  • Less than 5 minutes after I purchased my $29.00 service call Curtis called to set an appointment. He said that someone could come out that evening even though it was a Sunday. Chris came promptly and was professional, curious and knowledgeable. Several items were in need of service which he fixed. Very glad we called because a previous company had duct taped something that had come loose and could have caused a fire. Yikes! He explained what the problems and repairs were and now our system is working. He also told us that there would be a 1 year warranty.

  • My wife met Merle Ohmart (owner of Breathe Clean) at our house and waited while the ducts were cleaned (9/11/2012). After cleaning, Mr. Ohmart asked if we'd like the ducts sealed. My wife agreed, and Mr. Ohmart supposedly sealed the ducts with some kind of chemical (an extra $100 charge).  My wife paid a total of $250 with a check and all seemed OK.
    Friday (9/14/2012), when I was available to go by the house and inspect how well the ducts were cleaned, I found the ducts (overhead in the ceiling) still dirty with piles of loose debris located in the corners of the duct work.  There was no visual indication that the ducts were sealed with anything and no pleasant clean odor one would expect from a sealing/sanitizing solution. In addition, the return air ducts, located in the floor, had only some light cleaning done around both openings but looking further inside they were not clean. Looking down inside the return ducts it was obvious to see that they had not been cleaned at all and were still disgusting; full of lint, dirt, chunks of who-knows-what, and dead bugs.
    I contacted called Mr. Ohmart right away (Friday afternoon) and got voice mail. I called again after the weekend on Monday morning and left another message. Still no response. My wife called from her cell and Mr. Ohmart answered. My wife told him the problems we found and to call me right away. He did not. I called him back and left another message. He then called me back right away and had some excuse why he hadn't gotten back. We agreed to meet at the house the coming Saturday (his day off according to him even though his ad says he's open 24/7).  I waited at the house Saturday and he never showed up, never even called. After waiting 1 hour I called and left him a message stating my plans to file a complaint. I also text him. Eventually I got a text stating he believed we were to meet on the following Saturday, 1 week later. I gave him a chance to come by that day while I was still there and make things right. He never bothered.  I text him a picture of the inside of the return air duct. He responded with a text saying 'I obviously forgot the return air duct'.  As of 10/5/2012 I have had no other responses from him and am proceeding with filing a Better Business Bureau complaint.

  • The service in 2009 went well when they fixed the errors from the previous work done in 2008. We had a condensate pump installed and the work for them coming back cost us $150.00 which was for parts only. I am rating Carls Service for 2009 and not the subcontractor we had in 2008.
