Appliance Repair reviews in Peoria

  • Steve (the owner of Elite Appliance Repair) and Kevin arrived within the scheduled time window, though they had called ahead of time and said they could be a little late. They very quickly diagnosed the problems with our 14-year old washer (two circuit boards and a support strut) and recommended that given its age, we consider buying a new unit. Because they found the problem so quickly, they even waived the normal diagnostic fee, simply asking that we call them in the future! Simply can't get any better response and service!

  • Very quick to send someone out to check on the unit. Once it was determined that the unit needed replaced, they completed the replacement in just a few days. James communicated all the way through the process.

  • Great! Not exactly, as the freezer was toast, but the service was great. Affordable Appliance told me they could install a part that 'might' work, but it was a last ditch effort to save the freezer. Everything went fine with the instillation but it didn't save the freezer. They were awesome and immediately refunded me the cost of the part and I was very happy with that resolution.

  • Said that we needed a new compressor. No detailed estimate was given. New compressor online from the manufacturer was $100. When asked how much to just install and recharge, the company never responded back. They just charged me $80 and didn't wantvto really do any repairs.

  • I highly recommend Apple Plumbing and their technician Tom. I had a great experience from the initial call to the work performed. Quick response, quality work and a great price. If you need a plumber look no further call Apple Plumbing. They are awesome!

  • Our repair technician Jim actually arrived a few minutes early. He was very knowledgeable and thorough. He gave us the most cost effective options and we were very pleased with his work and professionalism. We were also able to obtain same day service just a few hours after calling. We were very impressed and would definitely hire again.

  • Jeff not only repaired the IR board, but he also hooked up my CD player that had not worked for several years. He took his time to reconnect it after others had hooked it up incorrectly. He did this out of the kindness of is heart. I will always call him for any future needs.

  • Dino's was assigned the service call for my mother by Maytag under warranty. Luis was the tech. He was to arrive between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon. He called that morning and said he would arrive between 10:30 and 12:30, which was appreciated. He called a little after noon and said he was about a mile away but had one more call to make before he would get to her house. She told him that based on his call earlier saying he would be there by 12:30, so could he please make her next as she had made other commitments. He agreed and was there within 10 minutes. He took a look at the blue stain inside the dryer and told her it was blue paint or nail polish. She told him that there had been no blue paint or nail polish in her house or on her clothes, nor any other color of paint. She said she had dried blue jeans and could that be it and he ignored her and kept saying it was paint. She said if it WAS paint, then it came that way from Maytag/Home Depot. He ignored her. He said nothing he could do, that she would need to clean it herself. My mother is 83 years old, and asked if he could try to remove it. He spent 5 or so minutes scratching it with his fingernail and then gave up and started writing up his report. She asked that he not put in the report that it was paint of any kind, knowing that it couldn't have been paint from anything she had dried or even had near the dryer. She was concerned that it could affect her warranty and knew it wasn't accurate. He told her "I can write anything I want in my report." in an extremely hostile manner. She said, "I don't want to sign off if you put that it's paint." He then turned his back on her, walked out and without another word, left. We have contacted Maytag and submitted our displeasure that this is the quality of contractor they are using for warranty work in the Phoenix area. They have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, many horrible online reviews, including here at Angie's List and on Yelp. We never would have used this company on our own, and trusted Maytag to assign the work to a reputable company. I called Dino's to request that they provide the paperwork from the service call, since Luis left without providing the report. Dino was rude to me on the phone, telling me that the tech spent 45 minutes at my mother's house cleaning out the dryer (a lie) and that this was over and above what they do, that they do not do cleaning. He stated that she was uncooperative and that he would not provide the paperwork. This is the owner of the company. He was not in any way open to hearing that his tech may have been in the wrong, or treated a customer badly. Be very careful using this company. If you have warranty work and this company is assigned to you, be aware that you can request they not be sent and another company be assigned the work. Maytag told me that they accommodate these requests and have another contractor in the area, and if they can't come they will make arrangements for another contractor. If you do have a bad experience with Dino's, please report it to the company that assigned them so that they can review their contract with a company of this horrible quality.

  • Not good at all. It took 5 visits (different technicians). 3 parts delivered all incorrect (2 identical parts, both incorrect, on the same day. On the 5th visit the technician finally fixed the problem. Each tech. expected payment. Then after all was finished and completed. We received a bill from a collection agency. I called several Sears numbers, but could not get a resolution. I was very upset with the service and will not use Sears again The first visit was June 27th Job completed August 17

  • Robert came over in about an hour after I called him yesterday. He found the problem and fixed it quickly. He also cleaned the inner works. I washed a load today and it ran perfectly. This is the first time I have ever had prompt same day service.
