  • Mill Avenue apparently uses a subcontractor to perform watch repairs, but Cody Cooper kept himself informed of the progress of the repair and was always able to tell me what was going on with it when I called. The repair took about a month because of difficulties in locating replacement parts. When the storage battery was replaced the watch still did not function and it was determined that a capacitor also had to be replaced. Since the repair work was done, the watch has functioned perfectly. At one point during the process, I asked Cody if if would make more sense simply to replace the watch. He provided good advice that it a well-made watch with better parts than current watches and had held its value over the years. When it came time to pay for repairs, Cody said that he was just charging me what his subcontractor charged for the parts and the work (no markup). Even though watch repair is not the main focus of his business, Cody still does his best to provide good service and ensure that customers will return for their jewelry needs.
  • The first ring was done perfectly. After assessing the second ring, which I had just bought, Cody refused to resize the ring due to its design. He didn't think the stones would remain secure in the setting. After looking at what he wasworried about, I agreed and returned the ring. Cody was able to make me a beautiful ring along the same lines but with stones in a more secure setting and at the same price point. Cody was professional and informative and I would recommend him for any jewelry needs.

  • To continue wearing 3 Tiffany's celebration bands that make up my wedding ring, I needed to have them enlarged a full size each. Tiffany's said it couldn't be done. The rings are all different with intricate designs and small diamonds set in platinum all the way around the bands. Cody Cooper said it could be done and he delivered! The creativity and craftsmanship with which he added the metal and small stones seamlessly following each band's pattern has given me 3 beautiful rings that I will continue to enjoy for years! If you have jewelry that you need altered, don't hesitate to contact Mill Avenue Jewelers. I am so glad that I did.

  • AVOID THIS COMPANY FOR JEWELRY REPAIRS!!!  Save yourself some heart ache and go to a professional jeweler.
About 7 years ago my husband and I had our original wedding rings reproduced because after 34 years of marriage they were well worn.  We kept the original diamonds since even though they weren't large diamonds, they were very high quality and meant a lot to us since they were the only part of our original rings left.  I noticed that a prong was snagging clothes so we took it to a local Fred Meyer thinking "it's a minor job".  They called a couple of days later saying all of the prongs needed to be built up.  Okay, simple enough; do the work.  They told me they would call me when it was finished.  A week and a half later still no call so we went down there to check on it.  The woman at the counter checked to see if it was in.  It was there and no call.  My eyesight isn't the greatest so when I got home I looked at it under a bright light with my glasses and noticed one of the diamond chips was missing on my wedding band and there was a hole there where it used to be.  We immediately went back to the store and showed it to them.  No problem, they'll replace it.  No problem!???  The diamonds were the only surviving pieces of my original rings.  They knew this as I had already explained this.  We also had shown them the papers to our rings showing them that these were top quality diamonds and they assured us that is what would go back into the rings.  They said they would call us when the rings were done.  No phone call again so we went down to pick them up.  A few days later I noticed that same  hole in my ring again.  The diamond was gone!  Went immediately back to FM again and they said they would replace it and call me when it was in.  They put another diamond in.  A week and half later still no call so again we went down to pick it up,  We weren't leaving this time until we looked closely at it. The very nice sales lady lent us her jeweler's loop.   Their so called "high quality diamond" had a large scratch across the top of it!!!  The jeweler was standing there and said if you don't like it I can replace it, it's only a $10 stone.  That was it!  I had had enough of this place.  I walked out holding back the tears.   My rings at one time consisted of a quarter carat near perfect stone and 2 near perfect chips so even though my rings aren't ultra valuable, they are worth millions to me in sentimental value of 34 years of a wonderful marriage.  Fred Meyer Jewelers should stay out of the repair business.  They are HORRIBLE!!!  Save yourself the tears!!!

  • These guys were unbelievable, just unbelievable. Fantastic. I went to the mall, to three different places. One was $27.00, another was $20.00. The third one, I ended up paying $12.00.  I went to PV Jewelry, and I asked him how much he would charge to take a link out. He said "It only takes a couple of minutes, I don't charge anything". That's who they are. I asked about sizing my ring (I lost some weight.), he said they really couldn't cut it because of the stone configuration, but that he could put in a little insert piece in the back that would work. He put it on for me, I asked him how much it was. He said he already had the piece from a different ring, so there would be no charge. That's just who they are. It's like a family owned business, the guy was maybe in his mid 30's, and the father was there, sitting in the chair next to the coins. He asked me if I wanted to see any of them, and he was just great. It's a great family place. I went in there to get a gold chain repaired. I have one around my neck that I keep my glasses on, and I ended up snagging my glasses on something and breaking the chain. They had to repair a link in a gold chain. I could see paying like $40.00, and dropping it off and picking it up a week. I went in and they said "If you want to wait a few minutes, we can do it right now." It was $15.00, and there wasn't any tax when I was done. In a heartbeat I would go back to them. I really trust them. I tell anyone I can now about it, because it was an exception as far as businesses are concerned. You just sense that you can trust them with giving you a fair assessment on pricing, and on any repair cost, on anything. You can fully trust them, and you'll realize that by spending any time talking with them.

  • After this experience I would never trust them to buy orsell jewelry.

  • I had a diamond cocktail ring that was left to me as part of an estate.  I never wore it,  so I decided to sell it.  I went to three Jewelers, Mueller, London Gold and I can?t remember the name of the third.  First, STAY AWAY FROM LONDON GOLD.  That man lied to me so much as to be

insulting.  I told this gentleman that I owned the ring for 15 years and wore it maybe twice.  But that I had it appraised for insurance purposes. I knew the color, quality, size and value of the diamond.  It was 1.2 carrots.  It was a very marketable stone

and ring.  The London Gold man put on a big show, acted all officious, and told me the stone was worthless and offered

me $400.  I could not get away from that man fast enough.  I did not want to create a scene.  I thanked him and

left.  The second guy offered $2700, big difference.  The Third, Mueller also offered $2700.  I liked everything about Mueller and

Assoc.  The people working there were very friendly and down to earth.  And new what they were doing, definitely experts in their field.

  • Have been going to Edmar regularly for assorted jewelry/wristwatch/clock/timer  repair&replacement issues. It's a small place tucked within the Ancala mini-mall. This is a "no BS" place --- i.e. no sales pitch; no bells; no whistles. They'll tell you up-front what you need; how much it will cost; and they often present a final fee lower than the original estimate. Hence my recent returnt visit to them. My wedding band turned out absolutely great (enlarged AND polished) at about $15 lower than original estimate, even though they had to add add'l gold to enlarge it 2 sizes. This (apparently) husband & wife team will accurately evaluate/advise/estimate/and deliver. I am entirely comfortable going back to them for any jewelry repair. And if I sought to purchase NEW (jewelry, etc.), I would definitely include Edmar as a stop on my short list --- they've also got a beautiful collection of high-end items for sale.

  • We have been using Moore & More for all our jewelry for the last 10 years.  I should have written them up long before now.  We found out about them via word of mouth.  Over the years I have replaced my wife's wedding ring with a larger higher quality one, purchased diamond earrings, a diamond necklace, and more.  I had several pieces appraised by my insurance company and they all appraised higher than the price I paid for them.  We have also had them do some resize and repair/cleaning work. This is a jeweler you can trust.  They are friendly, honest, and easy to do business with.  I couldn't recommend them more highly.

  • Fast, and inexpensive Both repairs were done in under ten minutes total. My only issue (realized later) is that he verbally gives a one-year warranty on all work, but it's not on the invoice. That may not be a problem, but it's always better to have it in writing.
Still, I would use Gold Touch again and definitely recommend them to friends and family..
