My father had been a patient of Dr. David Knapp for several years. When Dad developed a sore on his foot Dr. Knapp was ineffective and disinterested in treating the wound.

My father developed a sore on his foot which was exacerbated by diabetes. Over a period of time, visits with Dr. Knapp and trips to the ER, there didn't seem to be any improvement. I took my Dad to a podiatrist in Tucson, AZ (70 miles away from Sierra Vista) to have him look at the wound. The podiatrist personally called and talked to Dr. Knapp requesting that Dr. Knapp set up an appointment for my Dad with wound care and schedule another medical test at our local hospital. Dr. Knapp did not act on either request from the podiatrist in Tucson. Instead, I (his daughter) set up both appointments. While doing the wound care, the sore on Dad's foot got worse and I made another appointment with Dr. Knapp. An intern working in Dr. Knapp's office at the time looked at Dad's foot and recommended to Dr. Knapp that he admit Dad to the hospital and begin him on a regimen of IV antibiotics. Dr. Knapp did not take the time to look at the wound, discarded the inter's recommendation, and told the intern to just release Dad with a script for antibiotics. Dad followed the directions given on the script, but the foot worsened. He ended up in the hospital with advanced gangrene and the foot had to be amputated. Complications from which eventually led to my Dad's death. I would not recommend nor would I take my pets for any medical treatment from Dr. David Knapp.

My husband went to see Dr. Knapp because he had a bad bike crash but took an earlier appointment with his assistant. Tom was very knowledgeable and took care of all our concerns. We will return to both Dr. Knapp and his assistant.

Physical-spent 20 mins with Dr Knapp-he is an excellent doctor.

Dr. Knapp conducted Medical history interview, then pre physical, then partial physical. Very professional and personable.

Dr. Knapp is my internist. I last saw him due to a congestive heart failure.

He researches things and is quite forthright. He is concerned and does not take my word for things. He knows what he is talking about and does what he is supposed to do.

Annual physical. Dr. Knapp provides needed care in a friendly environment. Been going to him for several years and plan to continue.

My appointment with Dr. Knapp was for an yearly exam. This appointment went smoothly due to Dr. Knapp's proceedure of obtaining pre-blood work which made the appointment run smoothly with fewer return visits needed for his ongoing patients. Not only does Dr. Knapp go over the "Lab's findings in detail;" but inquires if you have kept your appointments with other doctors. He is concerned about your total care. If there is an aspect which needs further clarification, he writes an RX for further steady. My impression of Dr. Knapp is that he is very personable, professional and easy to communicate with. Do feel you can place your care in his hands.
