  • I went to him for about 6 months and all went well. He's not a great diagnostician but he does order a ton of tests. I had an appointment in July and on my way over, my car brakes failed. I had to cancel the appointment in favor of going to the mechanics. When I called to reschedule I was told I couldn't see him until August 17. No matter what I said as to how I was in pain and needed to see him, his staff would not budge. When I asked to speak to him on the phone I was told, "He doesn't talk to patients on the phone". I took the appointment and was forced to call my gastrointerologist in L.A. to discuss my situation. He suggested I come to L.A. to have an endoscopy/colonoscopy, which I did. When it came time for my appointment, I contacted his office and cancelled and wrote him a 2 page letter which I faxed over. I have not heard from anyone in his office since. I was also informed he's not really an internist but an infectious disease doctor.

  • I moved to Prescott in 2014 and found it almost impossible to get a primary care physician. The first physician I had was OK when I was healthy but abandoned me whe I broke my neck and needed help to recover. My nurse from Granite Mountain Home Health Care suggested Dr. Purush. The first time I entered the waiting room it was obvious that this was a caring place that paid attention to detail. Everyone on Dr. Purushs' staff is wonderful and works as a team. I feel that Dr. Purush is a careful and caring physician. It took my bad luck to find him. I am a Vietnam Vet and Dr. Purush takes his time to care for Vets which is so important to our community and country. All your needs are quickly taken care of in this place of healing.

  • I gave a B on availability since a prospective new patient is required to fill out a new patient form, submit it for review, and then wait to see if accepted.  While this may sound a bit off putting, it actually is very helpful in the long run in being able to see Dr Purush in a timely manner because he is able to manage his patient load more effectively.
Once we were accepted, we were able to set up our initial appointment very quickly.  We were greeted by very friendly and competent staff in his comfortable waiting room.  Dr Purush and his nurse kept to the appointment schedule.  Dr Purush is very friendly, listens intently, is a board certified internist and former ER doctor trained in Massachusetts at highly regarded institutions.  My husband and I were pleased with all aspects of our exam and followup care.  We feel that we are in good hands at Dr Purush's office.

  • Dr. Jetly spent quality time with me, I wasn't just a number. He asked me many questions and provided a thorough exam. When he asked me if I had any questions, it was evident he was sincere and not just going through the motions.  I would highly recommend.

  • She was very calm. My husband liked her. She managed to get out of the surgery place before I had a chance to talk to her. But they did leave a nurse that I talked to. Everything was fine except that it took about three weeks to get the results. This was before the holidays. Because of the holidays, it took about three weeks to get the results. I'm not sure that's her problem. I could have called the office. She handled everything and seemed to do a very good job. The reason she was recommended by our internist was because she was relatively easy to get in to see. The availability was good. Everything was good. I wouldn’t use her again in the future; my husband would.

  • My husband and I had just moved to Prescott from Chicago and needed to find a cardiologist.  After looking at reviews in various online sources for Dr Ha, we called his office to make an appt.  We called in mid December and wanted an appt in early January.  We were able to get 2 appointments back-to-back during the 2nd week of January (which was a good sign to us).  We were dreading how long it might be before getting in to see him since we were having so much trouble finding a cardiologist that would take new patients.  The office mailed us each a health history package that we were asked to fill out and return as soon as possible.  It also included a release so that they could get our records from our prior cardiologists before our first appointment.  We filled out the info as soon as we got the packets and dropped them off in person along with the releases.
During our appointment, Dr Ha was very thorough.  He had reviewed our records and came ready to ask us a bunch of questions.  He wrote on a pad of paper all the key points we discussed as well as all recommendations/suggestions he had for us and then gave us a copy.  He entered some follow-up routine tests for my husband on his computer and we were given a paper copy of the scripts to take with us.  Dr Ha spent quite a bit of time with each of us and answered all our questions.  He is a younger doctor (which we liked) and seems to be very knowledgeable.  My husband had been seeing the same cardiologist for over 30 years back in Chicago so he was very nervous about getting a new doctor.  After seeing Dr Ha, we both felt very comfortable with him.  So far, his office has been very prompt in getting back to us with test results (e.g., INR results).
When we ended up seeing our new PCP (primary care physician)  the next day, we told her we had seen Dr Ha the day before and she had nothing but great things to say about him too.

  • We recently moved to Prescott, AZ from Chicago and needed to find all new doctors. We called Dr Metzger based on Angie's List reviews and other online reviews.  When we first called to make an appointment, the office person told us we needed to come in and fill out a health history package (which turned out to be quite large) and then Dr Metzger would review it and let us know if she'd accept us as patients.  We felt like we were "applying" for a doctor (which we had never experienced before) but because we were having so much trouble finding a PCP (a lot were not taking new patients), we went ahead and filled out the package.  A few weeks later, we received a call that Dr Metzger had accepted us both so we made appointments for our annual physicals.
Dr Metzger is a younger doctor (which we liked) and seemed very professional and thorough.  We didn't have any urgent issues but we had been on-the-road traveling for a year and hadn't seen any doctors in a year.  We wanted to get a thorough physical and discuss our health histories and ask her some specific questions.  My husband and I both went through our health histories with her and she ordered a few extra blood tests to make sure everything was good with both of us.  She is very "tech savvy" (which we like).  She brought her laptop into the room with her and took notes during our appointments, reviewed notes (online) from the cardiologist (in the same network) we had seen the day before, talked to us about the information on our "applications", entered the scripts for the blood work online right there, entered a prescription refill online right there, and suggested some follow-ups.  She also gave us some referrals for other doctors we needed which we had not been able to find (again, she entered the referrals right there in the computer).  We had also not had our flu shot yet so she gave us those too.  She spent quite a bit of time with each of us and answered all our questions so we felt she really listened to us.  We also asked her what her schedule was like so that if in the future we had an emergency and needed to see her right away, how long would it take to get in to see her.  She said she usually leaves some free time in each day's schedule to accommodate emergencies so depending on the day, we could probably get in that day or the next.  We were happy to hear that.
When we checked out, we got paper copies of all the scripts and referrals she had entered online.  All had been electronically forwarded to the providers and she said to expect calls within a day or two (and in most cases, we did).  Her office also has a patient portal which allows you to get all your test results and other info online (which is great).  As soon as all the blood tests were complete, the results were posted to our patient portals.  It gave us a chance to look at them prior to our follow up visit so that we could ask questions about anything that wasn't in the normal range.
At my follow-up appt in February, she had asked me a question which I could not answer so when I got home, I looked up some information in my files and sent her the information via a secure email in the patient portal.  The next day I had a response from her nurse letting me know what I should do.  I thought that was very punctual!
My only issue was when we got our bill, we noticed an outrageous price for the flu shot ($150 for the 2 of us including the cost of the shot and an "administration" fee).  Since we had the follow-up appt scheduled with her in a few weeks, we figured we'd ask her about the cost then.  Since our insurance doesn't cover flu shots, if we had known it was going to be that expensive, we would have gone to Walgreens or CVS or someplace like that.  When we had our follow-up appt, we did ask her about it and she said she agreed that seemed high and to talk to the billing person up front which we did.  We are still waiting to hear back (it's been a week).  This is the reason for the "B" on billing.

  • He is an older man, and he is an old fashioned doctor. He is extremely thorough. I like the fact that he picks up on things, he takes a holistic view, and advises on how to change your lifestyle or keep it as it is. He looked at the history of my parents, and decided to check on several things, and discovered that I have some things that I wasn't aware of. The staff is the most cheerful, professional, and punctual. I have been around to a lot of doctors practices, and these guys have a well run office, and good hours. They are fine. If there is an issue in the billing, they fix it right away, and I don't have further problems.

  • They also gave me an echocardiogram. They're nice people. It's a good organization. Dr. Douglas Rothrock is very nice and very personable. He's also very knowledgeable. They're specialists, so they're pretty busy, but I got in within three weeks. I just moved to the area, so I am a new patient. The office environment is nice. It's appealing to the eye. The staff is very friendly.

  • She is wonderful and extremely caring. She has got me doing things no other doctors got me to do. She is doing wonders with my diabetes. She is a boutique doctor and it is a peaceful and wonderful office.
