  • I scheduled outpatient surgery at a local outpatient surgical center and Dr. Battaglia did a great job of removing the lump and leaving next to no scar on my jaw. He described the surgical process beforehand and made me feel reassured that it would go well. I highly recommend him.

  • Reception Desk rude upon arrival - will not respond to you if incorrect clerk.

Arrived for 2:00 pm appointment, sat in waiting room until 3 pm

Then, 1/2 hour spent in exam room while staff argued about not having labs ordered.
I said I had labs done, should be in office. 1st assistant said they were not.
She left and returned with labs in hand.

2nd assistant and 3rd assistant came in saying office did not have labs.

At 3:30 pm. I had to cancel 4 pm appointment elsewhere.
    3rd assistant said: and quot;you should know we run late here.and quot;

1 1/2 hour late and no visit with MD.
Office has practice of running late.

Office unhappy for my rejection of double-billing for EKG when Cardiology Consult scheduled next week for stress echo requested by Dr. Kanegae

Time to get another internist whose office knows what they are doing and respects patients' time and other commitments.

  • I was amazed at how much old debris was in my ears. It totally blew my mind. Now I want to go on a regular basis so my ears stay clean and healthy. Forgot about gadgets you may see on T.V. or ear cleaning the old-fashioned way with water solutions. Ear Honing is the only way to go. Jasmine gets a Super A rating from me every time I see her.

  • Dr. Mitchell Becker had very poor presentation at my visit. He never even examined me and sat like 12 feet away from me during the whole visit and spoke to me from his seat while I sat in my corner. Everything he said sounded right but after I left I could tell there wasn't really any depth to if. After taking samples for a test, I had to call the office to get the results and then when I wanted to ask the doctor his opinion on the results, he never even called me back. He was very, very expensive, he was $1200.00 for the one visit. He had a very nice office but I was the only patient there for the whole time I was there. H

  • Dr. Anvekar is a super physician, I have never had a better doctor.   She is extremely knowledgeable and through.  My experience was stellar.  I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a very well rounded approach to health care.  It is important to note that she does charge a concierge fee on a yearly or monthly basis.  If you can afford it she is well worth it.

  •  But until March 20, 2012 I have never heard back from them. So I called the office asking the receptionist what was going on. She said she would look for my file and call me back. However, after 6 hours she did not call me back. So I called her again she finally told me that On the report it said abnormal but she did not know what it is, so you need to come back to the office. Then I asked her why the doctor could not simply give me an answer about his diagnosis, she said that was their policy that the doctor does not talk to patient over the phone. Instead all patients have to go back to the office to learn that.
I told her it is ridiculous because I have already paid my doctors visit fee and lab test fee, I deserve to know the answer from the doctor. But she kept repeating that is their policy, if I want to know, I have to come to this office to pay another office visit fee. I don't really mind paying, but how would anybody feel the doctor telling you that you need to pay one more time to learn your diagnosis you have paid before and you don't even deserve to know whether this is urgent or not. This is totally unethical, I would not go back to this office and I would file further complaint against them.

  • First visit: I made an appointment to see the doctor for a general check up and blood work. The main receptionist/ office assistant was more concerned with my medical insurance rather than me as a patient. I can sincerely say that this is not a matter of me being over sensitive- they verified my medical coverage before writing my name on the waiting list (this is after they gave me this appointment). After verifying my insurance, the brought me in for a general check up. The doctor asked me what I wanted to do. I replied by stating that I haven't had a check up in quite some time and would like an overall evaluation of my condition. So I openly said: "upsell me on everything!" I was then brought into another room for an EKG. The assistant plugged me up to all the sensors and ran the test. Then he had me wait for 45 minutes after the test results before he called in the doctor. He honestly did not know what he was doing. The doctor came in and told me that there is an irregularity in my heart beat. She stated that 99% of the time, it's not big deal but I would need to see a cardiologist to be sure. I could not agree more. It would have been nice if they told me 40 minutes earlier. They scheduled my blood work for another day.

Cardiologist: I was told by Dr. Lee's assistant that their cardiologist was "the best". I was reluctant to believe and saw it as nothing more than a small referral fee in their piggy bank. But I needed to see a cardiologist anyhow, so it was no big deal. What a coincidence that "the best" cardiologist was just down the street. (I was in luck! *sarcasm*) Cardiologist was pretty nice. Helped me a timely fashion, but still had to jump through hoops of verifying insurance before they would even ask my name. No biggie, I guess I was used to it by now.

    **Back to Dr. Lee**

Second Visit: I came back on my appointment date to have blood drawn for all the tests. I was the second person to walk in and signed my name on the clipboard. I waited for about 20 minutes as other patients walked in and also checked in. Two people who walked in after me were helped. I could not take it anymore. I confronted the lady at the front desk and she said that it was her mistake. I was not very pleased to go through this as it seemed to be a recurring theme. I then had my blood drawn from a nice gentleman who knew what he was doing. Sad to say the only good experience I had in that office was from someone who does not even work at that office. I then talked to Dr. Lee for a short time and then was on my way. I was told that my blood results would be back the following week.

I called back a day after I was told the results were in. The receptionist told me that they unfortunately did not have the results back yet. I called back two days of the three following days and still no answer. On the following Saturday, I received a call from a receptionist that told me they have results but Dr. Lee would not be able to go over the results with me that day. The receptionist told me, and I quote: "everything looks fine." So I make arrangements to meet with Dr. Lee after the weekend.

Third Visit: I was fortunate not to wait for Dr. Lee this time. We sat down and went over my test results. I was somewhat surprised to get my results. I knew I was a little overweight, but found out that my triglyceride levels were in the 400s range. I'm glad that the receptionist told me everything was ok the previous week.

There are two more visits that I'd rather not get into, but needless to say, they were not very pleasant. Dr. Lee is a very sincere doctor, but her practice is seriously unorganized, unprofessional and inconsiderate. Dr. Lee has expressed her sincere apologies for all the inconveniences. I hope that he finds a better staff that is a good representation of her as a doctor and not under qualified assistants that merely speak Chinese just to help the patients of Alhambra.

  • From start to finish, I feel this doctor cares. She takes what you say and your worries and put you at ease 1st. Then she tackle on your problems and try to make them feasible. Out of all the doctors that just prescribe you something and then leave, this doctor is definitely something else. She does take her time with you. So when you leave, it seems like a heavy burden have been lifted from your health problems.

  • I made the appointment a couple weeks ahead of time. I called the day before to see if I should show up early to fill out paperwork since I would have been a new patient. The receptionist said maybe just 5-10 minutes but there shouldn't be a need to get there that early. I arrived about 5 minutes before my appointment. There were at least a half dozen people waiting in the tiny, 'stuffy', unpleasant waiting room. I signed in on the clipboard as the entire front office staff seemed busy answering phones and helping others standing at the counter. I waited for 15 min and asked if I should fill out paperwork since I am a new patient. She said "I'll call you when it's your turn" Okay, so I sat down. I waited another 5 min...noticing no other patients were being called in to be seen. I walked up to the counter and asked it it would be much longer since my appointment time had come and gone. The receptionist abruptly said "we're running behind, everyone is being seen late, the doctor got here an hour late!" (Great, I wish she had told me that when I first got there so I could have left immediately--) Then the acutal doctor, Dr. Wu (she was standing in the background) piped in, saying "it's gonna be about an hour"!!! And no one was polite or pleasant. They all woke up on the wrong side of the bed obviously! So I pointed out my name on the clipboard and said they could cross it off, I'd be leaving. And the icing on the cake is....the receptionist crossed off my name and said "Bye, bye (my first name).." in a condescending rude tone. Thank goodness I never got in passed the waiting room. It was a sign! Meant to be...

  • Dr. Wu was referred to me about 5 years ago, by my sister and her sister in laws. She had delivered approximately 11 kids for the 5 of them combined. When we believed we were expecting her office made space on their schedule and saw us the next day. She confirmed through ultra sound our pregnancy but due to the promptness in us realizing we were expecting, it was too early to see more than a tiny speck. She scheduled us for a visit two weeks post and there we collected our first baby picture. After that it was monthly visits for the next twenty weeks, followed by bi weekly up till the last month At that time she wants to see you weekly. She walked us through all the information that gets thrown at you. Helped us decide which tests we should choose, using her own children as examples. We experienced no insurance issues with any of the services, because her staff is well qualified and knows how to properly code forms. She explained to us what to expect between each appointment, reassured us when some unexpected spotting occurred, and made certain we had all the prenatal tools to have a successful pregnancy. She made certain we pre-registered at the hospital to avoid delays on check in day, explained when and why we should go to the hospital and what to expect once there. Upon d-day she was in constant contact with the nurses in delivery, her bedside manner was comforting and easy going, while not lacking professionalism. Her check ups while in recovery the following days were nothing less than we had been accustomed to. We have recommended her to many people. Her demeanor is quite pleasant, her knowledge is vast, her staff rivals her best qualities and aside from a busy wait room, she is popular, there is nothing to speak negative about.
