    I used Luster Custom Homes for an entire house remodel and loved the results. I had recently purchased my home and it was in much need of updating. I took several bids, but ended up choosing Tanner based on his past projects. I was focused on quality and needed a organization I could trust. Tanner isn't the cheapest, but you get what you paid for. I explained that I wouldn't be available much, and while I did give him direction as far as style, he went the extra mile to "figure it out" against my busy schedule. They would send me status updates, text me pictures, and we spent time with his fantastic in-house designer, Misty. They are very detailed oriented so the finishes turned out fantastic. His crew is hardworking and they always cleaned up after themselves. The communication was great. We had a couple of change orders as we worked thru the project and they we great about ���fitting it in��� in the time frame we had agreed to.

    SHUTTER CRAFTERS
    They midsized the front window and would not remedy. It is just the way it goes. They told me they messed up and a replacement was on its way after 6 months. Never delivered. They ripped the drywall because their installer didn't bother to cut in on old chalk and just ripped it off the wall and everything going that was attached. The doors weren't cut even so they were going to replace and never did. They came up with a lot of excuses. Moving offices,tech problem, people sick,Yada Yada. In the end because I used amex they were able to mediate meaning shutter crafters didn't respond. There is a time limit for disputes and you will find other reviews that show the length of time 4 to 6 months. If you dont start a dispute after 3 months with some credit cards you may be out of luck. We used this company on two other homes 5 and 10 years ago. They have gone totally into the bottom of the barrel and was really really disappointed. Scott was a nice guy but failed us miserably. I would not recommend this company. Pay a little more and go elsewhere

    We had two different homes. My husband had all windows done in his prior home by Scott with Shutter Crafters many years ago. Several years ago we decided to do 20 windows in our new home with shutters and loved the z style with a deco type frame which matched our baseboards we went with the company again. The price was super competitive and being someone that most contractors call very picky this was a job that I have had not any issues with. We all remember the bad not the good. We just had all our windows replaced and two doors. The shutters from the old doors no longer fit and we had one large window that had a boxy type design so we decided to call the Shutter Crafters to create shutters for the new doors and the last window in the front so everything matches. We are waiting on the last order for the two door and one window but as I looked at the other reviews I was very very surprised. The experience we had was nothing like the other ones described as negative and Scott was terrific and the shutters have held up well and the company has been responsive. Hopefully our last order and install will be as good as the last two rounds.

    Dave's Blind & Shutter Repair
    Called and left message; Dave returned the call later that day.  He could have swung by that evening (about 6pm) but we were busy so we made an appointment 2 days out.  He arrived promptly, did a great job.  It was $55 for him to remove the 4 foot blind and re-do the string, rehand the blind and then put the rail back on (I had taken it off to see if I could see any broken strings).  Very professional, great job.  I loved that I didn't have to take the blinds down myself and haul them someplace -- especially as these blinds are big and difficult for me to take off and put on.  I would use his services again if I needed blind repair.

    The service was performed as promised and we are very happy with the blinds.  The installer was very fast and very efficient and took the time to show me the tricks of using the blinds.  They even sent me a nice massage coupon as a thank you.
    Highly recommended for blinds or window treatments.

    Southwest Blinds & Shutters
    First off my issue is not with the quality of the products we purchased it is with the service or lack of and lack of response and action of Southwest. When had a new home built in late 2014 and had Southwest out of give us an estimate for window treatments throughout the home. We never heard back from them and went with another company for all rooms except the great room kitchen and office which we purposely waited on until we got the feel of the new home. After finding out that Southwest had an issue with their email system on our first contact or so we were told we decided to give them another try since they carried the products we liked and their showroom was close to our home. I now think this was a BIG mistake. We purchased over $10,000 in products for just 3 rooms. The products came in on time and are perfect. Unfortunately one of the electrical motor connections was bad and a new one needed to be ordered. This is where the 3 ring circus started. The subcontractor electrician told Southwest what to order and asked that it have a priority shipping placed on it which should usually get it in within 2 business days. A week later the electrician called to see whay the part status was and was informed that Southwest never ordered it. Southwest ordered the part that day but did not put any priority on it. When it came in a week later it was the wrong part. I sent Eli an email stating my displeasure with the service and he said he would personally follow up to see what the problem was. His response was an email to me not even a phone call. The electrician called me from another state and said he would order the part and have it sent directly to him to ensure it was the right part and that was the last time I have heard from anyone. I was told the owner was on vacation in Hawaii and would not return until mid-week but that was 4 days ago and still no call, followup or any comtact. STAY AWAY from Southwest. They talk a great game but you will pay 5 star prices for 1 star service. I am contacting the blind manufacturer myself to get the electrical connection and will move forward with another company to install it.


    So I am a fair person and feel compelled to update this post becuase I think it is the right thing to do. While the run around described above did happen James the owner of Southwest called me and we had a lengthy discussion about the breakdown in Southwests communication with me. James was very professional on the phone and informed me that they are a small business and most of the times everything goes well and customers do not experience the problem I experienced. James stated that as a result of my situation he has made several changes within his company to ensure that things like this would not happen again. I feel James was sincere in his assessment and he did not try to make excuses on why things went wrong. James explained the changes he has implemented as a result of my experience and I feel he truly wants to make his company better. The one thing I did really like is that James never asked me to remove this post from Angies List. I have had other companies do this and that is not what I feel is the true Angies List philosophy is about. I do not feel he took the time with me just to get my post removed, he did them because it was the right thing to do. So my overall take on Southwest would be, they carry great products and we have never had an issue with the quality of product we purchased except that one minor electrical connection that was a manufacturer defect and shold not reflect on Southwest. The owners of the company are trying to run a small professional business and are well on their way of doing that. If you do decide to conduct business with Southwest and a problem arises contact James and let him straighten the situation out from the onset.

    After reading the positive reviews on Angie's List, I called and they were very responsive with an immediate appointment to be scheduled with Jill.  I met with Jill who was very professional, personable and knowledgeable regarding options available for the replacement of shutters in family room.  More importantly, they were able to meet my request to have the installation complete prior to the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.  I would highly recommend them and will use for all my future needs.

    I have used the company in 3 different homes. They do great work and I would highly recommend this company to others. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They are more than willing to offer suggestions. Jose helped me with  he majority of my home and she was very helpful since I was not quite sure what I was looking for. They do a very professional installation job. It is very easy to schedule with the company. They are a great company to work with.

    Being a researcher/analyst as a profession has its pluses and minus.  The benefit of it is you typically find quality providers...which I did with All Pro Shade Concepts.
    I was in the market for sunscreens for a new home I purchased.  After doing countless research between some of the top providers in the valley, I chose All Pro Shade Concepts for numerous reasons.  Their price was VERY reasonable, the time frame was acceptable, they were thorough, and Robert was very friendly and accommodating.  
    I knew I wanted sunscreens, but couldn't decide between 80% or 90%, but knew I wanted 90% on the master bedroom.  They accommodated my request to install sunscreens in the master and on my french doors while I decided on the rest of the house. They came back days later and installed the master screens.
     When I finally made my decision they came back and installed screens on my whole house.  Robert had great communication throughout the project and showed up on time.  The screens look very nice and great quality.  I couldn't be happier.
