Mac had to deal with the county inspectors office several times... Due to inadequate workmanship of another contractor!! Mac and his crew had to remove all pryor cement/concrete work for it was not to county standards. Then they repoured the entire project Now the job has been done right!!

Phillip is a very polite guy and will promise you the moon, then not deliver. We built a 1200 sq ft metal building. The floor had cracked terribly and we had an issue where one of the joists didn't match up so they tack welded it. We were surprised to see it passed inspection and contacted the inspector. Inspectors do their inspections via skype/FaceTime and said he was not shown that particular area. Ya think?? We sent pics and the inspection was changed to failed. As it was the whole time we worked with Phillip, we then had a hard time getting him to come back and finish the job. The Registrar of Contractors was mostly useless because he hadn't officially abandoned.

DO NOT use McFate Construction. We made the mistake of hiring Phillip back in Feb/March 2017 and we now have a 1,200 sq ft metal building that has failed final inspection and Mr McFate not communicating with us, which has been a continued issue over the past 8 months. We haven't heard from him since the building failed on 10/31. And the building only failed because we asked questions of the inspector. Conveniently, Mr. McFate didn't show the inspector an issue area during the Skype inspection (yes, that's a thing now). We contacted the building manufacturer (Mueller) about some missing parts and the inspection failing issue, and turns out that while we paid Mr. McFate 75% (over $30K) thus far, his check to Mueller bounced for the building. We have also had workmanship issues that remain unresolved. Missing gutter pieces, every scored section of the concrete has cracks except for one small corner, big gaps at the top of the doors, and a post/joist that has caused the failure. Pics are included in this review. As of this posting, his ROC license is currently suspended due to lack of bond, so I would really move on if I were you. I am sorry we didn't.

    Sidewinder Custom Pools LLC
In short it was a fantastic experience! Larry was a pleasure to work with and everything was detailed, on time and done with extreme quality (emphasis here on extreme quality). When the project started Larry explained everything in very good detail. Needless to say I had no experience in pools and his honest insight and detail was very welcome. The planning stage was back and forth and Larry will let you take your time (this is important obviously since you cannot take out the pool once in). When the work started everyone was on time and on the day that Larry estimated at start of each phase. On our side we had some changes to the original agreed upon work as the project progressed and Larry had no problems working them in.
I had 3 major projects going at the same time and Larry was very flexible in working with the other two contractors. It is worth mentioning that it was Larry who recommended TLD Landscaping Services for my back yard and that worked out extremely well since they have a history of working together. TLD did an excellent job as well and I highly recommend this if you are doing the yard and pool at the same time since they will coordinate with each other and you need not worry about anything.
One important thing to note here is that Larry will give 100% attention to you project as if it were his backyard pool. There were things that I wouldn't have thought but Larry pointed them out and took care of them. In the grand scheme of things there are minor details that need to be taken care of and Larry will make sure the project is done fully and with quality.
The price will not be your everyday boxed pool price from the store. But it will guarantee that you will have quality work done and Larry's initial estimate comes with a lot of upgraded items and functionality. Sidewinder will provide you with quality work, and peace of mind (this was important to me since I had multiple projects at the same time and timing needed to be just right to coordinate among all involved), Once the pool is done you will also get exceptional customer service that is only a phone call or a text message away.
Finally a Thank you to Angie's list for helping me find Sidewinder. Larry was my first and only bid and I wouldn't have it any other way given how everything turned out.
Larry will keep to the original estimate/budget. On our project we ran over by about $5000 only because we had some upgrades done after the initial estimate was completed.

We were very impressed with the flooring that Jason showed us, but we ultimately decided to go with tile with narrow grout joints and an epoxy grout.  Price was not an issue, as Jason gave us a competitive price.  We just wish we had known about Jason before we began our initial renovation and we could have hired him to do our entire downstairs floor!  We wish Jason much success, and highly recommend him based on our contact with him.

I contacted John Raymond and Sons to come give me an estimate for my pergola post project. They were out within 2 days and I had the estimate 2 days after that. They also said they could do it before the date I needed to have it done.
They came early on a Friday morning. They removed the old wooden facade materials on the 4 pergola posts. Then they set up each post with 4 inch brick around the bottom of each post to keep the post off the cement where the water gathers. Then they wrapped each post with the necessary materials and applied cement. Then they textured the cement. Next, was coming back the following morning to prime each post and then painted the posts to match the color of the house.
The John Raymond team was very efficient and smooth working. They were careful not to damage my lawn and plants. And everything was cleaned up and all old material and construction materials were removed from my property.
Everyone in the crew was very polite and kept me informed of progress.
It was all completed well within the deadlines I had to have.
I am very satisfied with the work.

Mac and his team were great to work with, very professional and personable. They arrived a little late but their gps steered them in the wrong direction, but they were late by only 10 minutes or so. Once they started I never saw them take a break and considering it was approaching 100 degrees outside I was impressed. When the spa arrived and it was placed on the slab it fit perfectly! The pad was square and level. I have to say I was a little nervous at first but had nothing to worry about.
If you need concrete work done, you have to hire Mac. I will from now on. It was a great experience and Mac delivered what he promised and more.
