Chimney Sweeping reviews in Scottsdale

Sean did a thorough cleaning of our chimney which hadn’t been cleaned in 10 years. He covered the hearth and carpeting nearby and vacuumed during and after the cleaning process. He also installed a flue cap per our additional request that same trip. When it was time to clean the dryer vent, he took one look and said that it wasn’t in need of cleaning and didn’t charge the fee for it. He had to access the vent through the roof where he got a clear view of the vent. We will definitely call AZ Chimney and Air Ducts again for service in the future.

The dryer vent had not been cleaned in years. Consequently, the cleaning effort required multiple steps as the technician returned to the vent escape (rooftop) several times to be sure it was clear. The technician was very thorough, cleaning out about 1 pound of lint/long-hair (I have 2 girls). No additional charge for the work. Cost of service same as phone quote. Would use this company again in a heartbeat.

Went well. Sean was very polite. He even took care of a second dryer vent that I hadn't told the company about before. (I did have to pay for it, but it was great that he did on the same service call.)

I was hearing bird noises coming down my chimney, and I was worried that something was nesting up there.  Also, because I intend to install a gas log in a 20-year-old fireplace that has been wood-burning for 20 years, I thought it would be a good idea to clean the chimney.

I purchased the "deal" online (actually, I don't remember the exact price), and I heard back from the provider the next morning.  Service was scheduled within a day or two.

The tech arrived promptly, checked the roof, looked inside the chimney and told me that there were no nests in there, told me that the chimney was not extremely dirty, and proceeded to hook up his cleaning equipment.  Once he was done he cleaned up everything.  His work was quick and professional.

There was a bit of a lingering odor in the room, so I had to air it out a bit, but everything was left very clean and tidy.  This company gets an A in my book.

The gentleman performing the services kept the heart and surrounding areas covered while performing his work and he got the job done in a timely manner and he was on time.  He inspected and gave us a report of everything he found.

Arizona chimney sweep scheduled the cleaning through email. The technician showed up on time and was very professional. Did what they said they were going to do. Left the house clean and gave advice for the future. Would use again

BEWARE of this vendor.  They do not give refunds even when their fault.   In my case I wasn't given an option for a deposit, I was bill the entire $1,145.  I mentioned the 50% savings on using my gas fireplace to a friend who told me to verify as he didn't believe this to be true.
    -   I called 4 fireplace companies and SW Gas who all said there is no way I can reduce cost of running fireplace. I then called Magic Touch to cancel all work telling them I had been sold this valve and other work under false pretenses.  I was then called by their head tech who reiterated that I would save 50% on running fireplace. I did not reinstate the order as I knew what he said wasn't true.
    -   About 4 days later when I didn't receive my refund I called again. That evening I received an email from the co-owner, Michele
Morgan stated she was sorry to hear I had "buyer's remorse" but that her company does not give any refunds. However she would make an exception and give me a partial refund, keeping $333 out of the $1145.
--  I wrote back telling her again there was no product that can reduce gas costs.  She then said I had NEVER discussed cost savings with her techs, that I had ordered the valve for aesthetics, safety, convenience, and maintenance.  NOT TRUE - the ONLY reason for the order was to save costs.  (Last yr my gas bill went up $80 for one month of using fireplace.)  My fireplace is perfectly safe as is, pretty as is, and convenient as is.  Their valve requires pressing a button for turn on flame, with mine I light a match which is certainly not difficult. And when does a valve get ordered for AESTHETICS ?
     -   This owner is also saying I ordered a custom job with custom parts.  This is a total LIE.  The valve they ordered is one used in jobs she said she's done hundreds of times so there is nothing custom about this valve.
-- Their "no refund" policy is on the back of invoice in small print.  I thought I was signing for work done that day, and Yes, I should have read front and back.  However, what I signed is voided because I was sold the products under false pretense. And there is no mention of multiple custom parts, - only one valve. There was only a total, NO breakdown of costs which is unusual.
-Bottomline, I am filing a Vise dispute to get back the $333 back from this company.  I'm wondering how they received so many A's on Angie's List.  Were they the owners throughout their time on Angie's List?

Justin (and Becky) were genuinely helpful and professional. Justin efficiently cleaned the chimneys that needed cleaning and made recommendations re the dryer vent and chimneys we never would have thought of and that will save us a hassle in the future. Top notch service.

I had already cleaned the fireplace myself but wanted it done better by a professional.  They had a better vacuum than me, but that was about all they did - vacuum it.  I thought paying for a chimney sweep would have made it much cleaner as I had experienced when lived in another city.  The bricks are still sooty and soot continues to soil the candles in there, plus the hearth.

Contractor called immediately to schedule appointment, showed up on time, completed the dryer vent cleaning in a very professional manner, and was very courteous.  I would definitely use this company again.
