Door Installation reviews in San Tan Valley

Steel Advantage Security Doors & Gates
The door and installation is awful. The door and frame are both warped but the installer forced the install anyway with crooked screws and excessive use of caulk to fill in the massive gaps. The frame is warped 5/8". The installer put wood shims in the door frame and tried to cover with caulk in an attempt to hide the large gap created by the warped door. I ordered an oil rubbed bronze handle to match the doorbell and light in the entry. They installed a cheapy, used silver handle. They will not put an oil rubbed bronze handle because they state the company quit making them. The way they fabricate their door, only this one brand of door handle will fit so the only option is the cheap silver one they put on it. I told him this is a make/break for me and I was never asked if this was acceptable prior to installation. His response to me was "you bought the door" and "there's nothing we can do about the handle because they are not available anymore". He then offered me $70 for the handle but I can't buy one myself because no standard handle fits this door. Aside from the handle this door is a disaster. It is completely warped as is the frame. It should never have been installed. The installer clearly knew this door and frame were warped because of what he did to try and hide it. The fact the installer installed this door like it is tells me this company doesn't care about the quality or the customer and definitely doesn't respect the customers home. Once this door is removed I will have damage to repair. I asked them to take the door back and give me my money back and they said they'd take the door back but not return my money. The pictures will show that this "custom" door is anything but custom. Custom means it should fit seamlessly and look like it was made for this house. I am forced to file a complaint with the Contractor's Board because this company will not take the door back and refund my money.

Ordered over the holidays so I knew it would take some time to do.  Once scheduled, didn't take any time to change out old screen door for new one.  Adjusted HEAVY sliding door so it slides even better !!  Even matches existing trim of sliding door.

We spent $11,000 on a custom front door which over a month later still does not have glass inserts and has plywood.  The first glass inserts arrived damaged and we were told new ones would arrive within a week.  After a week, I called and they had not been ordered.  I was told it would be done right then and they would arrive shortly.  Many weeks and phone calls later, they reported the new ones arrived with one being made backwards.  They do not have any idea when the glass will be ready for install as they say they are at the mercy of their vendor.  We were told when we purchased the custom door that it is all done in house.  This however is not true.  They outsource the glass we chose for the door and claim to have no control over it and say they are at the mercy of the vendor. I received an email yesterday they have no ETA for the glass.  We have had plywood for our front door now for over a month even though they claim we are a VIP client.  I would highly recommend using another company if you are considering an iron door.  The level of customer service was fantastic on the sales side but the installation and management is most disappointing and unprofessional.

The start of the job went well with the estimate, ordering cabinets, etc. The first week of work went well with the demolition. Then in the 2nd week and onward they would not show up daily and when someone came it was for 3 or 4 hours only. This became bothersome.  Difficulties noted: they had a serious labor problem with people quitting and doing the work incorrectly. The back splash tile had to be redone 3 times, their shower door contracted company installed bathtub doors incorrectly and they had to be redone, the painting had to be redone as the wood surfaces were not scraped prior to painting. I only got prompt service when I became demanding that the job was done correctly, wouldn't take their excuses, and send daily letters to the the owner and foreman with punch list items. Unfortunately, I had to take off work to supervise the end of the project. The job took 6 weeks longer than estimated. Excellence noted: the electrician was superb, the plumber excellent, and Joe fixed tile that needed to be redone. The contractor was responsive but clearly juggling too many projects with griping customers. The house looks beautiful, but after 3 months post-completion, some concerns appear -  grout is cracking or coming out on some areas and paint touch ups are needed in several areas.  I think the owners and foremen have good intentions, but the the company has a serious labor problem and they have too many jobs they juggle. Would advise hiring someone else to do your remodeling who has a stable work crew, will adhere to the schedule, and does quality work the first time.

    MasterCraft Garage Door Service LLC
Service Agent called 90 minutes prior to appointment.  They were running early and asked if could he stop by now.  Sometimes my door was not opening all the way or when trying to close, would begin to close and then open again...acting if something was in its way. Service Agent arrived and got right to work - adjusted opener and olied all the rollers and door hinges.  Explained the life span of my current opener and advised I may be needing a new one the next time there is a problem.  Suggested I check MasterCraft website for options but did not push me into buying a unit now. I liked that!   Havent had any issues since. This is the second time I have used this company and when I do need that new opener, I will be sure to check their prices first !!

There may have been some settlement that caused the patio door to grind and was difficult to open and close. The contractor arrived earlier than expected (called before coming over). He communicated to me everything that was being done and why. The door had to be cut down a little to fit properly and leave enough space for the rollers to work properly. The new track is steel (not aluminum and also includes a 3 year warranty.
The door is very easy to open now and I have no issues with the door getting stuck or grinding. The contractor was able to complete this job within 2 hours.
I used this company based on the reviews and I believe they have lived up to their rating. I would recommend them to anyone.

Steel Advantage Security Doors & Gates
We became familiar with Eco Advantage from a recent Home Show at the new Stadium in Glendale. Eco Advantage had a booth at the show displaying their product line. We met the owner of the company, Woody, and he answered all of our questions and explained the purchase process. While at the show, we looked at other exhibitors and were drawn to the Eco Advantage products because of the obvious attention to quality of their products.
We made an appointment with Woody to come to our house for a No Obligation estimate. At the home appointment we were sold on Eco Advantage's doors and place an order for two doors (front and rear). After a several week waiting period for the doors to be manufactured, we got a call to schedule the installation.
The installer arrived on the agreed upon day on time and did an excellent job installing both doors and also instructing us in the proper care of our new doors. Not only were the doors high quality and exactly what we ordered, but the installation was perfect.
We are very happy that we chose Eco Advantage for our security doors for our newly constructed home.

They were very professional, responsive to emails and phone calls, and made it effortless on our side. We knew we needed a new front door, had a specific idea in mind and they were very able to meet our requests. The new front door was installed in one day, their installers were very courteous and the new door is even better than we imagined it would be. It has a screen inside the door so that when we want the outside air we just open the glass panel and can get cross ventilation. I love it so much more than having a door and a screen door. They did a great job. It was a good experience, and we are very happy with the results.

    Hale Pet Doors of Arizona
Our experience with them was very positive.  They came out really quickly and booked an appointment within the next week to install the dog door.  Since we had rescued our pet, they gave us a discount on the install.  They were very quick too.  The guy did the work really fast and also provided a good recommendation for somebody who installs dog runs.

My initial contact with this guy we were talking over the phone, after a few mins of conversing he barely wanted to hear me out about what i wanted done for my door project. It became a debate about what kind of doors we should use and then he hung up on me after I mentioned I used other contractors.
