.  Can't say this very often, but we were happy with every aspect of the experience.
  
  Total for door, installation, chaindrive opener, two car remotes, one inside control panel and one outside rolling security wireless keypad was $1260.00.

  Excellent. My garage door springs broke last night, so I left a phone message & sent them an email around 9:00 p.m.
  

  • - They responded via email by 6:00 a.m. the next morning, and called at 7:00.
  • - Made an appointment for 10 - 12.
  • - Technician called 30 minutes ahead of time to confirm the appointment and say he was on his way.
  • - He finished ahead of schedule.

  
  The door works like new again.
  My only issue, and it is very minor, is I would have expected them to have some kind of jack or lever so the technician could lift a broken garage door without assistance. Had I not been physically able to help, I don't know how he would have lifted the door by himself.

  It went fine. I didn't spend anything extra and they came around November. The rollers were squeaking very bad and making a lot of noise. The garage floor was also cracked because there are trees lifting it. He told me when I had the floors replaced them I should call him back and he would do an adjustment to the door for the new floor height. Everything went fine. He was on time and he left the area clean.

  It went alright. The garage was fixed properly, although the company does not stock any springs themselves. And after installing the springs, he told us it would cost $250. We were not told the price ahead of time, but I figured it couldn't be that much for labor since I already bought the part. We got it down to $200, when I argued that it cost us less for our section rolled door to be repaired after he said that is a more complex repair than this particular old wooden single garage door, then he would only accept cash. I only had $180, and was ready to go to the ATM to get the other $20. He said not to bother, as he would like to maintain us as customers. I'm sure I was visibly irritated at that point, but I appreciate his attempt to resolve the matter.

  Dandy Door

  I had a hinge break on a single piece wood 2-car condominium garage door while installing a new opener. The HOA Property Manager recommended Dandy Door, and I called them at approximately 1:00 PM on 10/22/2013 and left a voice-mail message .
  The call was returned at 5:20 PM and I was offered a choice of several time slots the next day when they could inspect the door. I
  took the 8-10 AM choice, and Phillip (owner) arrived at 9:35 AM. He inspected the door, said both hinges needed to be replaced, and quoted $340.00 for the job. I agreed, and he said he could finish the job the same day if he could obtain the parts, otherwise it would be the next day. He left to see if he could get the parts. He returned at 12:30 with the parts and finished the job at 2:45 PM. I asked him to finish the door opener installation (adjustments), which he graciously did for no extra charge.
  Phillip stated he had 25 years experience repairing and installing garage doors, which was evident in the skill and professionalism he exhibited on my job. In addition to his job skills, he was also very friendly and easy to work with. I was very pleased with his work, and highly recommend him.
