Jamies Mobile Truck & Equipment Repair
After wasting $380 at a local diesel truck repair shop, Jamie came to my house on Sunday and saved the day on our annual Thanksgiving Rocky Point RV trip. I gave him the same description of the problem (over the phone) that I gave the Fleetwood Truck Repair place. He knew exactly what it was over the phone and had the replacement part on his truck. He removed the old part, installed the new part and I was on the road 20 minutes after he showed up. It is very apparent that he knows exactly what he is doing and is very experienced as a diesel truck mechanic. The bulk of my cost was due to his travel time on a Sunday, which I was happy to pay.

It was fabulous!  The overall price was nearly half of what other auto repair places were going to charge, plus we didn't have to pay to have it towed to a shop.  It also saved us time by being able to stay in the comfort of our home while the work was being done.  He was professional and friendly.  I highly recommend him and will be calling him for help in the future.

I noticed my car was sluggish and would decelerate quickly without applying brakes. Also I noticed a burning odor sometimes. I decided Id replace the brake pads myself but didn't have the time to do it so I made an appt with martin whom accommodated me and willing to install my parts I had purchased. I decided to have green valley automotive perform a full inspection but didn't tell them the issues I was having. Upon inspection martin showed me the problem without me even telling him and another issue that was easily resolved. I was impressed with the timeliness and work so far which I will update as necessary in the future. He was fair with pricing which I appreciate although this area is high priced but the value of service was great. Honest and reasonable, I will return.

Green Valley Automotive and Owner/Manager Martin Bringas

Is one of the best Automotive repair shops in the Sahuarita / Green Valley Area, they give great service with high marks for customer relations, repair work with quality, a fix it right the first time attitude, Technicians that care about your vehicle and a owner / manager that shows you what your vehicle needs if something is wrong, he does it with a smile and concern for you and your car. He doesn't try to oversell you repairs or sell you something your vehicle doesn't need.

The shop is very clean and will kept, parking is easy in and out, the coffee is fresh and very good. I have had my two vehicles serviced and repair there in the last few months, You will be hard pressed to find a better repair shop in area.

I would give them a high score of 10 out of 10, I look forward to my next repair visit or oil change service at Green Valley Automotive.

Everything was beyond my expectation, I had quotes from competing shops that were as high as 2.6x. Jackie, the owner is extremely honest, fosters an environment as such, and runs a shop that communicates in a timely manner AND all believe in the value of work and honesty. I will miss the shop if I ever move out of AZ.

I contacted several of the auto glass replacement shops I found on Angie's List. They all quoted around $300 to replace my windshield. When Northwest quoted $205 I hired them. They have very low overhead, don't have a shop They come to your house. So, they are able to do the work for less than others, even others who come to your house.

My car would not start on 3 separate occasions.  AAA came and jump started the car.  I went to a local auto store where the battery was checked and it was getting a good charge.  After 2 more times of the car not starting, once at the food bank and the other at my garage at home, I decided that something was going on.   I looked on Angies list and found GV automotive.  I took my car to that shop and explained my problem.  They figured out why it would not start in a short period of time.  I needed a new starter and battery.  They did the work and I was extremely pleased with how they finally figured out what the problem was.

    The Specialists
I bought 2 Groupons to have window tinting done on my vehicle at The Specialists. When I called to set an appointment to have the work done I wanted to do both cars on the same day one after the other so that my wife and I could run some errands etc. while the work was being done. They were able to accommodate our request without a problem.
When we arrived at the shop we were greeted and the sales person explained our options as far as different film quality and advantages. He seemed very knowledgeable and did not simply try to push us toward the most expensive option.
We chose the basic film for our older car and an upgraded film for our newer vehicle based on recommendations from the sales guy.
We dropped off the first vehicle and left to do some shopping. The guy gave us a call to let us know the first car was done and we went and dropped off the second one. The work done on the first vehicle (the older one with the basic film installed) seemed excellent. I was amazed at how nice the work and the vehicle looked.
When we came back a couple of hours later to pick up the second vehicle we found that they had just started on it. We expected that it would be done by then but understood that he had other work being done that day and it still would be done by the time he originally had told us. I wound up having to wait about 1-1/2 hours for the second vehicle but, again, they had not promised anything different.
The work done on the second vehicle was again exceptional and I am very happy with the installation. They even gave me a free can of their special window cleaning stuff since I had to wait for the second vehicle.
Again, the staff was very professional and the work was done very well.

    Safelite AutoGlass
I have several experiences with this company, most of them bad. On one occasion the technician broke my windshield wiper and didn't bother to tell me. It happened to rain on my way home, that's how I found out.
The last time I used their service to repair a star, I had changed job locations and I gave the person on the phone my new information. The technician didn't bother to check that, instead he showed up at my old job location and called my old phone number, then left because he got no response.
I ended up taking the car in to one of the service locations instead of relying on the mobile repair person. The people there were very nice and I thought they did a good job. But, 2 months later I had to replace the windshield on a car that is not even a year old, because the star turned into a 2 foot crack across the windshield.
I don't care how nice people are, if they don't do good work, I won't use them again. Needless to say, they were not the company I used to replace my windshield.

    Hickey Automotive
One morning, after my wife pulled the car out of the garage, I noticed a puddle of antifreeze where her car was. I took the car to a garage in Vail, near where I work, and had an oil change and inspection. I was told that the antifreeze probably came from the water pump. That made sense, since the car had over 130k miles and no major work done. I got an estimate from them of almost $1200 to replace the timing belt and water pump. The timing belt was due to be replaced at 100k miles.
I thought that the initial estimate sounded a little high, so I called Hickey Automotive to get an estimate on the same services from the competitor. They quoted me $625 and I immediately scheduled an appointment. The women behind the service counter were very courteous through out the time the car was being serviced.
I dropped my car off on a Friday morning, expecting to pick it up that evening. The original work was completed in that time frame. When they started the car after the work was complete they found a leak in the thermostat housing, the thermostat and gasket were replaced. The car was started again and another leak was found, this time in a pipe on the radiator that goes to the engine block. The part had to be ordered from a dealer and wasn't delivered until Tuesday morning. In the mean time, the mechanic didn't like the brand of water pump that was initially used, so he swapped it out with a brand that he liked better. The part from the dealer was missing an o-ring and one couldn't be found in the area that would work. The o-ring had to be picked up late on Tuesday from a dealer in Tucson. The mechanic stayed after hours on Tuesday to make sure we could pick the car up that evening. When we picked the car up the mechanic showed us the corrosion in the pipe from the radiator that caused the extended repair time.
During the whole time of the service, we were kept up to date on the work being done and the issues that surfaced and needed to be addressed. The service was great. I would not hesitate to take my vehicles to Hickey Automotive for future services.
