Tooth Extraction reviews in Yuma

  • Fine. I think I have a sore gum. Dr. Rubisch and staff are very good.

Except for the time after a cleaning, I had blue goo on my face and no one told me before I left the office.

  • My Husband needed to get some very expensive work done- cap, root canal, and fillings. Before moving from McKinney, TX. we both went to a great dentist and got estimates for the work needed. I thought they were very expensive and the "needed work" wasn't as needed as advised. My husband moved before I did and I set him up with an apt at Gila Ridge. He respected everything about the estimate he was given. He ended up getting all ($2,300 including ins.) work completed, STILL respecting them and even sharing with others how great they were to him and his teeth. No games to be played here:)

  • The ladies in the office are the best. When we arrived the t.v. was on a news channel. Then they changed the channel to a kid show. They also had a kids table in the waiting room for my kids to play with. I would definitely recommend this dentist office. The whole staff is so accommodating and nice.

  • I have never felt more taken care of than with him and his staff.
I will only have Dr. Sorensen perform root canals or fix existing ones. He has fixed three so far and will perform surgery on another one soon. And that wasn't decided without all the appropriate imaging performed.
I have walked out of dentists office in a lot of pain, with cuts and bruises, (my root canals are usually pretty intense), But Dr. Sorensen was always very gentle and took the time that was needed without trying to rush it.

  • I am glad that I had insurance, cause I am sure that it was pricey. They have the nicest waiting room that I have seen in Yuma. I had to go in for an initial consultation, and then the actual root canal. Both visits went very well. I was particularly impressed with Dr. Sorensen. I was anticipating a root canal to be as miserable of an experience as it sounds (and I really, really don't like dentists). Instead, I think it went even more smoothly than a standard filling at the regular dentist (and that was while awake with no nitrous oxide "laughing gas" end- cause I am cheap). Dr. Sorensen only does root canals, so he has perfected the art. It was quicker than anticipated, and the pain afterwards was minimal- I didn't even fill the prescription he gave me for the more serious pain killers and was fine with just ibuprofen. I really hope I don't need another root canal ever again, but if I do, I know where I am going.

  • After a year of experiencing gum disease, eye and pierced ear infections, off and on, I made a dental exam appointment with Dr. Howard Sorensen who was located on the corner of Avenue A and 24th Street at the time. I suspected an eye tooth, covered with a crown, was abscessed. I have six upper front crowns and all were purchased in Mexico. Dr. Sorensen was supposed to X-Ray the eye tooth in question...and he did. He showed me what I believed to be my eye tooth on a television screen and said he didn't see a crack or infection. I told Dr. Sorensen that I got my crowns in Mexico and I believed one was put on top of a cracked tooth. Dr. Sorensen started feeling all of the crowns with the fingers of both of his hands. I felt his hands running up and down the crowns. He said he could not see anything wrong with my teeth and told me to come back when the infection showed up again. I paid the receptionist $125.00 and left.
On Jan. 9, 2010, (two days later) half of my front, left hand side, CROWN FELL OFF AND INTO MY MOUTH! Obviously, the crown had been serrated with a very sharp instrument from top to bottom. Half the crown fell into my mouth AND THE OTHER HALF STAYED TIGHTLY ON THE TOOTH. The next day I took the half crown that fell off to my dentist in Mexico. My dentist replaced the crown but was angry about what obviously happened. AT ALL COST, STAY AWAY FROM DR. HOWARD SORENSEN! Dr. Sorensen's Office disappeared shortly after this incident. He is still listed in the YumaSun Health Connection Book with only a phone number, but I don't see an address.

  • I have been going to him since 1985. I rate him very highly and I would continue to use him in the future.
