AWe had been using another optometrist & optician. After my wife had eye surgery she went to the other optometrist who said he could not provide a correction for her left eye which had the surgery. During a follow-up visit to the surgeon in Tucson we had the optometrist in that office test her eyes and write a new prescription. So we looked for a new optician (and optometrist) in our area. After reading reviews, websites, and phone calls, we decided to try Hill's Optical. We were helped by Thomas Hill who is third generation of the family. He is quite young and as we later found out has just recently finished his apprenticeship. However, he is extremely knowledgeable and attentive to details. He did a very thorough job of first evaluating her current glasses, measuring, checking if the new prescription made sense, and fitting the new frames and lenses. Because her correction is very comples, the glasses could not be made immidiately. Less than a week later we go a call that the glasses were ready. When we went in to the store, Robert Hill (middle generation) helped us with the final fitting. Due largely to their attention to detail, my wife's glasses are the best she has had in years.

AMatthew was originally hired to assist my nephew in preperation for the Parochial High School Admissions exam. Building a relationship with Matthew was the best thing for my nephew. Matthew was very safe going into this situation creating a trusting a environment. Not knowing what he was walking into, Matthew quickly learned that my nephew’s academic inabilities were far more important than preparing for an high school entrance exam. Immediately Matthew begin working on creating a plan of action. He is very patient, yet intentional about holding my nephew accountable. Moreover, he follows up and send reminders for my nephew (I.e. don’t forget to bring your book home from school, remember to work on your math). Although we have a long way to go, it’s safe to say that we are seeing some progress. Thanks Matthew.

AAt first I was a little hesitant being I have always gone to the office of an eye Dr. instead of online. I can’t say enough good things about ReplaceAlens. Alex & team didn’t hesitate to do whatever was needed to make be a believer & THEY WERE AWESOME! Alex told me what they would do & leave the results up to me. I had a very nice pair of eye frames I hated to part with, They explained the process in a very easy way that I could understand. I basically forgot about my glasses. They came in the mail today. I put them on & was BLOWN AWAY! My vision is perfect & I mean PERFECT! That went exactly off my new prescription & did an outstanding job. I won’t hesitate to use them again! Pull your favorite frames out of the drawer & give it a shot. It will work for you as well. Thank you again Alex & TEAM! Marty Hunt

CDr. Wright wanted to know if I wanted a lens put in my eye to see near or far. I found out from another doctor what should have happened. I should have been asked if my vision was needed more for driving or reading. Since I rarely drive, I should have been encouraged to get the the lens for reading. Also, the other eye doctor said that he would give his patients contact lenses to put in for 20 minutes. One set of lenses for seeing near and then after 20 min, put in the other lenses for seeing far. The point being, that before you make a lifelong decision, because once the lens is in it cannot be taken out, you get a little test drive. Dr. Wright did not provide this option. Sad to say, I went with the recommendation of Dr. Wright and his staff. I am now stuck with my uninformed decision for life. Also, I was led to believe that the halos and floaters would improve with the cataract surgery. They did not. When I asked after the surgery, Dr. Wright said that he did not say that there would be an improvement. Too late now. And, when you get into the surgery room there are about 6 other people on gurneys all in a row. No curtains, no partitions. The surgeon asked me what I was having done. I told him "cataract lens in my left eye". He wanted to know why I wasn't having the new and improved lens that does both near and far with all the bells and whistles that come with that. I said I was doing what my insurance paid for. In a voice loud enough for all to hear, the surgeon asked "Is there some sort of financial hardship". When I asked "what", because I was in disbelief that he would say such a thing, he actually repeated it louder. I repeated..."I am having the surgery that my insurance pays for. How I wish I had gotten off the bed and walked out. I now have a left eye with a lens inserted that is incorrect and the halos and floaters are still there. People can look at me and know that there is a lens in my eye and that it looks different than my right eye. Another thing that I found out is that my eye just barely met the criteria for the surgery. I could have lived with my eyes the way they were for years. Hindsight.... 20/20! And, Dr. Wright has been treating me for gloucoma with eye drops for 2 years. The new doctor says I don't have gloucoma. I have been prescribed glasses by Dr. Wright. New doctor says I don't need prescription glasses, only a 2.5 reader from any drugstore. Every business is about making money. I resent being pushed through the assembly line of Sedona Eye Care. Needless to say, I have changed physicians and will never be returning to Sedona Eye Care. Hope this helps someone else to make the right and informed decision that will be with you for life. Just in case you are wondering, I did voice my concerns to Dr. Wright before deciding to switch Doctors. Thanks for listening. Nora

FWe were scheduled 10:30, but we waited 2 hours past our appointment time. We were there together with the other patients sitting for so long thinking that we would be the next but nobody was next and so we just left. When we were in the parking lot, the lady staff came and told us that there was an emergency patient but they didn't told us that and we can hear them laughing.

AI was more than a little bit apprehensive about going to Walmart for glasses, but was very impressed at how it all turned out. They did an excellent job. The optometrist was cheerful and very good, and so were the other folks, especially the ones finalizing the prescription and helping me find frames. They also cross-checked the final order, to make sure that there were no mistakes, and helped me find the best discount available. I've been meaning to come here and write a review for some time, I was so impressed. I can't speak about the cost really, because I haven't ordered glasses in awhile. They did seem expensive but glasses are anywhere. I had a great experience here and have been very happy with my glasses.

ANorthland Eye CareMy rimless glasses popped a lense. Being new to the Flagstaff area, I visited the provider nearest me for help. Not only did they install a new plastic piece to hold the lense in place, but put in new nose cushions (the old were worn thin) for a cost of $10. I was especially pleased because the receptionist was was very busy at the time and yet the wait was relatively short - about half an hour.- Lynne B.

AMallavia, Dr. DavidBeginning with hte appointment, I was able to get in quickly (within a week). The doctor had an elderly couple who arrived unexpectedly looking for help with a prescription. The doctor personally asked me if he could assist the couple and thanked me when I agreed to let him talk with them, delaying my appointment. While we were late getting started, I never felt like Dr. Mallavia rushed. He performed the exam, answered my questions and then facilitated the remainder of my appointment with the support staff (choosing glasses). I was told my glasses (both regular and prescrption sunglasses) would take about a week to get it. However, three days later I received a call that both glasses were ready. The glasses were exactly what I had ordered. The office also processed my insurance paperwork efficiently.- Barbara D.
