    Always Best Care
They were very good. They were accessible. We had to switch out a care giver at one point and it was taken care of in a professional manner. They had a more reasonable cost than other agencies in the area. If I had billing questions, they would clarify everything for me.

An RN came out. I really liked her. Her name was Patty McKellar. She was very friendly and spent a lot of time with us. Because of her, my father died painfully and quickly.

    Hospice of The Valley
A team came to evaluate my father, talk to the family and determine what was most important to us. Within hours they had handled his pain, had a hospitable bed delivered, and answered our many questions. They listened to each and every member of the family and showed such compassion and sensitivity to us as we dealt with the shock and pain of the diagnosis. Throughout the following week they were there for us 24 hours a day. A nurse came to check on him daily, a home health aide came to bath him and when he passed away the nurse arrived in the middle of the night and made all the arrangements for us. Afterward they were in constant contact with offers of grief counseling, etc. checking up on the whole family to make sure we were ok. Losing someone you love is not easy, but they helped by making the process comforting, dignified and compassionate. I can't say enough about this service.

    Irish Help at Home
Irish Help at Home requires two weeks fees paid up front, about $7000 and requires clients not to contract with "their"caregivers without them for a year after services commences. After my father died, the balance of the deposit was returned promptly by check. When my father was brought home and installed in a hospital bed, Alexandro Lisboa cared for him. Alex was extremely sweet, but was less effective at coaxing my father to eat, sit up, and cooperate in his care than the woman who replaced him (for his weekend). We probably should have asked for a female from the beginning, given my father's generation. The night care provider was the merry and kind Maria Galo. Very experienced, she worked hard through several rough nights. She was very comforting and encouraging to my mother. She even did some shopping for us on two occasions. She knew what supplies would work best and was able to get them more quickly than we could have. The second day care provider Ann Clark told us she had been doing this sort of care "for a hundred years."She reminded me of an experienced first grade teacher. Trained in hospice work, Ann helped my mother to spend time talking to my father, helping detect responsive gleams in his eyes after he stopped talking. When my father stopped breathing at about 4:10 in the morning Maria immediately came to get me, knowing I was awake because I had checked in shortly before. She called the proper medical and civil authorities and waited with us as he was officially pronounced dead and his body taken by the funeral service. My father really wanted to come home and Irish Help at Home helped us do so. We really did not know what to expect or how to care for him. My mother says to give them an A+.

    Kaiser Oakland Medical Center
I was on blood thinner. They were at my house on time. They did what they were suppose to do. They were friendly and competent. They brought me a list of all the medication I took that I could keep on file. They printed it out for me which made it really convenient for me. They were keeping very close tabs on me. The home care was better then I expected.

    Hospice By The Bay Foundation
They did a really good job. They did everything for my brother. They do services for the county of San Francisco. They got every thing out there really quickly and all of the supplies that he needed. They were there before we even got home with him. They were available right away. They were there when my brother needed them. He passed away really quickly. He was home for three days and he was gone. Their bedside manner was really good. They were good at communicating to the board and care, and they communicated to me. They took care of the billing so I never received a bill. I would definitely use them again.

    Alere Inc
They came to me at the hospital and they set me up. They are very good and they cleaned every day to make sure I was okay. I was on a pump that was connected to my stomach, and they helped me with the right amount of dosage. They made sure they checked my weight and called me every day, so that was really helpful. They had excellent service and were always available. They didn’t have an office and they sent a nurse over once in a while to make sure I was okay, and she had excellent bedside manners. They did a very good job; they were excellent and were punctual.  I would use them again in the future.

They were excellent.  They are good people and provide good care with empathy.  They are very much concerned about patients.  I would absolutely visit them again in the future if needed.

    Hospice of The Valley
I have been very happy with the service. Paul, our case manager, responds quickly to email. The social workers, nurse, and nursing assistant that visit my mom on a weekly basis have all been incredibly supportive and friendly. My mom, who can be and quot;challengingand quot; to care for has been effusive in her praise for everyone from Hospice of the Valley that she has interacted with.
