  • First impressions were great. They sent out a supervisor--type person along with the care giver on the first day. The supervisor did an excellent job of capturing information about my mother and explaining to me all about their services. We really liked one of the caregivers they sent and saw it as a good fit for a long term basis. She was great with mom, loved to cook, and practically beg us to let her clean as well. After 3 days we found out she liked to clean because it gave her time in various rooms alone. We thought she was vacuuming, but she was stealing - we lost 100's of dollars in cash, several pieces of jewelry, and credit cards. She also offered to drop off 3 packages of Amazon returns that she took home instead of taking them to UPS. The police are now involved, but the problem I have is that this company made a big deal about how they do background checks every month. I googled this woman and found out she was convicted of a federal criminal offense and she did time in federal prison. If I had known that, there is no way I would have let her in my house with 2 vulnerable seniors. I felt very deceived by the company and I think this is something they should have caught. Word of warning - if you hire an in-home caregiver, even through an agency, run your own background check.

  • Costco is pretty good.  They aren’t too happy in their job but they are pleasant.  They are cheaper than most people.  Their quality is good; they are no better or no worse than anybody.

  • The staff (triage, nurses, and doctors) had an indifferent attitude. Not one person had a kind bedside manner. I also felt as though the doctors and nurses did not take anything I said regarding my symptoms into consideration. Instead of being treated for my symptoms, I was treated like I was scavenging for prescriptions. It was insulting, and the staff was rude! When being discharged, I was handed a stack of papers a dozen thick with medical information and at-home care plus several medications that had to be filled, but no one would take the time to answer any of my questions regarding the medicine or my illness (in other words, no one would tell me what illness I had or why I was being given the medications). I went to the Shea facility emergency room because I knew I was ill and had to been seen by a doctor immediately, but they could have done more for me than shove me out the door without addressing all of my issues. I have been sick before, but I cannot ever remember feeling this sick. I ended up being so ill that I was bedridden for 21 full days, and I believe that the hospital should have done more to diagnose my illness to better treat me. There are not many options for hospitals that are conveniently located, and I will probably end up at the same hospital again at some point, but it would not be my first choice at all.

  • It is located within a block of our home, so it is convenient. Their price is reasonable. The quality of their products is good. Their customer service is fine.
