They are great. There has not been a problem except just that my dog gets so worked up but they are very good with her and really they sit down on the floor and just kind of calm her before they ever even get started on grooming. I was really happy with them and that they are really gentle with the dogs and they take their time and make sure that the dog is comfortable which is what is really important to me.

We have been using Cage Free for several months. When I originally called them to explained that we were NOT interested in having our dog cut, only bathed, and her nails done...also the only exception to this rule was for them to keep her long eyebrows in check, Bunnie the receptionist, told me that Meghan loved to do our breed and that she would be excited about having our dog as a client. We took our dog there every two weeks, and each time she came home, her fur seemed to be a little bit shorter with each visit. She still looked fine to us despite this and we decided to not mention it to them. On her last scheduled visit our dog got sick and so we had to change the date for her appointment. Our regular groomer was not available and so they told us Char would be seeing her. When he dropped her off, my husband told them to brush her teeth and check her nails. I assumed that because she had been there numerous times that they already had my NO HAIRCUT on my request list in my dog's file...there would be nothing different on this visit. Bunnie told me that her ticket to Char said to do a BATH AND BRUSH. Nothing else, because everyone there supposedly knew she was NEVER to be given a hair cut. When she got home I nearly had a heart attack! All of her long beautiful hair was gone. It was cut extremely close to her body and was about one half inch long except on her head and muzzle. When she first went there her hair was about four inches or longer.I contacted them and I did get an offer of a refund and I did get apologies immediately from everyone except the girl who cut her hair. Several days went by and still no apology from CHAR. I called and spoke to Bunnie and told her I was still VERY angry...she wanted to know if I wanted Char to call and I said no it was too late for her apology...she should have called me immediately. I wanted to hear her explanation as to WHY she would give my dog a haircut when all she was supposed to do was bathe her. The owner e-mailed me but never called to apologize. It took six months for my dog's hair to get as long as it was when we first started to go there. I called Bunnie on Tuesday and told her that my husband wanted to meet with the owner...she said she would text her and set it up right away...this is Thursday afternoon and no one has contacted me. I sent them e-mails again last night and still no response. I do not want my money back...this is not about money...it is about bad customer service. It is about bad communication on their part. They make sweet talk with their customers promising you they will take care of your dog and do the right thing...and then they cut off all of your dogs hair. They can't fix this...winter is coming and my dog has thin fur anyway, so she will be cold. They can't glue it back on. Their apology was not sincere. If it was sincere, they would be asking me what they could do to fix this so it didn't resort to me having to tell others to stay away from this place. Bunnie is a sweetheart and I do like her...I have never met Meghan our original groomer...but I understand that she loves my dog. None of that matters if their boss doesn't care about her clients. She is ignoring my messages and no date has been set up for the meeting my husband requested. I am on the warpath now. I am sending out messages telling everyone I know to consider staying away and to tell their friends about my dog. I am posting on Facebook. I am only telling the truth and nothing else...the people that I know can decide for themselves what to do. I am saying nothing libelous. I am telling our vet and everyone who works there...they haven't seen our dog as yet and they too will be shocked and upset because they adore her and her long beautiful now gone hair. Everywhere we go people stop us and comment on how gorgeous her hair was...and it is hair not fur...silky and smooth and was gorgeous. I keep asking over and over WHY...WHY did CHAR cut off her hair when all she was suppose to do was to bathe my dog. I wish I could give no stars, but the one I gave was not for the service but for Bunnie. UPDATE: My husband got two voice messages on his cell phone; normally they have been calling me on our home phone and I guess no one wanted to talk to me since I am so angry about what happened. All I heard from their messages were ridiculous excuses; even though Char offered a weak apology she didn't tell me why she cut of my dogs hair. The face that she goes to school all week and the rest of her yada, yada, yada, did not tell me that she was sincerely sorry; this business apparently has not learned that good communication is a key essential to operating a business. It is VERY simply...I told them we wanted NO HAIRCUTS for our dog and little by little they have been trimming her hair until Char took it upon herself to finish off the job...remember our dog was there two weeks earlier and the last thing she needed was a hair cut! Bad customer service!!!

This is a great grooming facility. I have been looking for a master groomer for several years and found one at Cage Free Grooming. Everyone is very nice and knowledgeable. Both of my dogs looked great for the first time in years. Thank you, Rosa.

This place is great! We have been looking for a groomer that doesn't keep the dogs in cages. They did a great job, and my dogs were not nervous at all. We will definitely go back on a monthly basis. I highly recommend Cage Free Grooming!

Had a good experience and I will use this groomer again.
Description of Work: I had two Golden Retrievers groomed in 90 minutes. The fee charged was the fee upon which we had agreed when I made the appt. There were no up charges because of this or that. One of our Goldens hates to be groomed and he has tons of fur. Although he was not happy when I left him with the groomer, he was content when I came to pick him up. Our dogs are not crated at home and are not happy to be crated when being groomed. This is a "cage free" groomer and they did a wonderful grooming job. They smelled wonderfully clean and looked great. The shorter cut given for the swimming season is the best our dogs have ever had. We had a very good experience with this grooming facility and will definitely use them again.

She looks great and she was happy. She FREAKS out when we go to our typical chain pet store for grooming. She normally shakes and shivers. Today she didn't. She even wagged her tail.
Description of Work: Our dog went in for a bath, brush, nail trim, ear cleaning, toenail trimming.
