  • I had initially called Home Depot who turned the job over to Delta Mechanical. The plumber they sent looked at the water heater location & said the new one he brought was too large. He could not do the job. I paid $75 for the trip charge. I then called Water Heaters Only & described the situation. The advisor I spoke with thought they could do it & had one of their plumbers, Trevor, at my house at 8:00 AM the next day. Trevor had a 'can-do' attitude & got the job done with a water heater the same size that Home Depot had failed with. I was impressed with his attitude & professionalism.

  • Jen & Jermaine came out to my house to do an evaluation. They showed me pictures of how my house was leaking air through the attic & my ducts were leaking. They informed me of how i can get discounts through APS to help get the work done. I just had the work completed & everyone was on time, courteous & respctful. i Highly recommend having Jen come to your house to do check up. If your home was sick how would you know?

  • Awesome service! My water heater decided to start spewing water on Memorial Day. I put out feelers on another website and Doug called me on his way home from vacation. He set up an appointment for Tuesday and was there right on time. I had other quotes, but Doug's customer service and quote were the best! I called him on Tuesday afternoon to accept his bid, he said it would be Thursday or Friday to get it installed. He called me on Wednesday afternoon to say it would be Thursday. Thursday arrived, they were early!!!! They did a fantastic job!

  • I've used Parker & Sons before and they are the most professional group of people. They look at what the issue is and then give me a estimate up front, then once I agree they do the work quickly. They always clean up so you would never know they had been there. Also they check other systems to make sure there are no other issues, like the water pressure and hardness, check my water heater and water conditioner.
    Will definatly use them again.
    However the deal I purchased was not a good deal! I never ended up using the coupon because they already gave me some discounts that ended up being a better deal. So I would not suggest buying any deals on Angies List, instead just contact them directly!

  • Jeff Oehm was the plumber from Day/Night that worked with me.  He provided the estimate and services that I needed. He is very professional and easy going.  Can to my house same day as called and provided the water heater replacement estimate.  The water heater had a slow leak and was 18 years old. He came to the house on Saturday (regular work day for Day/Night with no extra charge) with all the needed equipment. After around 2 hours, the water heater was replaced with him hauling the original one away. Along with the water heater replacement, he replaced all the connecting plumbing due to 18 years of Phoenix hard-water buildup.  He checked the water pressure coming into the house and it was very high at 110 psi.  Day/Night won't warranty their work if the water pressure coming into the house is not between 65 - 75 psi.  He then gave me an estimate to put a regulator between the city water and my house. Later in the week, I checked around including talking to the city and found out that 65 - 75 psi is the ideal pressure.  The city would come check the pressure but would only work on regulating it if the pressure was outside of their range of 50 - 120 psi.  My pressure was 110 psi.  I had Jeff come back to install the pressure regulator outside of the house.  As usual, Jeff was right ahead of schedule and replaced all the outside plumbing including the corroded shut off valve.

    My experience with Jeff and Day/Night was very professional including working with the customer service reps at the home office.  They may be a bit more expensive than expected but their professionalism and quality of work is worth it.

  • The guy was very nice, very professional, and very eager to help. He did not give an invoice or receipt, and I also bought a shower head for which I paid 30 bucks, and I saw it at Home Depot, it was for 9 Dollars. I paid him to do the labor and altogether I paid 90 Dollars. I asked him to send me the receipt, and he said that he would drop it off when he was in the area, I told him there was no need to make a special call, to come to my home to give me a receipt, and they should just mail it to me. I always like to have receipts, because I always make a  file for every vendor who has performed. He did well, he was kind enough to do everything that day, as far as flushing the water heater, he checked the pressure on the water, and he did a lot of the stuff that was specified on the big deal. My kitchen sink has a Delta faucet, and I asked him that it is always dripping, and I have to put it in this position for it to not leak, and if he can fix it. He gave me a price of 150 Dollars, because he has to order the parts. Long story short, it is  a Delta faucet, so Delta has a life time warranty, and this was done by a previous plumber. He wanted to charge me for a part that Delta provides for free. 150 Dollars was for the service. The girl that gave me the part said it was very easy, and I could do it myself, and if I needed help, I could call them. He was going to charge me that amount for something that he could have just charged me for the trip or the labor. He also forgot to give me 10% Discount on the service of the first day, he should have said that he would give me 10% because of the Angie's List deal. The previous plumber that I had wanted to charge me for a part that was free. Overall he was nice, he did things quickly, he told me things that needed to be done in the future, he did tune up for the toilet, and the only thing that I didn't like was that he was honest about the sink. He was very responsive.  He was punctual and very professional.

  • They made 2 visits to my house, the first time to replace my kitchen faucet, the gentleman in the office forgot to post my appointment so they didn't show up the first time.  After I called to make another appointment Ever showed up on time and replaced the faucet in a professional and timely manner.  I had them come out again to fix my shower faucet, they were overbooked and short handed in the front office so Ever was 2 hours late but got the work done again timely and professionally explaining to me what he was doing and why.  I believe this company needs better office staff but the actual plumbing work was done well and quickly.

  • We've been customers of Parker & Sons since moving to Px in 1997. They were recommended by a family member who had worked with Parker & Sons previously and I would certainly recommend them to anyone else. We recently had a new water heater and whole house water softener installed by Parker. Their work, work attitude and abilities were top-notch. While doing the installation a potential problem was discovered.  We approved the additional work and it was fixed right away.  Since then we have had occasion to use the new shut off (the additional work) and it works perfectly.  They were very professional and friendly. They were careful in moving things out of the way of their work area and cleaned up after finishing the job.

    Previously we had our AC units replaced.  Again, Parker replaced the old units and while doing the work noticed a problem in the original AC installation that was costing us more in our electric bill and that the new units being installed  properly should correct that problem. We've been nothing but very pleased with this work.
     
    We have a maintenance contract with Parker and they contact us when its time for our bi-annual check-up.  They are always on time and their work is done as promised. Along with maintenance, the contract entitles us to various discounts on parts and labor.   I wish there were more professionals in the valley like Parker & Sons. Anytime we need plumbing, heating and AC service, the only company we will call will be Parker & Sons.

  • I had a new 12-year water heater installed. If it breaks down within those 12 years, they will replace it. Their prices are high, but so is the quality of their service and the knowledge of their service people. Their truck is supposedly equipped with everything you may need for the job, so they can do it right the first time. Their Ben Franklin club is currently (6/2010) $89 per year but offers discounts on work performed. In one instance, the first time they came to my home, the driver arrived late and they deleted the charge for the service call, per their guarantee. If they give you a discount magnet, keep it. It can be used on multiple visits. I am not fond of the higher prices, but am very happy with the quality of their people and service.
