    If you're considering buying a second home, retirement home or investment property in the Sedona AZ area, or like us, moved to Sedona to follow a dream of living here, choosing Jody Coleman and her team as your buyer's agent is the best decision you could make. I can't believe how lucky we were to have found her. She was the only one in her office when we stopped in one day "just looking" for a real estate magazine. It wasn't until we talked to her that we realized this elusive dream of ours may actually be within reach. In the 17 months that we worked with Jody and her team, our growing knowledge of the market and neighborhoods through their patience and guidance helped us refine and course-correct our wish list. We went from wanting acreage with AirBNB potential and room for horses to a .28 acre new build with the most amazing views and a layout perfectly suited for our lifestyle, and I can't imagine many realtors would have stuck with us while we learned and grew and reshaped the vision of our Sedona dream. We built so much trust in her because she and her team are the type to shoot you straight. They wanted us to find the right home, not just close a deal. It took us five trips and 17 months as our dream evolved, but once it did, we knew we'd found "the one." Had we been working with any other agent, I guarantee we'd have given up on our dream long before then. But Jody is like that friend who's known you since childhood who cares enough to give you their honest opinion, even if it's not what you'd hoped to hear (the proverbial, "you don't look good in that color" kind of tough love only dear friends can usually give). What a listener, and coach, and trusted partner she and her team were through this whole process. What was also impressive, aside from her long list of credentials, was the concept of what a "team" means to a buyer, especially when you're buying from out of market. I guess I thought a team was everyone in the office. Bigger office, bigger team. It's NOT. The Coleman Group is a team of people all working on your sale. Wow did that help make things responsive, efficient and thorough. They were partners all the way through closing and continued to follow up for weeks after as our builder worked through the final punch-list. She also has a black book of trusted contractors for anything we've needed--and anyone on Angie's List knows how hard that can be starting from scratch in a new market. If you share our dream of a home in Sedona, a call to Jody may be the difference between it staying a dream or coming true. Here's wishing yours will come true, too.

    Good Solid Homes
    We are very pleased with all the work that Dave Good completed for us. His carpentry, drywall and painting skills are excellent and Dave went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with his work. As a realtor, Dave served as a buyer's agent for us and, again, did a great job! Not often do you find someone who is as talented and skilled in so many areas of remodeling as Dave is. We are glad to be in our new house and have already booked him for several more projects.

    Kelly Home inspection passed on the home including the roof with no quality issues raised.   Less than two years after purchasing the home I had a major leak in the roof resulting in several thousand dollars of damage to the home.  I hired a roofer to try and fix the leak.  Less than a year later I had another leak in the roof.  When the roofer returned to evaluate the problem, careful inspection revealed numerous areas of substandard construction and the use of substandard materials including use of the wrong flashing as well improper material used to connect the scuppers to the roof.  Roof vents were placed so close together that they served no useful purpose. 
    After reviewing all mistakes and substandard work done on the roof by the builder, I do not understand how Kelly Home Inspection could have possibly known anything about proper roof construction and have passed on the roof without raising serious quality issues. 
    I am now having to redo the entire roof and much of its flashing as well as connections with the scuppers in a home that is only 10 years old, but which has had two serious roof leaks.

    RESPONSIVE TO LISTING THE HOME - It ended there...Incompetent STAFF.   Failure to notify other agents of alarm code to bring prospective clients--Alarm goes of on entrance --police  responded to alarm-- Realtor and clients mortified I'm sure..Anthony Harper DENIED ever receiving information about alarm code even though it was given at time of listing in writing as well as verbal. I asked and sent him a new photo of the total  front of the home and it was not  ever put up on the real estate sites in 4 weeks..Call to phone number on real estate sign were not reponded to in less than 24 to 48 hours after call.  Computer down ---out of office ----out of area  were some of the reasons. Never gave any feed back as to any showings unless we phoned to ask  how it went. We did everything asked of us to make things as smooth as possible.  THIS IS A WONDERFUL HOME --CLEAN --ORDERLY--GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD ETC.   LACK of attention  pure and simple. Big talker of his professionalism --track record--and 50 years of business..A salesman to aquire the listing and to post  however, it ends there.
       DO NOT USE  Anthony Harper as an agent..   GO TO HIS WEB SITE and read the glowing account . iT IS ALL SMOKE

    Real Estate Agent Mark Whaley of Redstone Properties, agent code # 12910, was completely Unprofessional when showing my property to his prospective Buyers. First offense: Appox  April 10, 2013 - Mark Whaley left the front door open and unlocked to the home and with all lights on after showing the property. The home was left unsecured. Second offense:  Several days later, while showing the property, Mark Whaley decided to turn on the A/C to 60 degrees for his clients and all lights inside the home left on again. He then left with his clients without turning off A/C and lights. Third Offense: Mark Whaley decided to leave the driveway security gate open which was normally closed. Fourth Offense: Mr. Whaley allowed the Buyer to begin work on home before the legal transaction was completed. The Buyer was never informed by Redstone Properties, i.e. Mark Whaley, not to enter property until legally aquired by Buyer as Seller was legally liable until all documents were recorded. I would never recommend anyone wishing to sell or purchase property in Sedona, AZ to use RedStone Properties, Firm Code # 268.

    While we were living in NW Oklahoma when I contacted Roy, in late summer 2011, about housing in Sedona. I had visited several times but my new husband had never been here. We come out in September and Roy showed us many homes in a wide variety of neighborhoods to give us a feel for the area and what we could expect for our investment. At the time we were and quot;lookersand quot; and never felt pressure to make a decision. I came back in December to look again and three of the houses I was interested in had either sold or were off the market. After showing me several other homes, Roy agreeded to contact the agent for one of the homes that had been taken off the market and arranged for a showing with the (very reluctant) owners. When my husband and I came back in February, we saw several homes and wrote an offer on one that Roy had shown us, even though it was a and quot;for sale by ownerand quot;. Before we gave the OK to submit the offer, my husband and I were discussing all the other options we had seen and I mentioned the one I had seen in December. Even though the house was not on the market, Roy was able to set up an appointment for us and, we are now living that house.
    Being out of town buyers presented several challenges that Roy and Michelle handled for us. Getting an inspection set up in a day. Referring us to a great lender. Arranging the purchase of many of the furnishings. Giving us contact information for all the utilities and services that we needed when we got here.
    We have been extremely pleased with the service that Roy and Michelle provided to make our move easy.
