    He is excellent. I was seeing him on a quarterly basis and as I progressed and got better I started seeing him every 6 months. The first time I went to him was to get an EKG and a stress test. I was going to have a bone spur on my right heel operated on. The surgeon wanted to have it checked out. Because of the bone spur, I couldn't walk on the treadmill at a fast enough pace or a steep enough pace to the level that they needed so they put me on a nuclear stress test which is what they call a lazy man's stress test. You lie down and they inject this material into you which causes your heart to race up and stay at a steady level for a while. They have a big camera that goes around and takes pictures. That discovered 3 little white spots that Dr. Reinfeld had to determine what that was all about. They did a catheterization and went in and looked and discovered partial blockage in 3 arteries. The next day I had the triple bypass done. I continue to go to him and every so often I have to go back on the treadmill or the nuclear stress test to get re-tested. So far I have been good and clean and everybody is happy. He is listed as one of the 400 top doctors in a magazine that is published in the valley. I am going to see him this Friday.

    Surgery went well. Took as long as predicted. We were kept informed duning surgery and Dr DeValaria met with family post surgery. ICU was excellent as was all hospital care at Mayo.

    They were very efficient and they take the patients through so it wasn't a big waste of time. They have a little are where they pre-check you in and then you go into the exam room. They have a short wait for the doctor.

    He's just is the most knowledgeable, up to date cardiologist I have ever run into in my life and he also has really good people skills and you don't usually find that in a surgeon. He knows things before anyone else does. My husband was on Kumadin because he has a pace maker and he arranged for him to have a machine where he could do his blood testing for the Kumadin at home. When nobody else knew of anything about this. My mother also needed this and he helped me get here the information so she could get one through her doctor. This is an example that he is up to date on his reading. He started out as a medical doctor and went back school to become a cardiologist. I think the thing that is most impressive about him is how well educated he is but how down to earth he is. He will explain things in terms  that the average laymen can understand and that is a pretty unique situation. I think that's really important especially in that area.

    It?s been a little bit of a crazy year for us, as my dad passed away and then my mom had a massive heart attack. Dr. Hessel was wonderful. As far as the things that went on for my mom and dad this year, he is really the one that stands out to me. I believe he is in charge of the cardiac wing in the hospital. We also researched about him online and found that he has 18 years of experience. My mom is really doing great after the surgery. There is also a cardiac rehab in the hospital that she has been attending. So I couldn?t ask for a better doctor, hospital or a follow up. It was really a great experience. I wouldn?t be able to comment on the billing, as my mother took care of it. I would say that the doctor was punctual when my mom was in the ICU, but it was not the same once she was discharged from the ICU. It was an emergency situation and she was taken to the hospital which was not even near her home. We feel that we had a right place, at the right time and ended up with doctors who could help her with the best treatment. He also gave her a little bit of a follow up. They were extraordinary as they diagnosed her and they also had a cat lab right there. They were able to take her right in and do what they needed to do. They scheduled the surgery for the very next day and it was amazing. If there is a need in the future then I would definitely see him.

    I cannot say enough good about the miracle workers at the clinic. There was a one percent chance that I would survive and I survived. I would definitely use them again in the future. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

    They have several locations and several doctors. My heart doctor recommended them to me. It was quite obvious that I had a serious problem. They mapped the heart to see where the arrhythmia was and then used fine wires to cauterize it to make the arrhythmia go away. It was an outpatient procedure. It was very effective and it solved my problem. It was very simple. I was awake during the procedure and it was painless. It was very life enhancing. I was having severe problem with my breathing and heart rate. My heart rate is steady now and I don't have a problem with not having enough oxygen any more.

    My first visit to Cardiac Solutions was a disaster!  They had already cancelled and moved a previous appointment and that was a foreshadow of their lousy service.  I drove my 96 year old mother to the address that my wife had given me.  Unloaded Mom and she slowly shuffled with me up to the lobby at the center of the building, arriving on time for our 2:15pm appt.  There was no directory in the lobby, no signs and all the inside doors were locked.  It took us a few minutes to figure out that the entrance is outside and at the West end of the building (A little sign on the wall of the lobby would have been helpful). Half way around the building, I had to run ahead and get a wheel chair because Mom was running out of steam. (she is a heart patient after all)  The staff made me leave my driver's license just to borrow a wheel chair.  Add all this together and we were now about 15 minutes late.  Stood in line for 2 minutes waiting to be able to sign in. The staff then informed me that since we were over 15 minutes late for the appointment we would have to reschedule for another day.  I explained that we were in the lobby on time and were only late because of their lack of a simple sign telling us where their office entrance was.  I also pointed out how difficult it is to get my Mom out and about, as well as my missing an afternoon of work.  My protests fell on deaf ears.  They didn't care and my only option was to bring her back another day.  If the office staff is allowed by the physicians to be this callous about patients, then why should I expect patient care by the physicians to be any better?  I think there are other cardiologists in the valley who really want to help their clients rather than inconvenience them.  I will be finding another place to take Mom for her heart care.
