Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Arbuckle

    Value Max Garage Door Repair
Contacted Value Max Garage Doors Tim the Dispatcher said someone would be out between 10a-12p. The phone then disconnected. I left my home to head to the property which was 45 min away. I called back as we were driving to the property but it took quite some time to reach Tim the dispatcher again. He then changed the arrival time to 5p-6p with a 30 minute courtesy call prior to arrival. At 1805hr I called dispatch to see if they were still coming but it wasn't until 1901hrs that I actually talked to someone. Troy the Technician showed up after 1930 hrs. He stated I had been on and off the schedule all day. I explained to him I needed a bracket tightened, remotes programmed, and a reason why the garage door would not close all the way. He did not tighten the bracket but put new wheels on at $139, an actual cost is $40, he said he couldn't adjust the remotes because they didn't belong to the opener but I could buy 2 at $89 a piece. He then took the motor apart on the opener, he threw the parts on the ground, was pounding on the motor with a screw driver, and while trying to adjust the door the moving bracket kept hitting the motor causing damage to the unit. The cost for that was $159. After an hour of him pounding on the unit, cussing most of the time, he said the door was repaired.  He then went to get in his truck and I told him the door was not repaired and he needed to come back and repair it but he just sped off. I called his phone and the main dispatch phone but nobody would answer. It was 2045hrs and the home is in a remote area. This left me to try to figure out how to get the door down. In the morning I contacted Tim at dispatch and told him what happened..he stated that what I was telling him could not have happened because they didn't charge me enough. I asked to speak to the Manager or the Owner but he said nobody ever gets to speak to them. He said I could speak to someone by the name of Ed. In the meantime I called another garage door company that normally doesn't travel that far North. They heard what had happened and they gladly came out. Video recorded the repair. As I suspected I did not need the wheels, just the bracket tightened, they programmed the remotes, and replaced a gear in the motor all for $100 which also included a traveling fee. On 2/21/14 I spoke to Ed at Value Max Garage Doors in Folsom Ca, he immediately started screaming and cussing at me that none of these events could have happened. When I explained to him that the repair had been done by another company and was video tape he became enraged screaming, cussing and demanding the tape. I became so frightened by him and felt as though he may retaliate. I then went on to Yelp reviews and soon realized this is the way this company operates. Value Max Garage Doors also pays Yelp to remove their bad reviews.

    Value Max Garage Doors
2/16/14 Called 7076564357 8665759050707 spoke to Tim was 10-12a window with 30 min call prior to Tech arriving
transactions)got disconnected during call. apprx 0830 went to property 45min away due to time frame given, called back Tim said he didn't have caller id so he couldn't call back, changed time to 5-6p window no courtesy call to say running late tried to call 3 times 656-4357 phone was disconnected no longer in service finally located 866-575-9050 6p stated tech Troy would be calling in 15 min to arrive no call called back at 1843, 1846, 1853 no answer. tech Troy 916-873-3667 called 1904p would be there in 30 min but he did not know where he was at the time. needed remotes programmed Troy said the remotes did not belong to the opener but could sell me one for $89, needed bracket  tightened 1 wheel kept coming off track Tech Troy replaced all wheels instead of tightening bracket $139.  needed to have door repaired due to door closing and coming back up.   tech said it needed to be adjusted and motor tuned up cost $159 tech threw parts onto ground pounding motor with screwdriver to get parts to go back in while adjusting bracket on chain part kept hitting the actual opener damaging the actual opener. after apprx 1 hr he said it was fixed when I went to close the door it was doing the same thing that I had called them to repair. Immediately tried to get techs attention,  he drove off,I called number that he had called me from no answer no voice mail at his number or dispatch.  2/17/14 spoke with dispatch at 0727 explained issue he stated what I was telling him about the repairs were not documented and his tech Troy had been up since 5a and was tired. asked to speak to a manger said the customers never speak to the owner or manger I could speak to someone named Ed on 2/18/14.  This company monitors their calls so I could not get through until 2/21/14 spoke to ED but actually sounded like Tim  the guy from dispatch.  Ed refused to allow me to discuss the issues, said they would send someone out for an additional charge, informed him I had contacted another well known garage repair company that normally does not travel north and when they heard what Troy had done, the amount he charged they came out recorded/video the repair, they tightened the bracket, examined the old wheels, said they did not need to be replaced, replaced a gear in the motor, programmed the remotes, and the garage works perfectly. Ed began threatening, screaming, and cussing at me. quite frightening.  told me I had to give him the video. He refused to reimburse the payment. Owner Brian Martin has a wife, children, parents and family, I'm sure he would not like his family treated this way but according to all the Yelp reviews(a lot which the company has paid to have them removed lately)Brian seems to turn a blind eye to these behaviors and obviously must instruct his employees to conduct fraudulent and hostile business transactions. This company is very hostile, unprofessional and shady. They seem to think they can yell, disrespect, scam women and the elderly..and just scam people in general!!!horrible company!!!!! This business needs to be investigated. Forwarded to Better Business Bureau of California.. they already are not BBB accredited due to all the complaints and failure on the Company's part to comply. They have been referring everyone to the Attorney Generals Office and the media..
