    By and large, very well. Only the drum switch replacement didn't go, and that was because I had the wrong type motor. They isolated or fixed the problems with the outside lights. They're coming back to finish the problems with the lights and rewire them to code.

    Great! The electrician was great about communicating what he was doing, what decisions he needed me to make, what didn't need doing (the doorbell just needed a new battery). All is still in great working order. Clean work area.

    Arrived on time. They were very clean and professional They knew what they were doing and got to work immediately.   They picked up after themselves and were done in about 1 hour.  I thought they would have been here longer .  This is the third time we have had them do hook ups first with a wall mounted TV and then with a DVD .  They have always been professional and clean and efficient and always do the job correctly and if by chance something isn't quite right they leave a phone number where they can be contacted and they return immediatly to resolve any concerns.  At first we thought they might be a little costly but the job has always been done correctly and in a timely manner.  We would not consider having anyone else do these kinds of hook ups.

    I brought my lap top to the Geek Squad. Had to wait in line for a short time. Told the tech what was wrong with it.  He did some tests on it and said he could do a few things to try to make it better(it was very slow).  He said it would take about an hour so I left it and came back.  He did a virus scan and removed some unwated programs.  I didn't get charged a thing and my computer works so much better now.  A totally great experience.

    Everyone at the store is friendly, but I sure wish they'd accept "no thank you" the first time when they ask if I need help instead of continuing to hover. It's annoying when I'm trying to think and look at something. Very distracting.

    Job done was mostly acceptable (not tottally acceptable with some things left undone) but I don't believe the provider was the best choice I could have made. I chose the company based on the reviews but ended up disappointed. The owner, Steve, does the talking on the phone but does not show up on the job. He seems to be running an agency where he hires electricians as needed. The other Angie's list service people who are rated so highly are the ones you speak with on the phone and who come to do the job in my experience . I just don't trust this kind of service provider and won't be using them again to get the undone items finished. They charge by the hour and take a very long time to go get parts and that seems suspicious to me but maybe that's just my problem, you decide.

    Appointment made for a 10:00am on Saturday = first appointment of the day.  We arrived on time and dropped the vehicle.  We were told it would be about an hour and a half total.  It was 12:30pm when we got the call that he had taken the dash of the truck apart already, then discovered that there was a wiring component missing that goes from the stereo to the wiring harness. Seemed like he was doing the steps backward, and had taken far longer as well. He needed additional time to put the truck back together, and we made arrangements to order the missing piece, and we would bring the truck back for another appointment for the install. Second appointment was also on a Saturday.  We arrived on time, entry door on the back of the store was locked and we had to phone around to locate the technician (same guy as last time) to get the door opened.  Installation again took far over the allotted time.  We returned and the technician told us that the stereo did not support DVD** and he could not get the video to play.  I was not in the mood to argue that it stated on the radio's packaging and manual that DVDs were supported because we had no intent of watching DVDs in the truck.  I understand the higher install price was due to regulations that require the stereo to be grounded to the brake in order to prevent video from playing while the car is in motion - I knew that when I purchased the service.  But that should have been refunded to me when the technician failed at the installation.

    They had the unit for a week and called to say that the electronics were no in need of repair but the interior of the receiver was very dusty and the boards were oxidized. They said the cost of cleaning would be a total of $140. This seemed high to me but I agreed to have them do the work. They assured me it would be done in a day. When I picked up the unit, the person who waited on me said he did the work but couldn't give me any specifics on what exactly he did. I noted that the exterior of the unit was still very dusty. Since that was the case, when I got it home I took the cover off and the interior was still filty. The interior was covered with dust. There was a partial hand print from whoever opened it, but there was no evidence anything was done. In fact, dust is very detrimental to electronics and no professional service provider would ever return a componant to a customer in that condition after charging for service. Every time I spoke to the individual at this company I felt like he wasn't being truthful. I believe they plugged it in, it worked and they charged me $140 for doing virtually nothing. I made an attempt to speak to the business owner and did not receive a return phone call. I would not recommend the stereo doctor or stereo hospital to anyone who needs repair on vintage stereo equipment.
