    AZ NativeScapes
Craig and his team at AZ Nativescapes did an amazing, efficient job. They were all polite, informative and willing to make changes as we went. I enjoyed looking at materials and talking designs with Craig to make sure we created a perfect yard for our growing family. The entire process went far better than we ever expected and only took 4 days start to completion. Every email, call or text was returned promptly. Craig has been by a few times to check on the grass and make sure everything is growing well. We will recommend AZ Nativescapes to friends and family or we will use them ourselves if we ever move and need to create another perfect yard!

I can't say enough about how professional and intelligent Mansoor is! He is the only contractor that made sure his workers did the job right instead of taking short cuts. Of course, he hires only the best workers, He went up and beyond his duties as a contractor. He is also a very personable man that made sure that the work performed exceeded our expectations. He brought a whole new meaning to the "Wow" factor. All the work was performed in a very timely manner. Like I said, I cannot praise Mansoor Rohani enough! Our back yard is beautiful and we are so proud to show it off! We have more projects to do in the near future and we are definitely hiring Mansoor of MTR Builders Inc. to fulfill our dreams! Thank You!!!

Great! Job was too small for sunset fence but they refered two different contractors for each part of the work. They were able to do the work within a few days.. and went above and beyond expectations.. would definitely hire them again, as well as sunset fence if I every need a larger amount of work done.

    Next Level Remodeling Inc
All in all, things went very well!  Rodolpho and his team worked quickly and finished in the time that was quoted to us (two weeks).  The quality of their work is superb!  The paint, the tile work, the new block wall, all of it.  We were really very pleased with the quality, the speed, and the price.  His pricing easily beat out other quotes we got for the same work.

We found the best way to communicate with Rodolpho was by text.  He is slow to respond to emails (as he is on job sites working all day) but was responsive by text.

We would certainly hire Rodolpho and Next Level Remodeling again.

    Kirk Development Co
I recently noticed some crack lines in my exterior masonry block wall as well as a crack line in my inside ceiling drywall near the exterior crack lines.  I was concerned about having to have foundation repairs or other expensive remedial work.  Instead of calling foundation repair contractors, I contacted Kirk Development Co.  They had done outstanding work on our extensive remodeling job in 2011, so I wanted to get their professional opinion of this problem before I called anyone else.  They had Curt, the Project Superintendent we had worked with in 2011, review several photos of the cracks and called me with the news that they are nothing more than normal settling cracks, consistent with the age of the house, and that they are not caused by a problem with the foundation.
Calling Kirk Development Co. instead of a foundation repair contractor saved me time and money.

Craig, the owner, is as experienced and hands on as you can get.  He was on site everyday and worked with us to get the best yard/price combination for our neighborhood.  He is very cost conscious and helped to find alternatives that accomplished everything we wanted done without compromising the appearance of our yard.  We had our concrete sidewalks demolished and a new brick paver sidewalk installed on two sides of the house.  The work was impeccable.  We also had a brick wall surround put in for artificial turf which looks as good as the paver sidewalk.  Craig walked us through the project several times to get our final opinions prior to completion.  He came back to check on everything a few days after the work was done to make sure we were satisfied with the landscape.  Overall our experience with Craig was great from beginning through the install and follow up.    I would recommend AZ Nativescapes to my neighbors without hesitation.

    Handyman Connection - Phoenix
The individual showed up, he was on time, and he was wearing the little booty's on the feet. No complaints about him as a person, he was nice enough, he looked at the project I requested bid for, about 230 sq ft of tile installed in kitchen and utility room. Mind you, I have all of the product needed, the tile, the mortar and the grout, I simply needed someone to install. While the person was here, I remembered a project I have been wanting done, an exhaust fan in the bathroom. We chatted a little and then he stated he would email my quote. 2 or 3 days later, imagine my surprise when the bid is over 4 grand to install 230 sq ft of tile. More than 4 times any of the other bids. As for the exhaust fan, only $225 which was in line with what I was willing to pay. I emailed back that I wanted to have the fan done, saying nothing about the RIDICULOUS $4000 price for the tile, thought I would ask when he came. I got an email back from him about 2 days later stating he was out of town and would call me upon return in two days. Well, it's been 7 days and there is no word from him.
I don't have time to waste on contractors or handymen that are OUTRAGEOUSLY priced and NOT RESPONSIVE no matter how polite you are.

Craig made landscaping the front yard of our fixer-upper fun, taking it from dirt to delightful in a day.
His explanations during the estimate were invaluable. He reviewed our proposed layout, made a number of cogent suggestions, and in the end produced a better yard than we would have received if we'd stuck with our plan. He took our priorities into account and made appropriate adjustments to his typical mix of plants. We had a number of other landscapers bid on the project, and eventually went with AZ Nativescapes because Craig was the only one who seemed to be listening to what we wanted, did not steamroll us or push us into a standard model, and who explained what he would be doing in enough detail that we were sure we would be getting what we wanted.
During the run-up to the installation he was in touch frequently, spent a day with us at the nursery selecting an appropriate mix of plants, and took time to walk the neighborhood with us, pointing out the variations in gravel colors and sizes, to ensure that the new yard fit in with the neighbors'.
The installation itself was fast and easy. His crew replaced an outdated irrigation system, re-zoning it to match the needs of the new plants, trees, and vegetable garden, including in the back yard (not part of the original estimate), removed a decaying cement walkway, leveled the ground, installed mounding, installed roughly 16 plants, and added gravel, and left detailed maintenance instructions. He checked back in several times after the installation to be sure no plants needed to be replaced.
There was one minor issue in that his crew forgot to turn the irrigation system on before they left, but we caught that before anything died. Once the system was turned on, everything recovered within two days. Nonetheless, Craig swung by later in the week, just to be sure.
We did override Craig on one issue, and that was a mistake. The yard would have looked better had we done as he recommended. But that's not his fault. He asked several times, but in the end did it the way we asked for (the wrong way).
Despite our meddling, AZ Nativescapes transformed our yard from the local eyesore to the nicest yard on the block, while also cutting our water use in half.
    Highly recommended.

I called Dan Pennell for quote, they had a good rating on Angies List. He was prompt and professional with the quote. It came back a little higher than 2 other companies I got quotes from. Dan seemed the most professional, so we went with them. I called him to revise the length of the wall before they came to build, we had a miscommunication. When his crew came to build, they started to build the wall higher - when I noticed, they stopped, and called Dan. We agreed there had been a miscommunication and split the cost of the extra, unused block. They tore down the old wooden fence between our backyard and our neighbor's, and put up a 6 foot block wall. It took them one full day. For some reason, the wall they erected was about 4-6 inches taller than our other existing block walls on the other sides of our yard. When I questioned this, Dan said it could be because of a couple reasons. I wished they would have solved this problem, it wasn't a huge deal, but I noticed it. The wall looks fine a couple months later now - I've since had it stuccoed. All in all, a good experience, with a couple of hitches along the way.
