Septic Tank Cleaning reviews in Santana Rita Foothills

    Southwest Septic Service
What an awesome company! Jose came out to pump our septic tank. Now that may not be the most exciting thing in the world however, he not only came on the scheduled day and time but came back to install the risers. Jose explained how to clean the filter which is an annual must; something I did not know. He also discarded the very heavy cement tops! It is a relief to have such a great company when a repeat service is required. Southwest Septic Service is in my phone! I highly recommend this company! Thank you SSS!

I called other companies first and it seemed that they couldn't be bothered... I had to make multiple calls to some and still never got someone out..
Finally, I  called Southwest Septic Service because the ground was discolored and it was time for a pump..  He came out the next to to take a look.  We scheduled an appointment for later in the week (I wanted time to try to dig up the Septic tank myself).  I gave it the college try and had the cover''s uncovered but I couldn't get to the distribution box.  I called Shane back after a few days and said I'd have him finish digging using his backhoe  He finished all the digging in < 1 hour..
He inspected and then pumped the tank and it turns out the company I used to use would just pump out 1 side and not even inspect the tank...
He found a leak on the output side of the tank and our tank was old enough to not have the filter....
He explained the benefits of  the filter and replaced the output line of the tank...
He also installed a new Distribution box (the old one had collapsed)..
To save time/money/headache next time he installed Risers so we don't have to dig up the tank (it's > 2 ft down) to have it pumped again...
While he was out there (while installing the new Distribution box) he ran a camera down the leach field lines to make sure they were collapsed, filled with roots etc...
I wish I would have found Southwest Septic before  used the other companies who just pumped the tank and did nothing else (no inspections etc)...

We moved into this house right at 3 years ago and I had the Septic inspected and certified at the time. Most everything I have read stated that depending on the size of ones household your septic should be pumped out every 3 - 5 years, so I felt it was time. Even though I have been receiving fliers from the company that did the inspection during my purchase (and they are also listed on Angie's List), I turned to to Angie's List and started at the top.
I have to say I selected Southwest Septic solely based on the Angie's List ratings and reviews, which eliminated the previous company as my 1st choice.  After a bit of miscommunication, Shane came out ready to take my S***.:-) Once he got the tank opened he quickly discovered and pointed out a problem where the line exiting the tank had partially collapsed. Shane provided me the options... one of actually digging the line up myself to save money, but I choose to have Shane to do it all. A week later Shane came back out had it all done in a matter of hours and provided tips on how to keep the septic in the bast condition possible.
3 years from now I'll be calling Shane to take my SH$T away again!

Southwest Septic did a terrific job of uncovering and pumping my septic.  He has his own backhoe, so he was able to uncover it in less than half an hour.
Shane takes great pride in his work, and you can tell that he's done this hundreds of times before.
I was very impressed, watching him, as he even put a tarp down to hold the dirt, and didn't just make a giant dirt pile, which is great if you have a lawn, flowers, or plants around your septic.  When he was finished he even marked my septic lid with a small metal marker that can be seen on the topsoil, so now I don't need my map and tape measure to find it.

In the future I would only use this company.

Last time I had my septic pumped, a well known plumbing company charged me thousands and didn't have a backhoe, but had two guys dig it up by hand, and it took them five hours, which they charged me for.  They also had to come over twice to fix it.

Shane was able to provide his service within three days of our first call. The tank had never been cleaned out so he had to dig down to the tank with his backhoe. He opened both manhole covers and pumped the system. He offered to add risers on the openings so the accesses would be on the surface. This seemed like a good idea as I'll be having heavy equipment around that area and it will now be clearly marked so the truck doesn't drive over it. I had lots of questions and he was very open and knowledgable.

I joined Angies list cause I'm tired of contractors doing a sloppy job and leaving things unfinished.  Shane was EXCELLENT! Very professional, knowledgeable and willing to  explain things and not try and sell me work that didn't need to be done.  His pricing is standard and was upfront with that right away.  He and his coworker were extremely pleasant to have around, very professional and I didn't feel nervous at all.  (yes, I am a female)  Would HIGHLY recommend them for any septic work that you need done.  I wish I had known about him when we were building so he could have installed the tank.  Will use him for any other maintenance needed with our septic system.  You won't be sorry you used him!

His work was timely and he explained everything as he worked. Shane also gave us ways to save money on the job by digging up the tanks ourselves. We were left with no unanswered questions and a satisfaction for a job well done.

The drainage in our home wasn't working...  showers/tubs/toilets were backed up and not draining.  Called Shane (owner/operator/worker) early this morning and he said he could get to us this afternoon.  He arrived around 3:00 and stayed until nearly 7:00 when he finished the job.  Very personable, knowledgeable, and professional!  Knew just what to do and showed us everything he did as he worked.  Had top notch equipment which enabled him to work efficiently & quickly (one man crew). He recommended the use of risers which would make the clean out job much easier next time.  These amounted to roughly one half of the job charge.  Very reasonable rates.  I would highly recommend Shane for any septic job!
