  • We started looking for property in the Prescott area a year ago but got serious in February of this year. We choose Cindi LaSalle-Shanks because of the great reviews on Angie's List. Cindi is a real gem! Because we weren't sure if we wanted to purchase property to build on or an existing home we had a long list of possibilities. She met us early on day 1 and divided our list into quadrants. Then we set off on 2 all-day adventures. She served as travel guide along the route and willingly took her jeep on roads (I use that term loosely) that had us all laughing. We ended up making an offer on (you guessed it) the very first place we looked at! From that point, Cindi led us step by step through the purchase. Our escrow closed on May 16th! We couldn't be happier with Cindi's professionalism and personal service as our realtor! Her years of experience really shows. Hands down, we would recommend Cindi LaSalle-Shanks from Keller Williams, Prescott, AZ to any and all who are looking to buy in the Prescott area.

  • Terri Porter came highly recommended from one of our neighbors.  Our first impression was excellent and we signed with her at the close of the meeting.  She helped arrange for home repair work, detailing of the home interior and set up of the home warranty.  Photos were taken and the MLS was established.  We left the house with Terri and completed our move to Arizona.  It was after this that things started downhill.

    I didn't like the layout of the MLS, because it didn't emphasize the separate shop on the property.  I discussed this issue with Terri and even emailed suggestions on how to improve the listing.  Terri assured me she would make the requested changes to the listing, but never followed through.  After several open houses, there were no offers on our home.  It was at this point that Terri became very difficult to almost impossible to contact.  I would leave voice mail, text and even email for Terri with hardly any response.  Sometimes it would take well over a week to get a response.

    After several months, another agent contacted me to say that our listing with Terri had expired.  He stated that he had been by the house and it appeared to have been neglected.  The house was dirty, lights left on and the A/C had been turned down to 60 degrees and left running.  The utility bills confirmed his story.  It became obvious that Terri had given up on selling the house.  I was finally able to contact her and she apologized for the situation, but her main concern was if I would relist with her.  I reluctantly told her I would, but ONLY if she did it my way!  She finally agreed and I relisted.

    I had her rewrite the MLS with the main emphasis on the shop with interior photos.  She had the home priced well above the comps, so I had her lower the price to fit the neighborhood.  I also insisted that I review everything before anything was posted, which she did.  The house was listed the way I wanted it done and it sold in two hours.

    Here's an agent with 16 years experience and I (A Novice) had to tell her how to sell my house.  What frustrates me is that she still got her full commission for this kind of work.

    I wouldn't recommend her for any real estate transaction.

  • I was shocked by the tenant treatment of Wayne Backus who was rude and condescending while we were trying to just get out electric outlets functional. His assistant, Crystal Delgado, was very helpful and supportive but under his rule for any decisions.

  • In November we visited Prescott, AZ to consider moving there. We had contacted Cheri Henderson before our trip and gotten her advice on purchasing a home in the area. She also recommended a mortgage broker in the area with whom we met and obtained a loan pre-qualification.
    We then met with Cheri and spent two days looking at homes we had found on-line and others she recommended. She introduced us to the area and gave a driving tour, viewing homes along the way. She did an excellent job of familiarizing us with the Prescott area and discussing the types and locations of homes available.
    We found a home we wanted and Cheri promptly contacted the listing agent and prepared our offer. The offer was drawn up on Sunday night, presented first thing on Monday and accepted by noon that day. We met with Cheri later in the day to finalize the details of the 30-day closing process as we were leaving Arizona the next day. She recommended a title company and made the initial contact for us. We ultimately arranged our mortgage with the broker she had recommended.
    Cheri shepherded the entire closing process in our absence, coordinating with the mortgage broker, title company, seller's agent, our insurance broker, the home inspectors, and the home appraiser. She personally conducted all house visits and the closing on our behalf and maintained excellent communication on almost a daily basis. We did not have to return to Arizona at any time, and every step of the closing went very smoothly. This is the 7th home I've purchased and I've never had any closing go nearly as smoothly as this one, and I give full credit to Cheri for that. There were no missteps or miscommunications; Cheri acted and performed very professionally at all times and always kept our interests uppermost. It was a pleasure working with someone as experienced and competent as Cheri and we recommend her without any hesitation.

  • These ladies know how to run a real estate agency. Every interaction was professional, efficient and competent; down to every detail from our initial search to the completion of the contract and our move-in. 



    My husband accepted a job in Prescott and so I began a web search from Albuquerque to get an idea of the rental market in Prescott. Our interaction with Journey, from their website to actually visiting properties, was positive from the very beginning. Sharon, at the front desk, is also a licensed real estate agent and had a checklist of everything to be done once we found the house we wanted to rent. The process was straightforward and efficient. Journey was hands-down the most professional group we worked with while house hunting in Prescott. If we do decide to buy in Prescott when our lease ends, we will certainly work with the ladies at Journey. If not, we will continue to rent from them.



    I should also say that they also provided the contact for a mover (Quality Movers 928-710-5081), to move our belongings from the 24' rental truck to our rental home. Dominic and a mover-buddy did the entire job in 2 1/2 hours for just $100. With rates that good, tipping is a pleasure.

  • Learned of Dave from a friend in 2011 and visited Prescott in May.  Dave gave us pointers on area to investigate.  Came back in September 2011 and visited a number of homes to see what was available.  Kept in touch with Dave and returned in April 2012.  Again toured a number of homes.  Dave set up a internet application based on our area, type of home and other criteria.  Monitored our "internet cart" and returned in September 2012 to again see homes and learn more about the real estate market in Prescott. Returned to Prescott in March 2013 and found our dream home.
