    Fishco, Dr. William D
He was recommended to me by another doctor and now he is in my favorite list. He specializes in surgery to foot and ankle. He is the one explored less invasive options first instead of a surgery. He found a thing that will help me more than a surgery would. He got me the braces. I am satisfied with his staff as well. They make me feel comfortable. I never had to wait when I went to see him. He explains everything to me. All the doctors first told me to go through a surgery. However, he is the first doctor who said he will try other options than go in for a surgery.

Went well, went for several months. Was a bad break that needed surgery with screws and plate. Took months to walk right again, but with their help, I have recovered well.

    Clement, Dr. Dean B.
I was pleasantly surprised that I could book my appointment online as well as fill out the new patient information forms at the same time - they use a service called ZocDoc. The service also sends out a reminder email before the scheduled appointment and the office called to confirm that they had received my patient information online. The next thing that impressed me was that I did not have to cool my heels in the waiting room for more than about 10 minutes once I arrived for my appointment. The office has a handy X-Ray machine so I did not have to leave the premises to find out that I had a stress fracture. I was out of there in a relatively short period of time. Good thing since I'm not the biggest fan of spending time in doctors' offices.

    John Nassar MD
Dr. Nassar spent a long time discussing the pros, cons and detailed procedures for surgery. He is a little bit on the serious side but I left with a total understanding of our options, risks, and outcomes. He was unsure of a detail for the surgery. He called the day after our appointment to let us know that he had done some research and would do a part of it differently. I was impressed that he would take the time to do this. We opted to go with a different surgeon because his procedure was not as invasive. However, she is still having difficulties and now wish we had chosen Dr. Nassar do her surgery and the procedure he suggested.

    Stanley Graves MD
He is fantastic. What I like about him is that he really takes time to figure out what the problem is that you are dealing with, to discuss treatment options and to give you an overall outline of what you can expect for your treatment and your recovery etc. Until I had gone to see him, I have never run into an orthopedic doctor who had done his own x-rays and he does.

Dr. Luke Cicchinelli - East Valley Foot and Ankle
He gave me a regimen of Physical Therapy, topical and oral anti-inflammatories, with the understanding that I would let him know if these kept the problem under control. Also arranged for an adjustment to my orthotics, and his clinician was very helpful in this regard. Thus far, it is going well.

    Mezona Orthopaedic
This will be my fifth visit to Mezona Orthopedics for evaluation and treatment of various orthopedic ailments. My first visit to the office was in June of 2009 . Since i didn't know any of the physicians there, i asked the office receptionist to recommend a doctor that could evaluate my knee injury. I was referred to a doctor whose name i will not mention in this review. But one I would not hope to have my worst enemy ever encounter. Sad to say, he still practices there. Suffice it to say I was very unhappy with the unprofessional comments and attitude of the first physician who treated me. Actually, it would be more accurate to say the lack of treatment he provided for my injury. His credentials list him as board certified in Orthopedics. My opinion is that his listed specialty should advertise him as Doctor of Arrogance Extraordinaire!!!! . He took a medical history and ordered an MRI. I was to return for another appointment so he could review the MRI with me. When i returned for my second visit he basically told me i could return to work on light duty status. In his expert medical opinion this meant i could work 8 hour shifts rather than 12 hour shifts assuming all of my regular duties. That was his treatment plan for me. Adios, don't let the door swipe your backside on the way out. As i sat there in his office, i was unable to even stand for a couple of minutes before having to sit down. He would have had to be deaf, dumb and blind to not notice that I was walking like Quasimoto, basically dragging my injured leg behind me. Pathetic for sure. He never offered a cortisone injection or physical therapy. Or anything really. His attitude was if you don' t have a body part that needs surgical excision, don't waste my genius. I left there feeling humiliated and frightened. And unttreated. At the urging of a coworker, i phoned the office and asked to speak to the office manager. I explained what had happened and that i was very unhappy with the care i had not received. She immediately apologized for the behavior and comments of the physician and scheduled me with another physician. The second physician i saw is DR. CYNTHIA KOOIMA. I have nothing but the most positive praise for her. She looked at my MRI, and immediately suggested a cortisone injection and a course of physical therapy to treat the injury. She was compassionate, knowledgeable, and professional. She never made me feel that my injury was any less serious because it did not require immediate surgical intervention. She recommended several options, but ultimately left the decision for me to make. No pressure. Just respect for me as a patient. I imagine it must have been difficult for her to assume my care; that of a dissatisfied patient who already had seen another doctor in her practice group. So, to make a long story short,, I have returned to Mezona Orthopedics again since my original 3 visits described above. The reason i return is totally because of DR. KOOIMA. If it would not have been for her skills and compassion as a physician, i would to this day have a !00% negative opinion of Mezona Orthopedics. I totally trust Dr. Kooima. Most recently, I visited her yesterday for a new injury. I was very pleased with her diagnosis and recommendations. As long as she practices there, Mezona Orthopedics will earn my business. It is her skill, professionalism and compassion as a doctor and surgeon that make me feel i am not just another injury needing to be seen. I would also like to mention on this visit I was pleased with all the details involving my visit. Smooth and efficient front desk check in, congenial and professional ancillary staff such as Dr. Kooima's assistant and the xray tech. Thanks to all!

Dr. Luke Cicchinelli - East Valley Foot and Ankle
I really recommend him. He's amazing, he's so professional. In his practice, I had gone to a different doctor, and he was charging $1000, for 2 visit that was $2000, he was charging them. He was just ready to open up my foot and started the surgery after 2 visits, and I went to a different person, Dr. Cicchinelli and he said that would be the last resort and he charged for each visit between $75 or $80 and he was just wonderful.

    Mayo Clinic Specialty
I injured my foot and went to Mayo Clinic, the appointment was in a week. The clinic helped me make sure my insurance woulds cover the charges. The staff was very helpful and explained the steps of check in, having the x-ray, and seeing the doctor. I had to have an MRI and they made sure the timing would work for me and explained what to expect during the MRI. Dr. Claridge was very informitive, explain treatment as well as what could happen if I didn't treat the foot. I would see Dr. Claridge again and recommend him.
