CRainier Window & Gutter CleaningI called Rainier Window and Gutter Cleaning to get an estimate on roof cleaning. I accurately described the roofing material and square footage. When asked if the moss was light, moderate or heavy. MY estimate of the moss coverage was moderate. I expected somebody to stop by and look at the roof prior to an estimate due to it being a large tile roof but I was immediately given an estimate of $600.00 over the phone. I figured that was slightly expensive but acceptable and scheduled the cleaning. On the scheduled morning, the technician stopped by, looked at the roof and left. I received a call saying that the moss coverage was extremely heavy, the price would be $800 and the work could begin about a week later. I was not overly happy but quite busy and rescheduled. A week or so later two technicians stopped by, cleaned the roof in less than four hours…. I received a call stating the new price was now $850…. I sternly reminded them of the $800 bid and reluctantly paid their invoice. The attached photos were taken by and supplied to me by Rainier Window and Gutter…… You be the judge if the moss coverage was “moderate” or “heavy”….. The moss is gone, but I thought the roof looked quite blotchy. Maybe that is as good as it gets….. If you look at the gutters in the photos, they were not cleaned. Although I did not discuss gutter cleaning, I “assumed” they would clean the gutters after they were done…. And we all know what happens when we “assume”.- James J.

AI got one of those deals on Angie’s List for roof maintenance. I got a response in less than 24 hrs. Jesus showed up on time. He assessed the problem and showed me pictures. It was pretty much what I expected: a leak around the solar panels. He checked the rest of the roof as well. Jesus fixed the problem area without any additional charges. He was very thorough and professional. I’d recommend him to any of my friends.

BI went and gave them a down payment and was told it would be two or three weeks until they started. It was the monsoon season; I understand they were busy. I didn't hear from them and after four weeks had passed gave them a call. I was told that due to the monsoons they were running late and I was told it would be another two weeks. I feel that this was legitimate. We have had a wet monsoon season. Maybe I am old fashioned, but a phone call would be nice. The crew finally showed up and did good work that day, the second day the same, the third day they showed up it was raining. They stayed two hours waiting for the rain to stop then told me they were going to go back and would be back the next day. That day came and went. They were a no show. I can live with that just give me a call and let me know. The work when it was finally finished was very satisfactory. Communication with the customer is very poor.
