    Raffi Ara Chalian
I find Dr. Chalian to be a compassionate, caring, attentive, and very proactive doctor, ie, he has a great sense of urgency about my medical condition. From the time I made an appointment with him, I was able to see him in 2 days. When he was unable to get a sample of my mass(as 2 other doctors weren’t able to either), he immediately scheduled outpatient surgery at Glendale Adventist Hospital(btw, the staff there were great – they answered my questions and were very kind and professional) in 1 week. 3 days later, Dr. Chalian called me with the report that my mass was an aggressive form of uterine sarcoma(cancer). The next day, I had CAT scans done, and in 3 days he met with me to go over the results and his recommended treatment of surgery ASAP(he actually set up a tentative surgery date). I had about 24 questions to ask him about the type of cancer I had, as well as about the treatment he recommended for me. He answered all my questions to the best of his ability and with straightforward honesty. He always asks me if I had any more questions, and he always reassures me that I will be well taken care of. Dr. Chalian also supported my decision to seek a second opinion about my treatment(he wasn’t defensive about it – he had a positive attitude). I sensed that he was more interested in getting me healed, rather than it was all about him. His office assistant Violet was very helpful in getting my medical records from my primary physician(had a problem there), as well as resolved my health insurance denial of service for part of my CAT scan. In summary, I’m very happy and fortunate that I went to see Dr. Chalian, especially when I had a very difficult time finding an ob-gyn oncologist who could see me within a week’s time(usually when I called such a specialist like him, I would be given an appointment one or two months from when I called). His work address is: 1505 Wilson Terrace #150, Glendale, CA 91206

    Dr. Ben-Yehuda
Dr. Ben Yehuda is the absolute best doctor there is. Both my husband and I work in the medical field, so we had a discerning eye for what we liked, and wanted, in the doctor/office that would provide our prenatal care and delivery. I visited a few other doctors early in my pregnancy, but Dr. Ben-Yehuda was above-all, the best. He is extremely detailed, and informative. I learned, and understood, so much more about my pregnancy. He explains everything, and thoroughly. He has a beautiful office that feels clean, and in order. The appointments are scheduled just right; there was never a wait. I felt I was the only patient there, every time. I also loved the efficiency of the office, with everything done in-office; blood tests, glucose test, and ultrasounds. I never had to go to a second appointment at another location, for any part of my prenatal care. Dr. Ben-Yehuda always called me with test results, very promptly, sometimes even the next day. He’s also available by email, and so are the office staff, Lidia and Genesis. He and his wife hosted a one-time, first-time parents class that I found to be extremely valuable and comprehensive of everything one needs to know! Saved us so much time and money to not have to take any additional courses, elsewhere. I also ran into quite a bit of insurance trouble the last month of my pregnancy, but Dr. Ben Yehuda has an insurance specialist on staff, who was able to create a solution for us. She was magnificent, and clever. Then finally, the delivery... Our baby took his time, going 11 days past his due date. Dr. Ben Yehuda never rushed the process, and did everything he could to heed to Mother Nature. Also, our baby was estimated to be very large, but Dr. Ben Yehuda kept a c-section birth as a last resort. Fortunately, with his help, I was able to still deliver vaginally, and heal promptly. Overall, it’s apparent that Dr. Ben-Yehuda genuinely loves his work and his patients. I am actually looking forward to my next pregnancy so that I can be under his care once again!

    Sikking, Emily
The only problem is she stopped taking insurance. She was not getting reimbursed by insurance so she had to drop them but she's the best doctor I've ever been to. Because of that I had to stop going to her. She's very personable and approachable. Any questions you have she is always available. Any problems you have she will call you directly at home and make sure you're okay. She's just very caring. She's always available, but sometimes she has to deliver babies and so she has to cancel.

    Dwight, Dr. Mark A.
He listens to me. He is great with alternative medicine and stuff like that. The availability is really good. There is some waiting time in the waiting room. Most doctors never really let us in on time; but his availability is very good. The office is little outdated.

    Hyman & Tio MDs
They are both very good doctors. They know me and my family very well. They are in my neighborhood so when I go there I feel comfortable and friendly. I had to wait only once as they had an emergency to attend.

    Yamamura, Dr. Janet M
She's excellent, and I like her. She takes a personal interest in my health. I'm over 65, so I do have some health issues. My previous gynecologist was more businesslike, and she tried to get me to take hormone pills and supplements. I have friends whose doctors recommend all sorts of treatments and medications to them. In contrast, Dr. Yamamura seems genuinely concerned with keeping me healthy. I'm on Medicare, but I don't want unnecessary tests and treatments. It's an unnecessary expense on the government. Dr. Yamamura doesn't recommend anything unless I really need it. She also explains things to me, and keeps me informed. She even calls me personally to let me know my test results. I had cancer a couple of years ago, and Dr. Yamamura called me to let me know my MRI showed something on my lungs. I then needed to go see my other doctor about my lungs. Her secretary, Peggy, is over 80 years old. I think it is very generous of Dr. Yamamura to keep her on, though Peggy is very good at what she does. She is a little slow, and very strict, but also very kind, caring, and protective of my privacy. She doesn't release my information even to doctors, without first letting me know. I will continue to go there, and would recommend them to anybody.

    Kathleen Kornafel MD,PHD
After a year of trying to conceive, I was referred to Dr. Kornafel from my primary care physician and my insurance. I was a bit apprehensive of going to Dr. Kornafel because of the online reviews of her bedside manners. However, our first experience with Dr. Kornafel was great. She got my husband and my health history. She explained the whole process of what tests need to be done to figure out what kind of infertility we had. She explained the general plan and what options we had. She was very complete and made sure we understood everything. Her staff does consist of two ladies. They are both very helpful and friendly. I never had a problem with insurance billing and they made sure my insurance claims were done correctly and on time. They also kept my primary care physician up to date with how my care was going. After going through one cycle of timed intercourse with clomid and one cycle of IUI plus clomid, we were able to conceive. After being 8 weeks pregnant, I was sad to have 'graduated' from her care. I wish I could keep seeing her until I pop this baby out. But I will definitely go back to her care to try for Number Two!
