    EMSP Appliance Repair
Josh came by and ran his diagnostics. He concluded that the rods on the sides of the tub had worn and needed replacing. However, the screachy sound was likely a barring issue which is a far more costly repair. Long story short, I need a new washer. These washers nowadays only last about 5-6yrs. I asked for recommendations and he was definitely helpful. I will definitely call EMSP again if Im in need of any appliance service. I completely understand that a service call is time/money, but I do have to say when you pay $100 only to find out you need to replace your appliance, it still hurts the pocket book. Not to mention having to shell out another few more hundred dollars for your new appliance.

Travis arrived on time, was professional and thorough. Made sure that it was not a lack of refrigerant or compressor problem. Found that it was slightly deformed seal on the door that was leaking cold air to the room, Applied a heat gun and reshaped the gasket on the door. Fixed the problem. After the service, I had plugged the fridge into a GFI outlet and lost power to the fridge when the defrost cycle started a few hours later. Didn't know what happened and called Dependable to come back. Travis came back the next day and found my mistake. Problem quickly solved.

The oven was no problem. It went in with ease. The refrigerator, on the other hand, they took out the old one and brought the new one in. It turned out it would not fit the opening. So they were going to leave both refrigerators in my garage until I could get the counter top trimmed. It wasn't until I complained they finally brought the old refrigerator, and reattached the doors, into the kitchen. When I went to hook it up, the installer finally helped and hooked it up for me. I waited over a month to have it installed then I had to wait 2 months for Sears Home Improvement to get my counter top trimmed. When the counter top had been trimmed, Sears said they were no longer responsible for installation even though another of their divisions caused the 2 month delay.

    Christie's Appliance LLC
The technician thought the leak might be from a faulty latch, so he ordered one. Waited over 2 weeks for part. When he came back he had changed his mind, and installed a new gasket instead. Problem not solved. Waited another 2 weeks. Another technician said gasket had been installed backwards, re-installed. Still not solved. Just called and they said they could sent no one for several days. We have bought from Christie's before and always had great service. Something has changed to make this worst imaginable customer service. Will never call them again and will take our new appliance business elsewhere.

It was very smooth. Dave and Sammy came out to inspect the dishwasher, answer questions and give the bid. They charged $99 for this, which was later deducted from the final bill. They were both professional and kind, and they know the business! Dave explained the work in detail, and everything made sense to me. Hooray! They ordered the parts and arrived to complete the work about 1.5 weeks later. Dave called to make sure I was home before he arrived. And he and his assistant did the work in less time than they'd planned. The dishwasher works so well! We are very pleased! Ahhhhh, so nice to not have to hand-wash dishes. Thank you, Dave and Sammy!

    Appliance Specialists
In July 2017, the ice maker on my fridge stopped working. Additionally, prior to the ice maker ceasing to function entirely, the dispenser did not work, so to get ice you would have to open the freezer and retrieve the ice manually. I contacted my home warranty company, American Home Shield (AHS), to have it fixed. They contracted with Appliance Specialists in Tucson. Between July 2017 and December 2017, Appliance Specialists came to the house a number of times. They first came out to look at the fridge to determine what was wrong, then ordered some parts and replaced the ice maker. The ice maker failed and they replaced it again. The second ice maker also failed. In addition to the ice maker not working, the water/ice dispenser on the front did not work, and they never bothered trying to replace or fix that. In early the December, in addition to the ice maker still not working, the fridge leaked 1-2 gallons of water out of the freezer and onto the kitchen floor. I put in another work request to get the fridge fixed. Appliance Specialist came out to look at the fridge again. The technician looked into the ice maker and reached up into the mechanism, finding some ice. I told him about the leaking issue. Additionally, I told him even though there may be some ice stuck up in the mechanism, the ice maker was not putting ice in the bucket. Initially, he claimed he could still fix it. When I made the point that he had had 5 months to fix it and was unsuccessful, in practice that means he can't fix it. He agreed to "put it in for options" with AHS, which (as I understand) means the item is broken and AHS works with me to replace the fridge. After waiting for almost 2 weeks, we contacted AHS and they had the technicians notes saying the fridge had been fixed and was working. I told AHS this was not the case and to contact the technician. When AHS contacted the technician, he said the fridge was making ice and it was still repairable. At this point, I asked AHS to get another technician, which they are in the process of doing. Most of my frustration is due to this company not fixing the issue and stringing AHS and myself along for almost 6 months without a working fridge. Until we finally got AHS to assign another company, there was no recourse. AHS wouldn't do anything until the technician admitted he couldn't fix it and Appliance Specialists seemed content to just keep billing service calls to AHS. On top of that, Appliance Specialists are next to impossible to get on the phone. They take days just to return calls, or just ignore them entirely. They seem happy to just come out once or twice a month, fix nothing, collect their service fee, and move on. This is one of the reasons I hate dealing with home warranty companies; you have to hire whatever scumbags they have a contract with, instead of hiring someone you actually want that is competent and trustworthy. There is no way I would recommend this company to anyone else, but that probably won't mean much because I am guessing all their business is with warranty companies, as no end user would hire them voluntarily.

They found out that the defrosting fan had frozen over with ice and could not send cool air out to the fridge. The work performed seems to have corrected the problem. The service techs were efficient and knowledable and the price for the work was reasonable.

Turned out to be a board that needed resetting. Didn't even know that fridges used boards! Company was very responsive and communication was excellent. Team actually called to let us know they were 10 minutes away. Workers were courteous and professional. Highly recommended, and would use them again. Especially want to mention Travis.

Roaches... Keep reading....The first time they came out, they said they did not have the part to fix the issue, and would call when the part was in. They called a week later to ask me for the part number, as their repairman had not written it down to start the ordering process. Three weeks later, they called and scheduled service. Two hours before they were to arrive, the called and said the part was not the right part (they had just gotten around to opening the box). Two weeks later we still hadn't heard anything. We called AHS (to switch providers) and then they contacted to schedule. The repairman arrived, who was malodorous (again) . After an hour in, I walked in the kitchen and noticed a three dead cockroaches (the repairman had killed and left there). I was horrified (assumed they came from under the dishwasher) then noticed one crawling out of his box. I opened the box, and killed three more. I took the box outside and told him there were roaches in his box. His response, "could be". I killed another one on my counter and two more on the floor. There were also numerous small black bugs on the floor, killed approximately 10. The cherry on top? When he left, the entire dishwasher did not work. He told me it would work when it dried out.

It was great. The man that came out, Vladimir, told me if I had any issues to give him a call. I did end up having a problem after that, and he was off that day. The lady in the office said she would give him my number and have him call me back when he is back in the office. He ended up calling me 30 minutes after I called and helped me out over the phone even on his day off! I am very pleased with them.
