  • I like her quick response to our needs, her professional, her courtesy and her professional staff who are very caring and supportive. Also, I like the time she spends educating you on the needs of your pet. I'd recommend her for her knowledge in animal care and her very caring response to the needs of not just the pets but their owners. She was wonderful and she gives you options in terms of interventions to pay, it's not just one cut and dry price. She seems to be well trained and always hits it right on in terms of what the needs of the animal are. She also goes out of her way to accommodate if it's a priority. She has very short wait-times and her staff are very accommodating so you never have to wait long with a scheduled appointment. She's got a very clean, modern office and the latest techniques.

  • We were seen promptly, thorough physical exam, I left the dog for the day so that they could get a urine specimen, I later called back and talked to Dr. Beers about the results, and picked him up late in the day after work. At that time I had to wait about 10 or 15 minutes because they were busy.

  • My pets have had all their routine care at VCA, neutering, treatment for illnesses and excellent dental care from Dr. Beers. I have every confidence in the vets here--a lot more confidence in them than I have in most of the doctors I've seen at Kaiser! The VCA vets take time to listen, review a pet's complete history before and during the appointment, make very good, informed judgements about treatment, and follow up with you afterward.
VCA is bit on the pricey side, but the extra cost is worth it because I feel sure they are giving the best possible care.

  • The veterinarians at the VCA Albany Animal Hospital are very good with the animals. They are very nice and they go out of their way to help a lot. They do whatever needs to be done since they are really great. Everything has been very good. It’s very difficult to go to a vet for emergency stuff but they are very good at fitting you in. They have a number of veterinarians available and in fact, we have even worked with multiple vets within an individual visit. They have all been really good. It seems that it’s pretty obvious that the people who are working love animals. They are very gentle with the animals and have a sense of humor which always helps. We really like working with them. They are a little pricey but they provide good service. It’s never cheap anymore with vets but the price is fine and it is what it is. I couldn’t make comparisons about their pricing. The quality of their service and responsiveness are excellent. They are very good when it comes to their punctuality. They are very professional. We would definitely use their services in the future too.

  • This is a terrible veterinary clinic. They are the most expensive vets around, and will find ways to charge you for unnecessary services. We took our two cats here for a six years, mostly because we lived a few blocks away. During every visit, we were told that our cats needed their teeth cleaned. Eventually we agreed to have one cat get her teeth cleaned. When the cleaning was over, all her molars except for one had been extracted. They told us it was necessary and she was in pain, and while we were angry for not being asked in advance, we assumed they knew what they were doing. Then at our last visit, I brought in our second cat for her annual vaccines and pointed out a lump between her shoulder blades. The vet aspirated the growth, sent it to the lab, and then had me come back for the results. It turned out to be an injection-site sarcoma, which happens to cats when they get too many vaccines in the same location (like the scruff of the neck). The vet immediately began describing the heroic actions they would take to save our cat, without first asking what we wanted. When I asked how much the surgery and chemotherapy would cost, he estimated over $15,000. And then after telling me that the chances for recovery were very slim, he announced that he'd go get the vaccines we were scheduled to get that day. In response to my comment that it didn't make sense to vaccinate a dying cat, he said "I understand your point, but we should probably play it safe." In other words, they should make some kind of money off the cat before she died. We now have a different vet who is kind, compassionate and who does not appear to be solely motivated by money.

  • The place is spotless and clean. The staff is very friendly and comfortable. The vet herself is just as nice as can be. There even was quite a bit of room so we didn't feel cramped. They were very friendly and attentive to my cat. They even gave us a little goody bag on the way out.

  • Got squeezed in on short notice. Everything was fine, but seemed expensive.

  • They are inside and outside cats. I don't know how to judge their price. I did have to wait a long time.
