Not trustworthy. Overpaid on a faulty ring. I’ve never felt so swindled by a business of any sort, let alone one claiming to be Christian. The diamond in the engagement ring I purchased came loose within the first month of getting engaged. It fell out completely not six months in. Their response: “well, that’s what you get with a four-prong setting,” as though it was my choice of stone and ring rather than the product they offer that’s the issue. Come to find out, after speaking with a different jeweler, I was sold a setting that was not meant for an oval diamond. After this, I half expected to find out the diamond I bought was made of glass... If you’re looking for an engagement ring, or jewelry of any kind, do yourself a favor and go with the friend in the diamond business, rather than a sneaky wolf in sheep’s clothing.

    Mill Avenue Jewelers
Mill Avenue apparently uses a subcontractor to perform watch repairs, but Cody Cooper kept himself informed of the progress of the repair and was always able to tell me what was going on with it when I called. The repair took about a month because of difficulties in locating replacement parts. When the storage battery was replaced the watch still did not function and it was determined that a capacitor also had to be replaced. Since the repair work was done, the watch has functioned perfectly. At one point during the process, I asked Cody if if would make more sense simply to replace the watch. He provided good advice that it a well-made watch with better parts than current watches and had held its value over the years. When it came time to pay for repairs, Cody said that he was just charging me what his subcontractor charged for the parts and the work (no markup). Even though watch repair is not the main focus of his business, Cody still does his best to provide good service and ensure that customers will return for their jewelry needs.

The first ring was done perfectly. After assessing the second ring, which I had just bought, Cody refused to resize the ring due to its design. He didn't think the stones would remain secure in the setting. After looking at what he wasworried about, I agreed and returned the ring. Cody was able to make me a beautiful ring along the same lines but with stones in a more secure setting and at the same price point. Cody was professional and informative and I would recommend him for any jewelry needs.

Extremely pleased. I get compliments often. I had then take the seven diamonds our of my wedding ring that was 30 years ago and had it redesigned to a much more contemporary setting. Plus, I had them add my birthstone (sapphire). It took 4-months due to a couple of delays, but in the end-----it was worth the wait. Thank you Daniel for your charm and customer service. In addition, I had then size my grandmother's wedding ring that I wear on my right hand. $39

To continue wearing 3 Tiffany's celebration bands that make up my wedding ring, I needed to have them enlarged a full size each. Tiffany's said it couldn't be done. The rings are all different with intricate designs and small diamonds set in platinum all the way around the bands. Cody Cooper said it could be done and he delivered! The creativity and craftsmanship with which he added the metal and small stones seamlessly following each band's pattern has given me 3 beautiful rings that I will continue to enjoy for years! If you have jewelry that you need altered, don't hesitate to contact Mill Avenue Jewelers. I am so glad that I did.

We initially contacted Berning's to perform a repair on a broken sterling silver necklace based upon feedback on Angie's List. After examining the necklace they expressed concern that they wouldn't be able to perform the job as well as another jeweler with more experience dealing with the material, and referred us to another vendor (who performed the job wonderfully). We were impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the shop and, when my (then) fianc and I decided to get married, contacted Bernings again to design her wedding ring. My wife had purchased a ring on the internet with a decent-sized diamond and aquamarines (my birthstone) at a discount rate simply to obtain the stones, and then researched different design styles and techniques for wedding rings to get an idea of what she wanted. Using these stones, and our thoroughly amateur ideas, directions and specifications, Zach came up with a ring that, in the end, quite literally took her breath away. Throughout the process, Zach kept us informed of what stage of design and production the ring was in, and at one point recommended a slight change to highlight the stones to a greater degree (which, again, was spot-on and turned out beautifully). The final price of the work came out to just under his initial estimate and the ring was finished/delivered exactly on time. I hesitate to talk about this, because I don't want to suggest the work quality was poor, it was definitely excellent work, but it should be mentioned, purely to give a potential client an idea of the level of customer service provided, that during our honeymoon, one of the smaller aquamarine stones slipped out of the ring and was lost. When we returned we contacted Zach and he immediately took care of the ring, without hesitation and without any charge. Zach apologized (although he did not personally build the ring) and gave us his personal cell phone number to call if the repair took any longer than quoted. How often does a service provider stand behind their work so thoroughly as to give a client a phone number where they can be reached at any time of day? In conclusion, my wife and I feel as though we've found a personal jeweler and at this point wouldn't consider buying from anywhere else, even if it means paying substantially more (which, by the way, isn't likely... Bernings prices for their services and goods are more than competitive).
