    Marshall, Dr. Timothy M.
He's very attentive. I'm always very relaxed when I'm there. I'm feeling great. I passed all my test. He does whatever it is to maintain me and it seems to be coming along really good. He's got 2 beautiful dogs that come around and visit you and they just relax you. If he retires, I hope it's after I die.

They have professional services.  They take your time with you and are very caring.  The staff is great and also very professional.  It is easy to get an appointment and they usually get you in within 15 minutes of your appointment.  The waiting room is small but comfortable.

    Agave Surgical Associates
Since 2007 I have suffered from numerous small bowel obstructions to the point where, on average, I was being admitted to the hospital with small bowel obstructions every four to five months over a twelve month period. The hospital stay would always involve a nasal gastric tube over a three day period while the obstruction relieved itself. Surgery, while an option, was couched in terms of the last alternative if the SBO did not relieve itself. Finally, Dr. Charles Atkinson of Agave Surgical Associates after examining me during my last SBO outlined a surgical alternative that he thought would alleviate future blockages. His knowledge, confidence and professionalism gave me the confidence to proceed with the surgical procedure as proposed when no other physician seemed to have an alternative except to continue with the "quarterly blockages".
The procedure went off without any problem. And while its too early to know if the procedure has been successful in alleviating future blockages Dr. Atkinson's confidence, professionalism, bedside manner and knowledge was the determining factor in opting for the surgery. While only time will tell, I am confident that Dr. Atkinson's surgical procedure has eliminated what was becoming a negative life changing condition. Left unaddressed I am sure future blockages would have occurred and would ultimately result in a very serious condition and possibly life threatening event.
Dr. Atkinson and Agave Surgical Associates have my highest recommendation. I could not have asked for better medical care - something that is becoming increasingly difficult to say in today's environment.
My sincere and heart felt "Thank you" to Dr. Atkinson, his staff and the staff of Tucson Medical Hospital where the procedure was performed.

    Chiarello, Dr. Robert M.
He was very helpful in recommending a spa nearby to help me with my ailment. I had a great therapist who worked on my foot with heat and ice and exercises and within 5 treatments was pain free. Dr. Chiarello fitted me for orthotics which I wear all the time especially on my walks around the golf course. He is friendly, courteous, and very helpful. I highly recommend him.

Pima Heart Physicians - Tuscon Heart Center
Upon arrival, the staff who checked my wife and I in never said a word to her when she approached the check-in counter and signed her name. Later when she was called they were business-like but not especially friendly.
The nurse practitioner who first came to the room seemed very knowledgable, friendly and involved. Later we both agreed she was very good. The doctor who arrived later was probably very knowledgeable and competent, but we were not impressed by him. My wife and I talked about the visit afterward and both were very impressed with the Nurse Practitioner, but we both agreed that the doctor struck us as aloof. The doctor recommended that she have an ultrasound and said someone was available shortly to perform the scan if we could wait. The tech was very unimpressive and we both had reservations about him since he did not have a professional appearance. We soon found out that his bedside manner was poor. He seemed less than familiar with the equipment he was using and even said he was new to that particular system which was why it took longer to finish. For numerous reasons he appeared completely unconcerned with protecting her modesty which neither of us appreciated. He did get a good ultrasound, however, since the test did not have to be repeated.
If you are not concerned with who you see as long as they do an adequate job, then this provider may be fine for you. But my wife and I are both looking for more in our healthcare providers. We see the same doctors when able - together when possible - and always compare notes. Doctors, NPs and other medical staff who seem cold or aloof and ones that don't seem to be able to develop a personal connection with either of us aren't going to work for us. The and quot;old schooland quot; providers with cold or distant dispositions are not pleasant to be seen by. We have already selected a new office and cardiologist.

    Short, Dr. Timothy J.
He is really good. The staff is super friendly and professional. The wait time is at the minimum. I like his personality; he is a down to earth person. He doesn't use his title or look at you like he is above you. He has two locations which is nice so no matter where you're at you have an option.

    Mayer, Dr. Jeffrey S.
He was a great doctor and I really loved his services. He has moved to a different practice model. He is no longer accepting my insurance, so I had to find a new physician. He is an example of an excellent physician.

I ordered a set of aids for myself back in August of 2007. This man travels from site to site in a motor home and visits small towns in Southern Arizona. He told me it would be two weeks before I got my hearing aids after I ordered them. It was six weeks and when I called him he told me he had the hearing aids but wouldn't be in Benson for another three weeks, so we drove to his home to pick them up. When he fitted them into my ears, I told him they were very uncomfortable. I had worn other hearing aids before these that did not hurt my ears. He suggested I wear them for two weeks, until he was back in Benson and then come see him again. I actually wore them for eight days at which time my ears were too sore to use them any more. I called Mr. Roche and complained and he instructed me to not use them again until he could see me the following week. Following his instructions, I went without hearing aids for six more days during the holiday season. When I finally did see him in Benson, he laughed about my problem and told me he had actually given me someone else's hearing aids that should not and did not fit my ears correctly. He then gave me the correct ear pieces and proceeded to tell me I needed to wear them for a couple of weeks to get used to them before he could adjust them correctly. My hearing was so bad, I could not make out conversations one on one or on the phone. They were way to loud, did not give me any clear hearing at any level. I called him again and explained what was happening. He suggested I see him the next time he was in town, so I asked him to call me and let me know when that would be. I waited four weeks without hearing from him, called him again and had to wait another two weeks to see him again. When I did see him, he told me he had ordered the wrong hearing aids for my ears, would have to send them back and have them replaced with the correct ones. I still had my old hearing aids so I turned the news ones over to him for replacement. Six weeks later, I finally caught up with him by phone and was told he had just had knee surgery and would be another two weeks before he would be in Benson again. I did wait the two weeks for him, and he did have a set of hearing aids for me. Since that time, in March of 2008, I have been going back for adjustments on the hearing aids every time he is in the neighborhood, usually every four to six weeks, though he promises it will be every two weeks. This last week, I went to him again, still not able to hear and understand conversations in the same room. I can only understand if I can see a person's lips and combine the lip reading with the sound. Despite all of my problems, Mr. Roche is a very congenial storyteller and he convinced my husband to purchase a hearing aid from him four months ago. It took six weeks to get here and did no fit his ear correctly, to the point his ear was bleeding. Do not do business with this man!
