    Better Than New Kitchens
Are you are wondering if it is worth repairing and refinishing some of your furniture? The answer is yes, YES, if you have it done by Better Than New Fine Furniture Repair. Give them the opportunity to breathe new life into a family heirloom or refashion an old piece as we did into something with a very different look and purpose. If you are as happy with the results as we have been you will agree your money was well spent. The first project we had them do was rather straight forward. We asked them to take some old wicker pieces we had and refinish them from dark brown to white. Having done this myself in the past I can tell you this is more work than you might think. They did a great job and the chair and rocker look fantastic and will give us many more years of use. Now for the second and much more difficult project. We had a rather large library piece that not only needed the color changed, from black to white but the piece had to be refashioned so it could be used for an entirely different purpose. At Better Than New Fine Furniture Repair you get the best of both worlds, good technicians (the finishes were nicely done) but also artists. Dan Oldejans, the owner, worked with us to take the initial piece, redesign it, replacing wood with glass and adding new moldings to bring the library up to date and allow it to serve an entirely new use as a room divider. All this was done at a fraction of what a new piece of furniture of this quality would have cost us. Before deciding to entrust our furniture to Dan, we looked at all the ratings and are so happy we selected Better Than New Fine Furniture Repair. Both projects we had them do for us could not have come out any better and we will not hesitate to use them again in the future. We were trilled and are sure you will be as well.

    Dignity Moving, LLC
From the first call to Dignity Moving, I was highly impressed with Daniels professional manner and ability to ***** our needs over the telephone. Daniel understood the scope of the project, the amount of blankets necessary to protect our furniture, the importance of moving a family piano, and knew the estimated time frame of the actual move which was right to the minute. At the end, there were no extra hidden costs, fees or additional money that was tacked on to our bill. Daniel texted the night before to confirm our appointment and showed up promptly on time. The men were courteous, respectful of our furniture, and we had no communication issues throughout the morning. We appreciated the careful and efficient work you accomplished on our behalf. We will call when the remodel is completed to have Daniel and Dignity Moving move our furniture back into our home. Thanks again, Dignity Moving, and have a great Thanksgiving weekend! You cannot go wrong with these amazing movers!

    The Village Woodsmith
Wow. Wow. Wow. It is just beautiful now. Great care was taken to fix damage and remove stains. It was lovingly restored and gorgeous now. Couldn't be happier. Have since contracted for another larger job. People are very easy to communicate with and work with. They know what they are doing and enjoy "bringing out the best" in each piece of furniture.

I provided a detailed description of the job needed over the phone (cover minor scratches on dinette chairs) and was quoted $45 each. When I packed the chairs up and delivered to the shop, the price went up to $75 each which I had to barter down to $60. When I picked the chairs up, I found several scratches still on the chairs and had to leave without them for a redo. I felt they should have offered a discount for my inconvenience.

    Gastineau Moving
We moved yesterday from Tempe to Cornville AZ (90 miles north). It's our second move in about three years with 3 Men and a Truck...and while I hope we don't have to move again, I would hire them again in a heartbeat! Donovan, Casey, Vernon and Jesse were awesome! They arrived on time, worked with amazing efficiency despite the 110 degree heat, and took very good care of our belongings which included an upright piano. They were consistently polite, friendly and patient despite the various obstacles created by big furniture and small doorways. And the price was very fair for what we received even with the surcharge for fuel and the CC convenience fee. Thanks again, guys! Great Job.

    Speedy Furniture Repair
They came to my home, gave me an estimate, took the items to be refinished, and about two weeks later called to schedule the return of the items.  While they were here they repaired the hinge on a cheval mirror at no charge. All of the items that were refinished looked great!  I would use them again and I highly recommend them.

They do fantastic job. Most of my clients are global and they do not want the ordinary. So, if any customer is looking for something that is handcrafted or that have that look and feel of handcrafted, this is the company to do it. They do the basics exceptionally well, but they are equally as good with the unusual.

Giovanni was a pleasure to work with. I had a settee reupholstered after the cats had their way with it. First he gave me an estimate from a text picture I sent him. Then he came to my home with a large selection of fabrics. He was very upfront about the cost of each fabric. After selection he promised me a cost, time of completion, and he took the settee for repair. He met his deadline and cost with no surprises. The work was top notch. I recommend his services.

It went great. They showed up on time and were very professional. We kept adding things on to their list and they were flexible. No complaints about any damage to our furniture. Even when we changed our mind about where to put things, they were flexible and accomodated our requests. I will definitely use them again.

    Wes Flinn - RPT
I own and operate a professional recording studio in Tempe called 513 Analog Recording. We have several pianos, including a 1921 Kimball baby grand, in which this review is regarding. You'd think that as a professional recording engineer, I'd know something about the internal workings and needs of a piano, but boy was I wrong. This piano has been in my family for 40+ years, and needed a lot of work. Let's get something straight from the beginning- Wes Flinn is not just some guy who tunes your piano. He is a Registered Piano Technician, or RPT. This means he has many many years of training and experience, and has been all around the world and back servicing and attending to pianos. He has most likely seen every type of piano possible, and has seen every problem associated with them. This gives him an advantage, and you an even greater one.
This is because he knows exactly what your piano needs. He's not interested in meddling in anything other than these needs, and the best and most cost effective way to provide them. It doesn't take more than a few seconds to realize that he knows exactly what he's talking about, and that your piano is now in the hands of one of the most qualified professionals available. Of all the people that have worked on our pianos over the years, Wes was the most: honest, upfront, knowledgable, organized, focused, communicative, punctual, and detail oriented of any of them.
    His work is outstanding.
The state of our Kimball before Wes worked on it was almost unplayable. It was noisy, the action was heavy, and musicians complained about it's playability. Upon the completion of the level of maintenance that Wes recommended, it is sounds and plays like a completely different piano. The difference was remarkable. Not only was it absolutely worth the cost, but I came out of the experience more knowledgable about my piano. This is because Wes took the time to explain to me the inner workings of my piano, and wasn't just concerned with the state of it's 'sound'. With that being said- he also provided the most accurate tuning to date.
Not every 'piano guy' takes the time to educate. This is an added bonus for any recipient. Wes will undoubtably be servicing my piano's for many years to come. I couldn't possibly recommend him more.
