What a great find. What we had done was fairly minimal but what they do is major. This is a family run business of true professionals. They do furniture refinishing but they showed us some of the work they do including hand carvings to fill in missing parts on a piece of furniture. The family can refinish and actually make hand made instruments. Their work is amazing. They were very friendly and wonderful to work with. My husband walked in at first and said and quot;I smell craftsmanshipand quot;. The address listed is wrong though....they are on 2nd Ave in Prescott valley behind Ace Hardware.

    Allegiant Van Lines
I contacted Allegiant back in November of 2012.  I spoke with an
individual who was the sales person for Alligiant Van Lines his name was
Zack.  Zack, as all sales people was very helpful and even offered a
Veterans Discount of 7.50 % on the contract amount.  So we set up a time
for the furniture to be picked up. I also advised Zack that I wanted
the full coverage insurance package. Zack gave me a price for everything
based upon weight and inurance and stated that he needed a deposit by
electronic check and that the balance would be do on delivery of the
furniture in the form of credit card or money order.  I sent allegiant
    the original amount requested.
about two weeks prior to the
actual pick up date , I received a call from a man named Julian who was
the so called Quality Control person for allegiant..  Julian stated that
he needed to go over the furniture list with me as he needed to provide
enough room on his truck.  so I went over all the furniture with him
that I had previously gone over with Zack.  I advised both individuals
that I had a Piano to move.  upon completing this furniture review with
julian he stated that it would be more weight and that he would need an
additional deposit or else he would not be able to provide an adequate
truck for the move.  this was now just two weeks prior to the move so
they had me over a barrel.  I sent him the requested deposit as I had no
other choice with just two weeks left.
On the day prior to the
pick up , i received a call from someone at Allegiant who stated that
my movers would be  arrive sometime between 8am and 10 am on the morning
of my move.  the movers did not arrive until 2pm.  There were 4 men who
were doing the moving.  one of thee men was named Alex and he was
supposedly the big Honcho of the group.  he came into the house with a
handful of contracts, disclosures, packing lists, costs for all kinds of
extras.  These had to be signed, according to him before the first item
could be loaded onto their Ryder rent a truck.  Again I was obviously
in a position where i was forced to sign all of these documents.  Alex
stated that the Piano would cost an additional $750 to pack as it was a
specialty item.  mirrors would cost extra and so would two china
cabinets.  I ad vised Alex that according to Julian the Cabinets and
Mirrors would not be extra as he had agreed to do these at no additional
cost.  I also told alex that both Julian and Zack were aware of the
piano. so there should be no additional cost for that as well as they
had never disclosed an additional charge for this.
    Alex spent
most of his time on the phone stuck in his ear and did not supervise any
of the movers or the packing of the large articles
    I had
attempted to call Julian, and Zack earlier in the morning to determine
the arrival time of the movers.  Neither answered their phone and
neither bothered to return my calls even after having left messages.
these guys were finished and all was on the vehicle, Alex stated that
he needed more money as an additional deposit and that the balance would
be due when he arrived in Florida with our furniture.  Again.\, between
a rock and a hard place I gave them an .additional deposit.
to my original agreement with Zack and Julian, my furniture was to be
picked up on the 21st and delivered to Florida on the 28th of January.
large semi tractor trailer rig showed up at my house on the 29th, one
day late.  I new instantly that all my furniture, had been reloaded onto
this truck so that they could make multiple deliveries.  The driver
showed up with one helper who was could not even speak English as he was
from Afghanistan or one of those places. They presented me with a new
bill which was at least another three thousand dollars more.  The driver
was the best part of this whole deal as he had been screwed over by
this company already.  I advised the driver an American who could
understand and speak English that i was not going to pay this kind of
money as it was nowhere close to the amount that it should have been.  I
showed him the original contract and explained that
    there was an
origination feed of $450 where the contract stated $100, i showed him
where i was to receive a 7.5% discount and where that had not been added
in.  I showed the driver where someone had arbitrarily added another
figure of 400$ for some other item that had already been covered.
driver said that he would do what was right and unload my furniture.
The assistant from a foreign country immediately got on the phone and
called his supervisor.  this assistant in his poor broken Arabic/English
told the driver not to unload anything but to take it to a warehouse
where they would store the furniture at an additional cost to me until
such time as the payment was made'.
    The driver told the assistant
that he was going to unload the furniture regardless as he could see the
errors on the bill and believed it was the right thing to do.
My wife and i both tried numerous times to contact, Zack, and Julian again no results or return calls.
meantime, I helped unload some of the boxes and furniture as there were
only the two of them to do this and i could see that this was going to
be a long drawn out affair.  The power tailgate on the trailer did not
want to work as the batteries were dead so i also hooked up a battery
charger to get some juice to the power lift. The assistant spent some
time on the phone talking to his boss and we ultimately received a call
from an individual name Brian who threatened us repeatedly about taking
the furniture to a warehouse.  I advised this guy that the furniture was
being unloaded as we spoke.  he then called the driver to tell him to
stop unloading and the driver responded to him saying that he was going
to do what was right and that he could see that the bill was
make this horrifying story short.  the furniture was unloaded in a two
day event.  The Piano legs had been broken off, there was damage on one
of the china cabinets and a very expensive mirror never showed up.  we
paid the driver what we calculated to be the proper amount with an
additional $100 thrown in.  We paid the driver some money in cash as a
tip for doing the right thing.
My wife contacted Brian about the
damages and the insurance coverage, and was advised by Brian that it
would be investigated and would take 4 months before they would reach a
decision about the outcome of the claim.
    All the items Damaged were
packed by the movers and while there should be no problem and the
insurance should be settled, I am not going to hold my breath, will
probably need to contact an attorney before all is said and done.

    The RoomStore Furniture Store
The RoomStore and ndash; Furniture Store came and set-up everything for us. They're very good. They were pretty helpful when we went to the store. They were anxious to show us what we needed rather than what they wanted to show us.

Svoboda's Custom Furniture Refinishing And Repair
An antique bookcase, desk and two chairs were beautifully repaired and refinished. The surface of the mahogany, cherry and maple pieces shows the grain and looks like satin! This couple and family are very professional and courteous. They have actually refinished several pieces of our furniture including an oak organ top which has turned out to be quite a conversation topic in our house. This had been in a damp shed in southern California for at least 20 years and was in poor condition. It is absolutely gorgeous! I would like to have our 60 year-old piano refinished which my mother painted white of all things. It is next on the list. I extend my appreciation to the members of this excellent company.

They were able to repair and restore the piece so the damage is not visible. Work was professional, reasonably priced and done within the estimated time frame. Very positive experience.
