I was called by their appointment scheduler and was told I needed to be seen and quot;statand quot; instead of the dreaded 2-3 month wait and so I was seen the next day. In fact, Dr. Maricic saw me after normal office hours. Very impressed by the care I received and the concern Dr. Maricic had. He performed all the tests, etc. himself. Took his time to discuss symptoms, writing down everything. Very pleased that I will be under his care through this. He also called me personally to let me know results of my blood work too instead of having one of his staff notify me, something I'm not accustomed to with medical providers. Bottom line, VERY HAPPY to be under the care of Dr. Maricic and would definitely recommend!

The Dr. talked to me about my condition. He explained medication options, what he thinks I should do and what is safest. He was even nice to my 7 year old daughter.

Almost no wait. Alert, friendly (but busy) MD. I went there because of negative experiences at another rheumatologist, and will go back.

    Smith, Dr. Karen L
Although she left town, I will be going all the way to see her. She is extremely brilliant and she knows her field. She can diagnose things that nobody else can. She does know lupus which I can?t say for everybody who calls themselves rheumatologists.

While I was not impressed with Dr. Walsh's bedside manner - I found both she hand her PA to be abrupt - the care I have received has been great. She tried some new medications and I have had relieve from my pain. The office is responsive when I have called, and helped me when I had an insurance problem.

    Mian, Dr. Sabina
Dr. Mian has been my doctor for about 4 years. In spite of this, she does not know who I am, does not know what my treatment program is and has thought it was different than it is several times. She prescribes a certain regime and then asks why I am on that regime. She has an assistant that basically speaks no English. Dr. Mian will not return your calls. The assistant is the go between, and because of her lack of skill in English, and Dr. Mian's lack of skills in Spanish, there are misunderstandings all the time. I speak Spanish and talked to the assistant in Spanish, but she was obviously unable to communicate correctly in English my message to the Doctor. Even though my illness has been very well controlled for many years, Dr. Mian would insist that I come in to the office frequently. If I did not go, she would not renew my prescriptions. Not having my prescriptions is a death sentence for me. It is very serious if I am without my medication, so I would dutifully go to these appointments, where nothing new would take place, and misunderstandings were galore. Not to mention that I could wait for over an hour to be finally seen by the Doctor. My previous care (in another state) required me to go in once a year, because I was well controlled, and had been for over 20 years. I see this approach by Dr. Mian as a money making scheme. I have left Dr. Mian's care for another doctor. I would never recommend her. I wasted years trying to get a good relationship with her to no avail.
