    My Maytag washing machine was under warranty, and this company has a contract with them. Let me first say, I do not write reviews, no matter how negative the experience is. I am doing so to save people the many frustrations I experienced with this unprofessional company. Do not use them. Ask Maytag to find another company. It took three technicians to try to fix the problem, and it was never fixed. The first technician was gruff and surly, and broke the washing basket while trying to replace, making a loud cracking sound. He also forgot a part on another visit, forcing me to reschedule. It put my washing out of commission for more a week, forcing me to go to a laundrrmat. This guy then ordered the wrong sized basket. Another guy hooked up the hoses wrong, so when I wanted cold water, I got hot water. It was a comedy of errors. The support staff was also unprofessional and refused to compensate me for the cost of going to a laundrymat. I would say this company made 10-12 appointments with me. I thought the problem was fixed, but it resurfaced several months later. I had Maytag contact Lake Appliances in Sacramento, and they were much more professional and competent. In short, do not use this company. Two of their technicians are incompetent.

    We discovered our refrigerator was warm on Labor Day morning, we called Jeff, he rewponed within an hour, we explained
    the situation and his concern is our food will go bad, thats why he came on Labor Day. He removed anad replaced the coil which was causing the problem, and cleaned up after he was done. We are very pleased with his service.

    Contra Costa Appliance Service
    The dishwasher was several years old. I asked the service guy if it was something I did wrong and he told me it was a top line thing and it seemed to happen. I didn't get an extended warranty. I just called somebody and had him come out and fix it. I called Contra Costa. The guy was out in a couple of hours. He fixed it in half an hour. He had to replace the motor. It wasn't cheap but it was well done and it was done right. It wasn't cheap because it was the motor. It was a couple of hundred dollars at least. He troubleshot it and then determined that it was a bad motor. He told me he had one in his truck. He came back in and put it in and tested it to make sure everything worked right. I don't think it was like a switch that needed to be flipped and he charged me for a motor. The motor really wasn't working. You don't mind paying people to have work done if they do it right. I will call him again if I needed to have something fixed. I always compare it to those extended service warranties. I don't buy those because you end up waiting for 2 weeks for the guy to show up and then he has to call Paris to get the part or something. The guy from Contra Costa came in. It was probably about as much as I would have spent on an extended warranty to repair that part but it was done in an afternoon. It was done in a couple of hours so I thought the price was reasonable. They were there that same day. The guy came in and asked for dish soap and he squirted a big thing of dish soap in the dishwasher to make it bubble up and then asked for olive oil and he shoved in half a bottle of olive oil. You would think he would carry his own, but it worked for him.

    The work performed by the technician alleviated our problem of the clothes not drying. The cleaning of the lint out of the duct allows the dryer to work much better and greatly shortened the drying time. It was a well-spent $90.

    OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT. OUR APPOINTMENT WAS SET FOR BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8-12 AND RICK FROM AMERICAN APPLIANCE CAME AT 10 AM. HE WAS FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE AND KNEW WHAT TO DO RIGHT AWAY AND HE DID IT IN A TIMELY MANNER.

    THE EXPERIENCE WITH WHIRLPOOL WAS QUITE PLEASANT. THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY HELPFUL AND POLITE. HE DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS HE NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR. SO HE RETURNED 1 WEEK LATER AND FIX THE PROBLEM.

    THIS COMPANY WAS ABLE TO COME OUT ON SHORT NOTICE. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND DID A GOOD JOB. THE PRICE WAS GREAT. THEY WERE NEAT AND CLEAN. THEY SHOWED US WAYS TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF THE DRYER BY DOING SIMPLE THINGS. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL.
