  • I started taking my animals to Dr. Krauss in May of 2014.  I found Dr. Krauss to be one of those doctors who push the clients to get extra services.  She ordered the most expensive pills for my dogs arthritis, without giving me a generic option, or giving me an option to get the pills elsewhere. My dog had a lot of pain,  so I paid $150.00 for the pills from her.  Upon looking for Rx through the internet, I found the exact pills for a fraction of the price, but she was reluctant to give me a prescription because the pills were for 100mg, instead of the 50mg dose for my dog, and she was worried about the dosing if I broke them in half. (It was generic rimadyl).
I returned to her a few times, just for simple check ups, and blood panels for each of my dogs.  Each time she would "recommend" something else they sold. $55.00 for a 20lb bag of dog food,  $2.50 per can wet food...., or want to do more blood test, or whatever else she could think of.
The final straw for me was when she "scolded" me for not using the food she wanted me to use, but instead purchased a different high quality food from an organics store.

  • Dr. Lani Krauss and Dr. Engie Hanna are the vets I see there. They are very caring. Actually I think their prices are a little bit lower than another vet that I did use one time when we first moved here. Their prices are reasonable. They call and check on my dog and they also give classes. A couple of weeks ago she gave a class on first aid and CPR that she held at one of the schools in the auditorium. We didn't have to pay but she asked for a $10 donation from non patients to give to the SPCA. Even though I'm a patient I usually give that to the SPCA. Every person in there is very caring. Every time they've seen her something other than just routine well care they call and check on her. I have pet insurance and they bill them with no problems. My niece came here for a visit and she had her two golden retrievers to him. She knew there was something wrong with one of them when we got up one morning so I called them and they saw him right away. They did a bunch of tests but he actually passes away that day. There sent us to the emergency clinic because they are not a emergency hospital type of thing and they didn't charge her anything. They are just very caring and they also sent her a card but they didn't send her flowers. They did some pretty extensive blood testing on him. Their pricing is good and I think it is comparable to any of the other vets.

  • Roxies' went well right from the start. As soon as Rox woke up from anesthesia she was moving around and was quite comfortable. Dr. explained everything she did. The cost was very reasonable and the staff very kind and cooperative.
My only issue with Dr. Edwards office is that it is poorly accessable for me, I'm in a wheelchair and can't make it up the ramp or up the step to get into the building proper. I have never seen the office, altho my roommate went in to check it out and said it was and quot;a vets'officeand quot;. (Not too helpful, huh?) Dr. is very accommodating in that she comes outside with staff and examines my kids in my van then takes them inside to more thoroughly check them out or do whatever they need- shots etc.. Dr Edwards and her staff are very caring. And Dr. Edwards has been a good diagnostician for my 4-leggeds.

  • Lani Krause is the best. Sarah and Chris are very much caring with the animals, get down on the floor with them. Unfortunately, had my niece visited me and her dog got out and they were willing to take him right away, got him to the right place and immediately when I called. They're wonderful. We've been going there for five years now.

  • We called to schedule a yearly appointment. The appointment was scheduled for our convenience (we live about 25 miles away so like to do multiple things on one trip). We arrived at the appointed time and after a short wait were called back to be seen by the veterinary assistant - temperature, weight, etc. We then waited for the veterinarian maybe 10 minutes. She was very attentive to the cats and answered our questions, making various suggestions (food, allergy meds, etc) for ongoing cat care related to their continued good health.
Some people in these reviews have complained about the high fees. I'm would guess other providers charge less and I know some charge more. I moved here from Northern Virginia so I'm paying less now. The facility has no dogs or other animals, they schedule appointments for my convenience and they take good care of my cats. The fee is worth it to me.

  • It's clean, bright, and owned and operated by the dr.  They have experience staff and they step you through all the steps that is needed with your animals.  They also work on exotic animals.  I take my sugar gliders there too.  They are just so professional and friendly.  I would highly recommend them to others.

  • We awoke to our dog gasping and gurgling in the middle of the night to find blood pouring out her nose and mouth.  It subsided a bit so we waited until morning to call this vet and take her in.  I believe this was a Tuesday.  The vet said she would have to sedate the dog to look in her nose and couldn't do that for a couple of days.  Sent us home with some meds for bleeding.  Then we took her back to be put out and examined.  We got no paperwork on the workup, the diagnosis, the treatment, the labs.  All I had was an invoice.  What is making me write this report now is that I recently took the dog to a really good vet who called Dr. Redmon's office.  As it turns out the dog's liver enzymes were significantly off at the time Dr. Redmon saw her yet she said nothing about it and did not treat it.  Obviously it's gotten worse over time.  This is not the right vet for me.

  • I can't say enough good things about this veterinary clinic. One of the first things they did was to contact the prevous vet who had seen this dog almost a year ago. All I had from that vet was an invoice - no diagnosis or treatment plan paperwork. Dr. Aronson's staff contacted the previous vet and found out that my dog had signficantly elevated liver enzymes a year ago. That vet had never said a word about it. Now I have a dog with much worse liver problems than it would have been (my opinion).
Trimming my dogs nails has always been an issue and typically involved muzzling her. The fact that this dog has been trimmed at PAWS with absolutely no restraint or sedation says a lot to me about the atmosphere and attitude at the clinic. This tells me that if Dr. Aronson is not available I can be confident that one of the other vets will have the same outlook on treatment.
The clinic practices integrative medicine which to me is perfect. The dog came home with integrative and traditional medicines. Dr. Aronson knows what Animal Bowen is and felt that it would be a treatment to help the dog too. I definately got the impression that this vet and clinic keeps up with new information and is interested in staying and quot;smartand quot;.
When I left the clinic I had a lot of written information on the diagnosis and treatment for my dog. It's the most thorough and complete I have ever experienced. The staff will call the next day to see how the animal is and may call again a few days later. if you leave a message on the website they'll get right back with you.
The vet is tops, the clinic is tops. This is the only place I'll be taking my dogs even though it's a long drive from where I live.

  • The vet said the horse had untreatable neurological damage, was dangerous to ride, and recommended euthanasia. The vet was wrong; the horse is recovering beautifully with the right treatment, which did not require prescription drugs nor surgery.  If I was this vet I would retire.

  • Dr. Wallace performed the operation on May 19th and has seen the dog several times since.  There were no extra charges for the revisits.  He is due for another check-up on the leg in mid-June and no charge is expected for that visit. Dr Wallace was thorough and professional and VERY caring about our dog. He explained everything to our satisfaction and his staff was pleasant also. We did not wait long in the waiting room. I heartily recommend this Veterinary.
