Bathtub Refinishing reviews in Anaheim

It was not a standard pink, but Terry got the pink blended and it matched perfectly. Since I was getting 2 colors, the job had to be done in 2 separate dates. 3 days of drying is needed for the glazing to set properly. The pink glaze was done first and the bathtub and sink was done 3 days later. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They were very neat, and very professional. I am very happy with the finished product. The tiles and bathtub & sink sparkle so bright and pretty it's like having a brand new bathroom. I only have one thing to mention on the anti-slip put in the tub. If you take a lot of baths, this finish is kind of rough on the behind. I also had a couple of boo-boos that happened when putting the fixtures back in the bathtub and my wooden blinds suddenly fell on the sink counter leaving a deep gash. I called Terry and he said these kind of things happen and he was out the next day to repair these nicks. It's been 2 weeks now and everything has been used and it only takes a soft cloth to wipe down the tub and tiles and the perfect luster is bright and shiny again. I am a very happy customer !!!

I spoke to Terry on the phone and gave precise information about the job and the tub and tile. He provided a quote on the phone after asking confirming questions. I also asked about different finishes or colors and Terry gave me great advice and information. We made an appointment for 8am on 8/4/2017. Landen arrived at precisely 8am on 8/4/2017. He was professional and personable. I showed him to the bathroom and provided the replacement plumbing fixtures as well. He told me it would take approx. 3-4 hours. I left him to his work. In approx. 3.5 hours he was done. He first let me know the faucet fixture would not come off as the screw had corroded. It would require a plumber to remove professionally. I understood completely. He then asked me to please inspect everything. It looked amazing. A great finish. He had also covered the rest of the bathroom very well to protect from overspray. He then cleaned up and gave me my instructions for dry time and how to maintain the surface. The old tile was dark and grout was moldy. It would have been a huge job to re-tile and get the mold out. This was a great solution! I was very impressed! Great company to work with, excellent work.

    CALbath Renovations
The estimator arrived on-time and went through all the details. My bathtub is one piece fiberglass which is 27 years old. He assured me that they can fix the small hair line crack on the bottom and make it look better than new.
The guy who was doing the job arrived on-time. We have to leave the house because the smell would be strong. He called when he was done. We timed to stay out for another 4 hours. The smell downstairs was not too bad by then. We opened all the windows and doors. The smell was completely gone in one hour. The tub took another 2 days to be completely dry. It does look better than new. We did not pay extra for them to come back to take down all the masking tapes and plastics. My husband did it easily. We are very happy with the job.

    CALbath Renovations
When CalBath called to set up appointment, they said there had been some confusion with the Angie's List ad. There would be another $265 required to complete the work as shown in the picture. I would rather find another company.

I met with Terry the company owner to show the bath tub at the premise twice, the first time to get the estimate and the second time to pay for the service.  He was very professional, explained the process, and gave written instructions on how to care for the new coat. I did not get to interact with the workers however because of my work schedule,  but the finished job looked very good.  They carefully covered the non coated surface all around with plastic, and advised my handyman not to sand the wood floor or do anything to create dust until the bath tub got all dry.
The tub now looks very nice.  The only thing I did not expect was the workers  only removed the hardware to re-coat, they did not reconnect faucet and shower pipes as I assumed they would after the job was done.  My handyman took care of that, so no problem!

    Horizon Construction & Remodeling Inc
Mark came over to give us a quote, saw the layout of our bathroom and said he was doing the exact same bathroom in another home in our neighborhood with the same layout and floor plan.  He then called the home owner and asked if we could take a look at their bathroom.  We went over and it was the same bathroom, only almost completely renovated.  The attention to detail was apparent and my husband and I were already convinced Horizon would do a great job with our bathroom.  The homeowners really liked Mark as well so that was a plus and mentioned to us that his staff was really nice as well.

    Miracle Solutions
They were very honest. They followed thorough exactly as they said they were going to do, and they were concerned about the cost. The workers they sent out for the job were just okay workers, and it was average work. The workmanship was good enough, but they had to come back and redo a portion of it, and they did exactly that. There were no issues or any problems, and they just came out right away to do that. The problem was that it wasn’t done correctly the first time, and it was still done just at an acceptable level the second time. Everything but the workmanship was very good, and the workmanship itself was mediocre. The price was very competitive. I would use them again because they were at least very honest and straightforward and I know they could do the work better, so I would check them out carefully if I used them.

Just moved into a neglected 1955 ranch home. Tub was peeling and I called Terry to refinish it. He gave me an estimate of $400. Within a few minutes of arrival, he told me the tub was deformed and we would continue to have draining problems even after refinishing. He said other than that, the tub was in good shape and could be used but recommended we squeegee it out after use to keep water from collecting in the bottom. He also diagnosed that the previous refinishing job as, uh, less than quality. He stripped off the old coating and cleaned it thoroughly. We will replace the tub soon as part of our ongoing restoration of the house. In the meantime, Terry saved us a few hundred bucks. It was still more than we wanted to spend but the tub looks great for the short term. Thanks for your realistic assessment, honesty and good craftsmanship, Terry!

    All American Coatings
I called All American Coatings after seeing the company listed on Angie's List, and spoke with the owner, Terry.  I told him that we wanted to have 2 shower/tubs refinished, and that one of the tubs had been refinished before (about 9 or 10 years ago) and that it also had a couple of cracks.  He said that he could probably repair those but would have to see it first.  He gave me a quote over the phone of $450 for refinishing each of the 2 shower/tubs and $25 for the non-slip surfaces, and any fiberglass repair would be additional.  He came out as scheduled, right on time, and went to work.  One tub was in such rough shape, that he had to spend over 3 hours sanding it down, and then additional time on the fiberglass repair of the cracks, before applying the coating.  That on took up most of the day, so we rescheduled the other tub for a few days later.  He also said that when he came back he could replace the tub hardware at that time.  Terry came back as scheduled, replaced the hardware on the first tub, refinished the other tub, and gave me instructions on installing the hardware.  The cost was as quoted, plus $75 for the fiberglass repair, which I agreed to.  The tubs look better than when they were new.  Terry knows his business and is very professional.  I will be calling them again in a few months to do our 3rd bathtub.  I would highly recommend All American Coatings to anyone.

Called Horizon and another company both I got off of the list. Mark came out with in a couple of days and did an estimate. I could of save a week if I would have just gone with Mark that day. I waited for another company but was very disappointed with having to chase them for time and estimate. I finally got tired of chasing the other guy for a bid  and Horizon had made a couple of courtesy calls so I gave them the business. I am really glad the other guys were flakes. I signed and agreed to work scope very detailed on Thursday They showed up on Monday and by the second Friday we were using our beautiful new bathroom. They were fantastic and the work is excellent.
