    Haven Day Spa
Patty, my massage provider, did a fabulous job on my sore tight hamstrings. On my first run after my massage I noticed a huge difference in my stride length and overall ease of running. Never before have I had any treatment that was so effective in improving my performance and overall sense of well being. Patty continues to improve her techniques through private consultations and viewing of videos from leaders in her field.

    Widenbaum, Dr. Jonathan J.
The preliminary health questionnaire was extremely long, including many pages on brain function. During the entire intake process, and throughout the several following appointments, we never discussed the results of the brain questionnaire at all.
Dr Widenbaum is professional and personable, but I always got the impression that he never once looked at my chart until he walked into the room. (so that reduced my trust factor significantly) I also did a lot of online research regarding the latest technology in blood and saliva testing for gluten sensitivity and food allergies. Dr Widenbaum seemed unaware of some of these tests.
All in all, there were several things about the overall office decor, administrative billing procedures, and general "energy" of the office that made me feel like I'd gone back in time about twenty years.
Since I am desirous of optimal health, and am willing to do just about anything possible to achieve it, I expect the same committed, cutting edge treatment from my doctors.
There was nothing significantly bad in this office, it was just not what I wanted and/or expected. I changed doctors after about three months of trying to make this office work for me.

    Body Techniques
The facial was my first stop and it was amazing.  I was treated magnificently, including a foot massage, and ended that part of the appointment with clean, refreshed skin and a relaxed body. The next appointment was a 60 minute massage with Nick.  He was great about finding and sticking with the right level of pressure, finding the tight spots and working through them efficiently and effectively.  I never find 60 minutes to be long enough and this was no exception so I will go back to Nick.Last but not least was the acupuncture appointment.  I had never done accupuncture before and Hamid was great about finding out about me, what he could help me with and discussing my options - there are's not one size fits all.  He was gentle, clear about what to expect, and knew his stuff.  It was an interesting treatment and I would consider getting it again. All in all, this is one place I've been before for massage and now will definitely return for more services.

    Nieters, Dr. John
Dr. Nieters pays attention to the whole person, so when I developed a trigger thumb it was well within his scope of competence to treat. The AMA was suggesting surgery as the only way to address the problem. One acupuncture treatment and I was able to resume my bad habits at the keyboard with minimal pain.

    Nieters, Dr. John
He helps a lot. The thing that I am most impressed with is that he takes a holistic view of all medicine, even western medicine. He encourages people to explore all options for healing. He's pretty great. I like him a lot.

    Heller, Dr. Steven
It was a normal appointment. At this time in my relationship with Dr. Heller I am not having any huge pain or regular need for a chiropractor. Every once in a while I feel the need for a tune up and he shoves things back into place.

    Primary Pediatric Medical Grp
Since I was on the late end of choosing pediatrician (most people choose these things earlier i hear) I was excited to meet the nurses and doctors all at one time to check them out. Some of the physicians talked about their children, describing what it was like for them as first time parents. They even have a Nurse who specializes in Brest Feeding and all the lovey challenges that are associated with that.(Georganne Walker, PNP) Through out the hour long question and answer meeting I felt impressed and comfortable. Immediately I chose this office in Alameda because of the close proximity to my home but, I can say that if it wasn't for their genuine hospitality and openness I would have been still searching.

    Nieters, Dr. John
I spent $100 on my last visit. One treatment and the trigonum were supposed to have surgery for was cured and that was nice. I have sealant hives that the AMA could not do anything about to bring it under control is now cured. He fixes problems after the AMA gives up.
